Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menjabarkan tahapan dalam pengembangan model pembelajaran  Competence Based Training (CBT) berbasis karakter untuk pembelajaran praktik kerja mesin  di SMK; (2) menjabarkan tahapan kegiatan dalam model pembelajaran; dan (3) mengetahui kelayakan model pembelajaran. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development dengan tahapan: (1) studi pendahuluan untuk mengumpulkan informasi tentang kebutuhan pengembangan; (2) penyusunan model konseptual; (3) melakukan validasi model melalui kegiatan FGD;  (4) merevisi model konseptual; (5) uji coba model konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) tahap  pendahuluan berupa perumusan kompetensi akademik, perumusan karakter kerja pembelajaran praktik, penyusunan model konseptual, proses validasi model konseptual, revisi model konseptual, uji coba  model konseptual; (2) tahap model pembelajaran adalah eksplorasi aspek karakter terkait dengan karakter kerja praktik pemesinan, grouping, diskusi penyusunan work preparation sheet, pelaksanaan praktik  disertai pendampingan dan pembimbingan, proses self assessment; (3) berdasarkan hasil FGD dan  uji coba dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran CBT berbasis karakter untuk pembelajaran praktik kerja mesin di SMK layak untuk diterapkan.   Kata Kunci: pembelajaran competence based training berbasis karakter, pembelajaran praktik kerja mesin, SMK CHARACTER-BASED COMPETENCE-BASED TRAINING (CBT) MODEL  FOR MECHANICAL WORK PRACTICE INSTRUCTION AT VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL Abstract: This research aimed to: (1) describe the steps in developing charater-based Competence-Based Training (CBT) model for mechanical work practice instruction at SMK (vocational high school); (2) describe the steps of activities in the teaching and learning model; and (3) describe the appropriateness  of the the teaching and learning model. This study used Research and Development approach  with the following steps: (1) preliminary study to collect information on the needs for development; (2) drafting the conceptual model; (3) validating the model through focus group discussion (FGD); (4) revising the conceptual model; (5) trying out the conceptual model. The results of the study show: (1) the preliminary study constitutes formulating the academic competencies, formulating the character of work practice instruction, drafting the conceptual model, the process of validating the conceptual model, revising the conceptual model, trying out the conceptual model; (2) the stage of the instructtional  model constitues exploring the character aspects related to the character of mechanical work practice, grouping, discussion on writing work preparation sheet, the implementation of practice followed  by providing support and guidance, self assessment process; (3) based on the results of  FGD and try-out, it can be concluded that  the character-based CBT instruction for mechanical work practice instruction at SMK is worth implementing.    Keywords: character-based competence-based training instruction, mechanical work practice instruction, vocational high school

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui perencanaan program pendidikan karakter di SMP, pengorganisasian program pendidikan karakter, pelaksanaan program pendidikan karakter, dan pengawasan programpendidikan karakter.  Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru PPKn, guru agama, guru olahraga, guru bimbingan dan konseling, orang tua, dan  siswa SMP. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitan disimpulkan  bahwa: (1) perencanaan pendidikan karakter di SMP dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah, wakil kepala  sekolah,  dan semua guru; (2) pengorganisasian pendidikan karakter dilakukan secara bersama-sama antara kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan semua guru; (3) pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter didukung penuh oleh semua komponen sekolah, baik kepala sekolah dan wakilnya, semua guru, orang tua, pengawas sekolah, maupun siswa, dan (4) pengawasan pendidikan karakter diserahkan tanggung jawabnya kepada wakil kepala sekolah urusan kurikulum dan urusan kesiswaan, pembina OSIS, STP2K, dan guru bimbingan konseling dengan saling bekerja sama.  