Abstract

PT. Yes Study Education Group Indonesia is an overseas education consultancy founded by international alumni and based in Toronto, Canada, with experience helping thousands of students from various parts of the world to achieve their dream of studying abroad. However, it is not easy to study abroad because there are several factors and documents that must be prepared, such as passports, visas, and English test certificates like the Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). To achieve optimal results, good learning outcomes are required; furthermore, of course, learning outcomes are indicators of student achievement, so an algorithm is needed to determine student performance, with the aim of serving as a supporting tool in evaluating the learning process and outcomes using the naïve bayes classifier algorithm with a trial dataset of 200 student names along with their respective scores, from which 80 test records were obtained. From these calculations, the Gaussian NB model with a 50:50 split validation yielded an accuracy of 73%, scenario 2 with a 60:40 ratio yielded 75% accuracy, scenario 3 with a 70:30 ratio yielded 76.6% accuracy, scenario 4 with an 80:20 ratio yielded 82.2% accuracy, and scenario 5 with a 90:10 ratio yielded 85% accuracy.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize the shortest route for sending sacrificial animals to UD Ridho in Bekasi by applying the Djikstra algorithm. In the sacrificial animal delivery industry, efficient route selection is very important to ensure fast delivery times and low operational costs. Djikstra's algorithm, which is known as one of the most popular graph algorithms for finding the shortest path, is used in this study to calculate the best delivery route. This research began with modeling a delivery route network involving main delivery points in Bekasi. Data regarding the distance between points is collected and entered into the system for analysis using the Djikstra algorithm. The results of implementing this algorithm are compared with the delivery routes currently used by UD Ridho. The research results show that using the Djikstra algorithm can reduce the total distance traveled and delivery time significantly compared to the previously used route method. Thus, applying the Djikstra algorithm to the sacrificial animal delivery route at UD Ridho can increase operational efficiency and reduce delivery costs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sales trends and market dynamics of PT. Enseval Putera Megatrading over a specific period. The data used includes sales information from various branches across Indonesia, obtained from monthly and annual sales reports. Through this analysis, we identified consistent and fluctuating sales patterns, as well as the factors influencing sales, both internally, such as marketing strategies, service quality, and inventory management, and externally, such as economic conditions, market competition, and government policy changes. This research also measures the effectiveness of various sales strategies implemented by the company, with the aim of providing data-driven recommendations to enhance future sales performance. The results of the study show significant sales variations between branches and periods, caused by several internal factors like sales team performance and external factors such as market demand trends and raw material price fluctuations. These findings offer valuable insights for management in formulating more effective and adaptive strategies in response to the ever-changing market dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to identify potential customers and help local coffee entrepreneurs compete by offering products that customers desire, as well as address challenges in determining high‑potential menu items using the K‑Means algorithm. The data consist of TitikSetara Coffee’s revenue records from October 2023 through January 2024. RapidMiner software was used to perform clustering via the K‑Means algorithm. The sales data were grouped into three clusters: Cluster 0 for high‑potential menu items, Cluster 1 for medium‑potential menu items, and Cluster 2 for low‑potential menu items. Out of the 26 records analyzed, Cluster 0 contains 4 menu items, Cluster 1 contains 14 menu items, and Cluster 2 contains 8 menu items, with a Davies–Bouldin Index of 0.374. The identified high‑potential menu items can serve as a reference for TitikSetara Coffee, and it is expected that these recommendations will be well‑targeted.

Abstract

Gladiators were fighters in ancient Rome who participated in arena battles as a form of public entertainment, often held in the Colosseum in Rome. The battles could take place between gladiators or against wild animals. Gladiators usually came from various backgrounds, such as prisoners of war, slaves, or even volunteers. The life of a gladiator was filled with risks, but those who survived could gain fame, wealth, and freedom. This study aims to analyze the effect of age on gladiator fighters' victories using a simple linear regression method, where the battle is influenced by various factors, including age. The data used includes the age and victories of gladiator fighters, which were analyzed to show a correlation between the gladiators' age and the number of victories obtained. This study provides specific insights into the physical characteristics that affect success in battle, as well as offering scientific factors for researchers regarding factors that influence fighting performance.

Abstract

Stress is a condition that is felt when someone faces a challenge, or is in a situation that requires us to adjust quickly to a change. In the academic world, it is not uncommon for a student or student to experience stress due to several pressures such as assignments, exams, reports, and in the expected academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the effect of academic achievement on student stress levels, by applying multiple linear regression data mining methods. The data is obtained from 2028 students from 15 top-ranked universities in Bangladesh, including 9 public/government universities and 6 private universities. Through multiple linear regression analysis, this study evaluated the relationship between the independent variables, i.e., age of the students, GPA (Grade Point Average) of the students, frequency of feeling upset due to academic affairs, frequency of feeling unable to control important matters in academic affairs, frequency of feeling nervous and stressed due to academic pressure, frequency of feeling unable to cope with all mandatory academic activities, frequency of feeling confident in handling academic problems, frequency of feeling that academic affairs are going as desired, frequency of ability to control irritation in academic affairs, and the dependent variable, i.e., stress scores experienced by the students. This research provides insights for educational institutions to design strategies to help students manage academic stress, such as counseling and time management programs. By understanding the factors that influence stress, it is hoped that students can improve their psychological well-being during the lecture period.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between alcohol content, density, and pH in red wine using multiple linear regression method. Alcohol content, density, and pH are important parameters that affect the quality and characteristics of red wine. In this study, red wine samples from different types and regional origins were analyzed to measure alcohol content, density, and pH using distillation, hydrometer, and pH meter techniques. The data obtained were then analyzed by multiple linear regression to identify the simultaneous influence of these variables on each other. The analysis showed that alcohol content had a significant effect on density, with a strong positive relationship. In addition, multiple linear regression revealed a significant effect between alcohol content and pH, although this effect was not linear and was influenced by other factors such as grape type and fermentation technique. The resulting regression model shows that alcohol content, density and pH are interrelated and provides a deeper understanding of the complex interactions between these parameters in red wine.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Best Student Selection System using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. Problem identification was carried out through observation and interviews with individuals authorized to manage and understand the best student selection process at SMK Assalam. A literature review was conducted to gather information about the SAW method and its application in schools. The alternative data collected included ten students selected as candidates for the selection process, which was then normalized to convert the data into a relative and comparative scale across criteria. The decision support system implemented using the SAW method was evaluated by collecting implementation data and analyzing the results. The evaluation results indicate that the system can provide useful information to support decision-making in selecting the best student.

Abstract

The experience and subjective opinions of restaurant management are the only factors used in the manual supplier selection process. Uncertainty about product availability and quality, higher costs, and difficulty managing supplier relationships are just a few of the issues that can arise from this approach. Finding a balance between product quality and price is a common challenge when selecting suppliers. Restaurants must consider suppliers' prices and ensure they align with the quality of the food they serve. A multi-criteria research method for selecting restaurant suppliers is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) algorithm. Each relevant supplier selection criterion must be ranked and weighted according to this procedure. By using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, a decision support system for restaurant supplier selection can simplify and accelerate the supplier selection process and provide timely and accurate reporting.
