Jurnal ABDI RAKYAT adalah sebuah jurnal yang fokus pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta (UTY). Jurnal ini merupakan platform ilmiah yang didedikasikan untuk publikasi hasil pengabdian yang terdaftar dengan nomor E-ISSN 3032-7199 (media online) . Jurnal ABDI RAKYAT diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM) di Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta. Jurnal ini bersifat multidisiplin dan terbit dua kali setahun pada bulan Maret dan Oktober, dimulai dari tahun 2024. Tujuan utama publikasi jurnal ini adalah untuk menyebarkan implementasi hasil pemikiran konseptual yang berasal dari penelitian yang dilakukan dalam bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Jurnal ABDI RAKYAT mencakup berbagai kegiatan yang berfokus pada penanganan, pengelolaan, serta potensi, hambatan, tantangan, dan masalah yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat. Dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pelayanan, jurnal ini juga melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dan mitra kerja. Semua kegiatan pelayanan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

The suboptimal system for reporting activities in Kalurahan Semanu potentially hinders efficiency and community participation. Limited access and a less structured reporting flow present obstacles to information dissemination. This community service activity aimed to develop and implement the Lapor Semanu System as a technology-based solution for reporting activities. The methods employed included a participatory approach in identifying needs, designing mobile and website systems, and training village officials and the community on system usage. Evaluation was conducted through observation and feedback questionnaires from training participants. The results of this activity include the creation of a prototype two-sided Lapor Semanu System and the successful execution of training that demonstrated enthusiasm and initial understanding from participants, although the allocation of training time was noted as an important consideration for future development. This system has the potential to enhance efficiency and community participation in reporting activities within Kalurahan Semanu.

Abstract

Many Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bekasi, West Java, do not have adequate understanding and skills regarding their tax obligations. This lack of understanding is generally due to the lack of training they have received in relation to taxation facilities for MSMEs. Nationally and regionally, MSMEs play a vital role in the Indonesian economy. In supporting the growth and sustainability of this sector, the central government, through the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has implemented a taxation scheme specifically designed for MSME players, namely the MSME Final Income Tax (PPh), which apparently has not been widely understood by MSME entrepreneurs in Bekasi. This Community Service activity aims to socialize and train MSME players in the Bekasi area in understanding the policy background, tax subjects and objects, calculation of Final Income Tax for MSMEs, tax payment and tax reporting for MSME players.

Abstract

Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) represent a major occupational health challenge in small, and medium enterprises (SMEs), particularly in manual material handling (MMH) activities performed without mechanical assistance. This community service study aimed to analyze ergonomic risks and implement ergonomic interventions in MMH activities at TB. XX, a building material store in Kulon Progo. The method applied a multidisciplinary approach involving workplace observation, ergonomic risk identification, assessment of musculoskeletal complaints, standardized posture analysis, managerial engagement to ensure organizational commitment, and ergonomic interventions through proper lifting technique training and simple assistive devices. The results indicated that three workers performed MMH involving loads of 3–30 kg for approximately four hours per day and reported musculoskeletal complaints in the neck, shoulders, lower back, and legs. Ergonomic and participatory interventions are expected to reduce WMSD risks and improve occupational safety, comfort, and productivity in SMEs

Abstract

A training session on video shooting techniques and caption writing based on artificial intelligence (AI) was conducted to improve the digital literacy of the Kelompok Informasi Masyarakat (KIM) Senyum Tempel community. The training was motivated by KIM members' limited ability to produce informative and interesting digital content suitable for social media. Implementation methods included interactive lectures, hands-on practice, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. The material covered basic video shooting techniques using smartphones and AI-based caption writing based on the principles of citizen journalism. The results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills, as indicated by an increase in average scores: from 65% to 86% for video shooting techniques and from 64% to 85% for AI-based caption writing. The training was effective in enhancing the participants' digital skills and encouraging KIM to optimize its role as a community-based information provider at the local level.
