Aims AbdiMuh: Journal of Community Service aims to serve as a platform for publishing community service activities that focus on the application of science, technology, and the arts in community empowerment. Scope The scope of AbdiMuh covers the outcomes of community service activities centered on the application of science, technology, and the arts to improve quality of life. Abstract

Perubahan iklim merupakan isu global yang mendesak dan berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa kelas 12 SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalpinang terhadap perubahan iklim dan dampaknya bagi makhluk hidup. Pengabdian ini diselenggarakan dalam tiga tahapan, yakni pretest, edukasi, dan posttest. Hasil pretest menunjukkan pemahaman siswa yang terbatas dengan nilai rerata sebesar 56,36 poin. Selanjutnya, sesi edukasi disampaikan secara interaktif guna mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa. Hasil posttest menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan dengan nilai rerata sebesar 92,42 poin, meningkat 36,06 poin dibandingkan dengan nilai rerata pretest. Hasil ini menunjukkan keefektifan metode edukasi interaktif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman siswa mengenai perubahan iklim, sehingga memotivasi mereka untuk mempertimbangkan tindakan berkelanjutan di komunitas mereka.

Abstract

Abstract The creation of chicken coops with the permaculture method aims to create a structure that supports sustainability, resource efficiency, and animal welfare. Chicken coops built using bamboo as the main material offer an eco-friendly solution by utilizing local materials that are easy to find and lightweight. The design of the enclosure integrates the principles of permaculture by paying attention to factors such as sun direction, ventilation, and water availability. equipped with protective nets to protect chickens from predators and others. The finished product of bamboo permaculture chicken coop not only supports the principles of sustainability and efficiency but also provides good protection for farm animals. Keywords: Gunungmanik Village; Manufacture of chicken coops; Permaculture Abstrak Pembuatan kandang ayam dengan metode permakultur bertujuan untuk menciptakan struktur yang mendukung keberlanjutan, efisiensi sumber daya, dan kesejahteraan hewan. Kandang ayam yang dibangun menggunakan bambu sebagai bahan utama menawarkan solusi ramah lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan bahan lokal yang mudah ditemukan dan tidak berat. Desain kandang mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip permakultur dengan memperhatikan faktor-faktor seperti arah matahari, ventilasi, dan ketersediaan air. dilengkapi dengan jaring pelindung untuk melindungi ayam dari predator dan lainnya. Hasil akhir kandang ayam permakultur dari bambu tidak hanya mendukung prinsip keberlanjutan dan efisiensi tetapi juga memberikan perlindungan yang baik untuk hewan ternak. Abstract

Abstract The sorghum plant is a cereal plant. Sorghum has long been known in Indonesia but was forgotten. This plant has a long history as a main food source in several regions. However, competition with other crops and changes in consumption patterns have meant that sorghum cultivation has experienced a decline. Currently, revitalization efforts are being carried out with a focus on developing superior varieties, applying modern technology and product diversification. Sorghum is also a multi-purpose plant that is resistant to various droughts and soil types. Sorghum also has considerable potential to be developed in Indonesia today. Apart from being a food source, sorghum can also be processed into various value-added products such as flour, syrup and biofuel. With its high nutritional content and good adaptability, sorghum can be a solution for food security and increasing farmers' income. To maximize the potential of sorghum, an innovative approach is needed. Application of precision agricultural technology, development of superior varieties, integration of sorghum in agroforestry systems, and diversification of processed products are some of the solutions that can be implemented. Tanaman ini memiliki sejarah panjang sebagai sumber pangan utama di beberapa wilayah. Namun, terdapat persaingan dengan tanaman lain dan perubahan pola konsumsi membuat budidaya sorgum sempat mengalami penurunan. Saat ini, upaya revitalisasi sedang dilakukan dengan fokus pada pengembangan varietas unggul, penerapan teknologi modern, dan diversifikasi produk. Sorgum juga merupakan tanaman serbaguna yang tahan terhadap berbagai kekeringan dan jenis tanah, sorgum juga memiliki potensi yang cukup besar untuk dikembangkan di Indonesia saat ini Selain sebagai sumber pangan, sorgum juga dapat diolah menjadi berbagai produk bernilai tambah seperti tepung, sirup, dan biofuel. Dengan kandungan nutrisi yang tinggi dan kemampuan beradaptasi yang baik, sorgum dapat menjadi solusi untuk ketahanan pangan dan meningkatkan pendapatan petani untuk memaksimalkan potensi sorgum, diperlukan pendekatan yang inovatif. Penerapan teknologi pertanian presisi, pengembangan varietas unggul, integrasi sorgum dalam sistem agroforestri, dan diversifikasi produk olahan merupakan beberapa solusi yang dapat diterapkan. Dengan demikian, sorgum dapat menjadi komoditas pertanian yang berkelanjutan dan memberikan manfaat ekonomi bagi masyarakat . Abstract

Waste problems and a lack of environmental awareness are crucial issues in the community, including those around campus. This study aims to promote the concept of "replace" (replacing single-use items with environmentally friendly alternatives) as part of the Environmental Education course for children around the UNMUH Babel campus. The research is motivated by the importance of instilling awareness and behavior in waste management from an early age in the younger generation. The community service method used is a participatory and educational approach, involving interactive lectures, audiovisual media, educational games, and hands-on practice in waste sorting. This activity targets elementary school-aged children in the campus environment. The results of the socialization show an increase in children's knowledge about the concept of "replace" and the importance of waste management. A post-activity evaluation showed that approximately 78% of participants were able to understand the concept of "replace," and 65% began to demonstrate positive behavioral changes such as bringing their own water bottles and sorting waste. However, challenges such as limited facilities and lack of family support remain obstacles. This study concludes that the socialization of the "replace" concept is effective in increasing children's environmental awareness and is a concrete implementation of the Environmental Education course.

Abstract

The scientific article writing skills of students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN Dik) are still considered low in terms of academic and digital literacy. The purpose of this activity was to improve the writing skills of AI-based Community Service Program articles among the KKN Dik group at MBS Selong High School, East Lombok. The method used in this community service program was a training activity with socialization and hands-on practice. The method was implemented in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results and discussion indicate that the training using the ChatGPT and Mendeley tools improved participants' understanding of scientific article structure, their ability to use AI ethically, and their ability to produce publishable Community Service Program articles. The integration of AI into the writing training facilitated and increased students' confidence in the academic world. This training activity provided opportunities to produce high-quality scientific work in completing final reports during the Community Service Program.
