Indonesian Community Service Journal of Computer Science (IndoComs) merupakan jurnal yang menerbitkan artikel kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat yang memanfaatkan keilmuan komputer/informatika, teknologi informasi, rekayasa perangkat lunak, atau sistem informasi ke dalam kegiatan atau produk yang telah dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat. IndoComs dipublikasikan secara online dengan menggunakan Open Journal System (OJS). Periode penerbitan IndoComs adalah 2 (dua) kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada bulan Januari dan Juli.

Abstract

Community service activities with the theme of Increasing Creativity Using AI at the As-Syamsuriyah Foundation aim to enhance the skills of the children under the care of the As-Syamsuriyah Foundation in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology through visual arts in the form of videos that can be used for effective documentation and publication. In this digital era, AI offers great potential to boost human creativity, but its use must be carried out carefully and responsibly. By understanding and addressing ethical challenges, we can ensure that AI becomes a partner that enriches the creative world, rather than a threat that undermines it. Wise implementation of AI allows humans to continue to evolve, creating works that harmoniously blend technology and human touch. This training includes visual arts in the form of videos utilizing AI technology that can be used for documentation and publication. Participants will learn to utilize AI using software to create easily accessible animation videos suitable for the foundation's documentation needs. This activity is expected to help the foundation's children improve their creativity using AI while still paying attention to ethical aspects. The output of this community service activity will be in the form of articles in print or electronic media, increased knowledge and skills of the partners.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan bagian dari program BSI Explore 2025 yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua dan siswa di Desa Tanjung Saleh mengenai pentingnya pendidikan tinggi sebagai investasi jangka panjang untuk masa depan. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan talkshow dan sosialisasi program beasiswa yang diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Pontianak, mencakup tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman orang tua tentang peran mereka dalam pendidikan anak sebesar 21%, antusiasme peserta sebesar 44%, wawasan pendidikan sebesar 23%, serta kesadaran akan dukungan pendidikan sebesar 12%. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini dinilai efektif dalam menumbuhkan minat peserta untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang perguruan tinggi serta mempererat hubungan antara UBSI Pontianak dan masyarakat Desa Tanjung Saleh.

Abstract

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training Program at Yayasan Naelul Khair, Bekasi, is a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the technological literacy and skills of foster children in response to the evolving demands of digital-based education. The program introduces fundamental AI concepts applicable to learning processes, particularly in assisting with subjects perceived as challenging. Beyond technical proficiency, the training emphasizes the development of critical thinking, collaboration, and technology-driven problem-solving capabilities. This initiative reflects the synergy between education and technology in cultivating an adaptive, competitive younger generation capable of contributing meaningfully to inclusive and sustainable development. Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) di Yayasan Naelul Khair Kota Bekasi diselenggarakan sebagai upaya strategis untuk meningkatkan literasi dan keterampilan teknologi anak-anak asuh dalam menghadapi dinamika pendidikan berbasis digital. Program ini memperkenalkan konsep dasar AI yang dapat diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, terutama untuk membantu pemahaman terhadap mata pelajaran yang dianggap sulit. Selain penguasaan teknis, pelatihan ini juga menekankan pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kolaboratif, dan pemecahan masalah berbasis teknologi. Inisiatif ini mencerminkan sinergi antara pendidikan dan teknologi dalam menciptakan generasi muda yang adaptif, berdaya saing, dan mampu berkontribusi secara aktif dalam pembangunan yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve ethical literacy in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) environments, particularly in Kubu Raya Regency. Based on observations, PAUD teachers who are members of HIMPAUDI Kubu Raya still face challenges in understanding the principles of ethics, privacy, and security of children's data when using AI-based technology in learning. This program offers gradual training consisting of three levels: basic (introduction to AI and ethics), intermediate (identifying safe and appropriate AI applications), and advanced (responsible AI implementation strategies). The training is complemented by case studies, discussions of ethical issues, mentoring, and facilitation of the development of contextual guidelines based on local values. In addition, a community of practitioners is formed as a collaborative forum for teachers to share experiences and solutions. The activity outputs include increased understanding of AI ethics, the ability to select safe applications, activity documentation, scientific and popular publications, and improved quality of PAUD learning that supports holistic child development. This program is expected to encourage the creation of a culture of ethical and wise use of AI among PAUD educators.