Kata Kunci: implementasi program, pendidikan karakter, SMP IMPLEMENTATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION PROGRAM IN SMP Absract: The purpose of this study was to describe the planning of character education program in SMP, the organization of character education program, the implementation of character education program, and the supervision of character education program. The subjects of the research were the principal, the vice-principal, the teacher of PKn, the teacher of religion, the teacher of Sport, the teacher of guidance and counseling, parents, and the SMP studets. The data collection was carried out by observation, interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative technique. The results of this study show that (1) the planning of the character  education program in SMP was done by the principal, the vice-principal, and all of the teachers; (2) the organization of the character education program in SMP was done together by the principal, the vice-principal, and all of the teachers; (3) the implementation of character education program in SMP was fully supported by all of the school components - the principal, the vice-principal, all of the teachers, the parents, the supervisors, and  the students; and (4) the supervision of the character education program was conducted  together by the vice-principal of curriculum affairs, the vice-principal of student affairs, supervisors of OSIS, STP2K, and the teacher of guidance and counseling. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengasuhan penerimaanpenolakan yang dilakukan orang tua dan lingkungan pengasuhan pada keluarga dengan anak remaja  di wilayah suburban (perbatasan desa dan kota). Penelitian melibatkan 50 keluarga yang dipilih secara acak dari kerangka contoh dan diwawancarai menggunakan kuesioner. Pengasuhan penerimaan-pe- nolakan diukur dengan menggunakan Parental Acceptance Rejection Questionnaire (PARQ) dan lingkungan  pengasuhan diukur dengan menggunakan Home Observation and Measurement of the Environment tipe Early Adolescent (HOME-EA). Hasil penelitian menemukan adanya hubungan nyata antara usia remaja dengan perilaku agresif orang tua. Pendidikan ibu yang semakin meningkat berhubungan nyata dengan lingkungan pengasuhan keluarga yang semakin baik. Hasil juga menunjukkan bahwa pengasuhan penerimaan-penolakan berhubungan nyata dengan kualitas pengasuhan pada keluarga dengan anak remaja di wilayah suburban.   Kata Kunci: HOME-EA, lingkungan pengasuhan, pengasuhan penerimaan-penolakan, PARQ, wilayah suburban PARENTAL ACCEPTANCE DETERMINES ENVIRONMENTAL PARENTING  OF FAMILIES WITH ADOLESCENCE IN THE SUBURBAN AREA Abstract: The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between parental acceptance-rejection and parenting environment in families with adolescence in the suburban area. This study involved 50 families randomly selected. Data were collected by using questionnaire and structured interview. Parental  acceptance-rejection was measured by Parental Acceptance Rejection Questionnaire (PARQ) and parental environment was measured by Home Observation and Measurement of the Environment type Early Adolescent (HOME-EA). The result showed that there was a significant relationship  between age of adolescence and parents’ aggressive behavior. Meanwhile, longer mothers’ education  was significantly correlated with better parenting environment of the family. The results also revealed  that there was a significant  correlation between parental acceptance-rejection and parenting environment in families with adolescence in the suburban area.    Keywords: HOME-EA, parental acceptance-rejection, parenting environment, PARQ, suburban area

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kemampuan guru pendidikan jasmani dalam menyusun rencana dan praktik pembelajaran bervisi karakter, keyakinan guru yang terkait pembelajaran  karakter, dan konstruksi proptotipe model pendidikan jasmani yang efektif diterapkan untuk membentuk karakter siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan populasi guru Pendidikan Jasmani SMP di 50 sekolah  se-Kota Yogyakarta. Sampel diambil secara random sampling sehingga diperoleh 32 guru pendidikan jasmani dari 28 SMP. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan melalui identifikasi muatan karakter terhadap  seluruh Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran dan pendalaman terkait dengan keyakinan guru mengenai pembelajaran karakter. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: (1) kompetensi pedagogik guru Pendidikan Jasmani SMP di Kota Yogyakarta dalam mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter yang terwujud dalam penyusunan RPP masih rendah; (2) pemahaman guru pendidikan jasmani terkait dengan pembelajaran karakter relatif dangkal dengan tata pikir kurang sistematis; dan (3) praktik  pembelajaran  karakter yang dilakukan oleh guru pendidikan jasmani di SMP Kota Yogyakarta cenderung bersifat internalisasi-pasif.    