Abstract

This research investigates the impact of employer branding, e-recruitment, and corporate reputation on job applicants' intention to apply, with social media usage as a moderating variable. In a competitive digital landscape, understanding how these factors influence job seekers' behavior is crucial for companies aiming to attract top talent. Based on a sample of 203 respondents and measured using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the study demonstrates that both employer branding and e-recruitment positively and significantly influence the intention to apply. Corporate reputation is crucial in determining applicants' decisions, and social media activity strengthens the correlation between the intention to apply for jobs and the company's reputation. These results imply that businesses should prioritize employer branding and actively manage their digital presence, particularly on social media, to better engage with and attract potential job applicants.

Abstract

This research explores how face consciousness and acquisition centrality influence intentions to purchase counterfeit goods, with counterfeit attitude serving as a mediator and perceived anonymity as a moderator. This study utilized a survey method and included 284 Indonesian customers. Data was evaluated using SmartPLS software and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that face consciousness has a negative effect on counterfeit attitudes (β = -0.180, p < 0.003), while acquisition centrality has a positive impact (β = 0.802, p < 0.000). Additionally, counterfeit attitude mediates the relationship between these factors and buying intentions. Perceived anonymity moderates these relationships by weakening the connection between face consciousness and counterfeit attitude (β = -0.114, p < 0.020) but enhancing the link between acquisition centrality and counterfeit attitude (β = 0.326, p < 0.000). These findings show that social concerns and materialistic values strongly influence attitudes and intentions toward counterfeit products. Practical consequences include targeted consumer education to diminish the counterfeit appeal and promote the value of genuine products. Policymakers are asked to tighten restrictions and raise awareness of the economic and ethical consequences of counterfeit products. Marketers can use these data to differentiate their products and appeal to consumers' demand for authenticity.

Abstract

This research investigates how the Indonesian capital market reacts to a major political milestone the release of quick count and official manual count results from the 2024 Presidential Election. The study focuses on a sample of highly liquid equities included in the KOMPAS100 Index. The investigation assesses anomalous returns (AR) and trading volume activity (TVA) over two different windows before and after the announcements using a quantitative approach using an event study methodology. The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) provided the data, which were then evaluated using paired sample t-tests. The findings imply that there was no statistically significant change in abnormal returns or trading activity as a result of the official count announcements or the rapid count. Nonetheless, notable differences emerged when comparing the pre-event periods of both announcements, with TVA showing substantial movement after both events. These findings imply that the capital market tends to express reactions through fluctuations in trading activity rather than price volatility, particularly within the segment of highly liquid stocks. Therefore, while large-scale political events like presidential elections may not significantly alter returns, they do influence trading behaviors.

Abstract

Firm value reflects investors’ confidence in a company’s management capabilities, ultimately affecting their financial returns. Assessing a firm's value is crucial for investment decisions as it shapes investor perceptions. This research aims to examine the influence of profitability, tax planning, and leverage on firm value in Indonesian companies listed on the Kompas 100 index, with firm size as a moderating variable. The samples were selected using purposive sampling, yielding 222 observations from 37 companies. The panel data were analyzed using moderated regression analysis with EViews 13. The findings reveal that whereas leverage has no appreciable beneficial effect on firm value, profitability and tax planning do. Furthermore, firm size significantly moderates these relationships, enhancing the positive effects of profitability and tax planning, and mitigating the negative impact of leverage on firm value. This research implies that in corporate management should prioritize profitability through operational efficiency and sustainable growth strategies, and utilize legal and efficient tax planning to enhance firm value
