Abstract

This research aims to improve the basic technique of dribbling the ball in football games using modified equipment. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 stages, namely Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection with the process (1) Improving the ability to dribble the ball by applying equipment modifications. (2) Planning the form of action in cycle II based on the results of reflection on cycle I. The research subjects were 22 seventh grade students of MTs Al Huda Mubung, Hulu Gurung District, Kapuas Hulu Regency. The results of the study showed that in the first cycle 15 people (68%) of students achieved the KKTP score (75), while 7 students (31.8%) were below the KKTP score. Cycle II showed that only 2 people (9.09%) did not achieve the KKTP score, while 20 students (90.9%) achieved the KKTP score. This illustrates that learning to improve the ability to dribble the ball in soccer games with equipment modifications can be declared successful and can be applied in schools, therefore it is recommended that teachers in teaching and learning activities should use various methods to improve students' abilities, one of which is implementing equipment modifications in the subject of Physical Education, Sports and Health.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the levels of achievement motivation and physical fitness among soccer athletes representing Pidie Regency at PORA. The research employed an evaluative research design with a quantitative approach. The population consisted of all 22 soccer athletes registered for PORA, and due to the limited population size, total sampling was applied. Achievement motivation was measured using a Likert-scale questionnaire, while physical fitness was assessed through a 2.4 km running test (Cooper test). Data were analyzed using categorical scale classification and percentage analysis. The results showed that the average achievement motivation score was 131.68, categorized as moderate. Specifically, 13.63% of athletes were classified as having low motivation, 27.28% moderate motivation, and 59.09% high motivation. Meanwhile, the average physical fitness score was 11.14, which fell into the good category. The distribution indicated that 13.64% of athletes were in the low category, 50% moderate, 18.18% good, and 18.18% very good. These findings suggest that although physical fitness levels were generally good, achievement motivation still requires further enhancement to support optimal competitive performance.

Abstract

Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) is a subject that plays an important role in developing physical fitness, motor skills, social attitudes, and healthy lifestyles of students. The success of PJOK learning is greatly influenced by the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to determine the availability, condition, and ownership status of physical education facilities and infrastructure in Junior High Schools (SMP) throughout Teluk Pakedai District, Kubu Raya Regency. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a survey research form. The subjects of this study were 7 Public Junior High Schools in Teluk Pakedai District. The data collection technique used direct observation with instruments in the form of observation sheets and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage techniques to describe the condition of physical education facilities and infrastructure in each school. The results of the study indicate that the availability of physical education facilities and infrastructure in Junior High Schools throughout Teluk Pakedai District is generally still uneven, both in terms of quantity and type. The condition of some facilities and infrastructure is in the good category, but some are still found to be damaged and unsuitable for use. The ownership status of physical education facilities and infrastructure is generally owned by the school. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that physical education facilities and infrastructure in junior high schools throughout Teluk Pakedai District, Kubu Raya Regency, require further attention to support the effective and optimal learning process of physical education and health.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of traditional games on the motor skills of students at SD Negeri 34 Kubu, Kubu Raya Regency. The study used an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample of the study was 15 third-grade students. The research instruments included a 25-meter back and forth running test, eye-hand coordination, static balance, and dynamic balance. Treatment was given through five traditional games, namely hide and seek, hopscotch, tewor kanal, jump rope, and gobak sodor for 14 meetings. The results showed an increase in motor skills after being given treatment. The average pretest was 14.20 and the posttest increased to 21.93 with a difference in increase of 7.53 points. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed a significance value of 0.308 for the pretest and 0.832 for the posttest (p>0.05) so that the data were normally distributed. Furthermore, the results of the Paired Sample t-Test showed a calculated t value of 7.161 greater than the t table of 2.145 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that traditional games have a significant effect on improving the motor skills of students at SD Negeri 34 Kubu, Kubu Raya Regency.
