Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease that is a problem in public health. DM is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia (an increase in serum glucose levels) due to lack of the hormone insulin, decreased effect of insulin and or both. Diet or diet is an important determinant that determines obesity and insulin resistance, so the provision of health education is a way to maintain the stability of insulin in DM clients. This case study aims to get an overview of the implementation of health education in improving the eating habits of DM clients. The method used is descriptive in the form of case studies with the criteria that the subject is a family with diabetes mellitus health problems through health education intervention about diet. The results of the case study showed that there was a decrease in blood sugar levels, good motivation of the families in implementing the DM diet, and behavioral changes by 76% (good category) in subject I, as far as subject II behavior change was 80% (good category ) Based on the results of this case study it is expected that nurses through health cadres are able to monitor the implementation of DM diet in families with optimal DM health problems.

Abstract

One of the problems that contributed the largest numbers on mortality and maternal morbidity was anemia in the postpartum period. It is estimated that 50-80% of women suffer from anemia at 48 hours after birth. Anemia in women is associated with increased birth Infant Low Birth Weight (LBW), prematurity, maternal and child deaths and infections. This study aims to identify the relationship between dietary patterns and the incidence of iron deficiency anemia in post partum mothers at dr. Zainoel Abidin hospital Banda Aceh. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional study design. This research was conducted from June to September 2019 with 102 respondents selected through the non-probability sampling method. Respondents were postpartum mothers who were treated in room 2 (obstetric inpatient room). The study technique was carried out by giving a questionnaire and hemoglobin check has been carried out using HB meter. The data obtained were analyzed using the chi square statistical test with a confidence level of 95%. This study found that the prevalence of anemia was 49,0% of respondents had mild anemia (Hb levels 9-10,9 gr / dl), 10,8% had moderate anemia (Hb levels 7-8,9 gr / dl), and 40,2% not having anemia (Hb levels >11gr / dl). Overall, there is a significant relationship between dietary patterns and the incidence of anemia in postpartum mothers at dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh (p value 0,032).

Abstract

Covid-19 is a pneumonia caused by coronavirus, very fast transmission. This study aims to descriptions nursing diagnosis in covid-19 patients. This is a descriptive study uses quantitative methods. The sampling technique used is consecutive sampling with total samples are 240 medical records of covid-19 patients undergoing treatment at Fatmawati Hospital, both suspected, probable, and confirmed cases. The results showed that nursing diagnoses that often appeared in Covid-19 patients were the risk of infection (spread), ineffective airway, acut pain, anxiety, and the risk of nutritional deficits. The results of this study can be used for the hospital in making Covid-19 Nursing Care Guidelines, and for nurses in increasing their competences in care covid-19 patients.

Abstract

Sometimes found babies who are hospitalized to experience weight loss or weight gain that are stuck. If if this problem lasts long it will affect baby's development and quality of life in the future. This study identified the effect of giving infant massage on the increase in baby weight during hospitalization. The study design was qualitative with multiple case design involving two infants and a mother who had the inclusion criteria: The baby did not have an intravenous fluid drip, the baby did not have congenital disease, had nursing problems, the risk of fluid volume deficiency, and the age of the baby was equal to or more than 6 days, and primipara. The research was conducted in March 2019, perinatology room of Fatmawati Hospital. The instruments used were in-depth interviews to explore the knowledge and skills of mothers caring for babies, flipcharts and videos to provide information on infant massage and using observation sheets to measure the mother's skills in infant massage. The results showed that there were differences in the knowledge and skills of mothers in doing baby massage, the average increase in baby weight was 30-45 grams per day. It is important that nurses provide education so that mothers can be skilled and confident while caring for their babies at home and increase the baby's weight while in the hospital.

Abstract

Since March 2015 at the Asian level, the number of cases of bullying that has happened to students in schools has reached 70%. The impact of body shaming will lead to poor self-assessment. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between body shaming treatment on body image among adolescents in Depok. The design of this research is quantitative with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study is 81 students in Depok. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. Data are analyzed using Chi-Square test. The results showed that there is a relationship between body shaming treatment on body image among adolescents in the Depok area, aimed at p values ​​of 0.017 (p <0.05). Teenagers who get a low body shaming treatment will have a positive body image and vice versa. Intervention needs to be done to reduce body shaming treatment in adolescents in improving body image.