Kata Kunci: guru, pedidikan jasmani, pembelajaran, karakter SPORTS EDUCATION TEACHERS’ ABILITY IN WRITING CHARACTER VISIONBASED LESSON PLANNING AND INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICE Abstract: This study aims to reveal the physical education teachers’ ability in writing character visionbased lesson planning and instructional practice, the teachers’ beliefs related to character teaching and  learning, and the prototype construction of effective sports education model to be applied in shaping  the students’ character. This study used a descriptive method with a population of physical education  teachers  of 50 SMPs in the City of Yogyakarta. A random sampling was administered to get 32 physical  education teachers from 28 SMPs. The data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis was conducted through character content identification from all the lesson plans and tracing the teachers’ beliefs on the teaching and learning of character. From the results it can be concluded that: (1) the physical education teachers in the City of Yogyakarta still have low competence  in integrating character education as realized in the lesson plans; (2) the understading of the physical education teachers on character teaching and learning is still relatively superficial with unsystematic thinking pattern; and (3) the practice of character teaching and learning by the physical education teachers of SMP in the City of Yogyakarta tends to be passive internalization.  Keywords: teachers, physical education, teaching and learning, character

Abstract

Abstrak: Perilaku mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan menentukan hasil belajar mereka. Mahasiswa PJKR memiliki masalah perilaku yang berkaitan dengan sikap respek dan kreativitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperbaiki proses pembelajaran aktivitas ritmik dan meningkatkan sikap respek dan kreativitas  mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Game Tournament (TGT). Metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus yang masing-masing siklus terdiri atas enam kali tatap muka. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah  kuesioner,  pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses perkuliahan menjadi lebih tertib, mahasiswa meningkat sikap respek dan kreativitasnya yang ditunjukkan pada turnamen aktivitas ritmik. Semua mahasiswa terlibat dalam turnamen baik sebagai panitia, juri, peserta turnamen, maupun penggembira. Semua menunjukkan peningkatan yang sangat signifikan.   Kata Kunci: TGT, aktivitas ritmik, respek, kreativitas COOPERATIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF TEAM GAME TOURNAMENT TYPE IN THE RYTHMIC ACTIVITY CLASS TO DEVELOP STUDENTS’ ATTITUDES OF RESPECT AND CREATIVITY Abstract: The behavior of the students in the teaching and learning process determine their learning outcomes. Class D PJKR students had behavioral problems associated with respect and creativity. This study aimed to improve the learning process the rhythmic activity class and improve students’ respect and creativity through cooperative learning of TGT type. The method used was action research implemented in two cycles, each cycle consisting of six face-to- face sessions. The instruments used to collect  data were questionnaires, interview guides, observation sheets, and documentation. The results showed that the lecture have become more orderly, improved the students’ attitudes of respect and createvity as shown in the rhythmic activity tournament. All the students were involved in the tournament  either as a committee, jury, tournament participants, or cheerleaders. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter pada pembelajaran bahasa di PG-TPA Alam Uswatun Khasanah Sleman, Yogyakarta. Penelitian menggunakan  desain studi kasus menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi  peran  serta, sedangkan fokus studi pada sekolah, yakni play group. Data yang diperoleh berupa catatan lapangan dan draf wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi pendidikan karakter pada pembelajaran bahasa pada anak usia 2-5 tahun dilaksanakan secara terintegrasi dan berjenjang sesuai usia anak. Pembelajaran bahasa secara terintegrasi, yaitu menyimak, berbicara, dan  membaca. Pendidikan karakter yang diinginkan adalah membangun kemandirian anak, peka terhadap lingkungan, cinta budaya, dan pembelajaran yang kontekstual. Pembelajaran ditekankan pada pembelajaran yang kontekstual. Anak diajak terlibat langsung dalam tema-tema pembelajaran. Pelibatan anak secara langsung menjadi cara untuk menanamkan pendidikan karakter. Pada diri anak ditunjukkan bagaimana mensyukuri nikmat Tuhan dengan mengenal alam sekitar, menghargai orang lain, menyayangi sesama, perhatian, berani, disiplin, patuh, tanggung jawab, dan sopan.   Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter, pembelajaran bahasa THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN LANGUAGE TEACHING AND LEARNING IN PG-TPA ALAM USWATUN KHASANAH SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA Abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of character education in language teaching and learning in PG - TPA Natural Uswatun Khasanah Sleman, Yogyakarta. This study used a case study research design with a qualitative approach. The data were collected through observation of participation or involvement, while the school focus of this study was the play group. The data obtained included field notes and interview drafts. The results indicate the implementation of character education in language teaching and learning in the PG-TPA Uswatun Khasanah at age 2-5 years was carried out in an integrated and graded mode, based on children’s age. The integrated language teaching and learning included listening, speaking, and reading. The character education was intended to develop the child's autonomy, environmental sensitivity, cultural love and contextual learning. The PG-TPA Uswatun Khasanah teaching and learning emphasized contextual learning. Children were involved directly in the learning themes. Involving children directly became a means of implanting character education. Children were shown how to be grateful God’s mercy by learning about nature, respecting, loving, and caring for others, being brave, disciplined, obedient, responsible, and courteous. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar minat belajar anak dan bagaimana karakter anak dalam model pendidikan home schooling. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei yang dilakukan pada anak-anak yang melaksanakan pendidikan nonformal. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak-anak yang mengikuti model pendidikan  home schooling yang tersebar di Jabodetabek (Jakarta,  Bogor, Depok, Tanggerang, dan Bekasi) sejumlah 45 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara dan kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis induktif. Berdasarkan  hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui secara deskriptif bahwa mayoritas anak memiliki  karakter yang tidak terlalu tinggi atau rendah dengan persentase hasil indikator instrumen masih dalam tata-rata di bawah tujuh puluh persen (70%). Secara deskriptif mayoritas anak memiliki minat belajar yang tidak terlalu tinggi atau minat belajar rendah dengan persentase hasil indikator instrumen masih dalam rata-rata di bawah enam puluh lima persen (65%).    Kata Kunci: minat belajar dan karakter anak CHILDREN’S LEARNING MOTIVATION AND CHARACTER  IN A HOME SCHOOLING EDUCATION MODEL IN JABODETABEK Abstract: This research study aimed to describe the extent of the children’s motivation and how their  character was like in a home schooling education model. This was a survey study involving 45 children joining nonformal education spread all over Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi).  The data were collected by using interviews and questionnaires. An inductive analysis technique  was employed in this study. Based on the results of the analysis, the study concluded that the majority of the children’s score of their character was considered not high yet, as shown by the ave- rage instrument indicator-based score below 70%. Descriptively the majority of the children’s learning motivation was even lower, with the average instrument indicator-based score below 65%.   Keywords: learning motivation, character

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah Komunikasi Interpersonal dapat meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap nilai-nilai  karakter mulia yang mencakup sopan-santun, keterbukaan, empati, dan kesetaraan. Subjek penelitian  adalah mahasiswa semester VI Prodi Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran yang mengambil mata kuliah Komunikasi Interpersonal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini berlangsung dalam dua siklus. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi: perencanaan, implementasi, monitoring,  dan refleksi. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui: (1) observasi; (2) dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan dokumen hasil pekerjaan atau tugas mahasiswa; dan (3) kuesioner untuk mahasiswa. Analisis  data dalam penelitian ini berupa refleksi terhadap data yang telah diperoleh, baik secara kualitatif maupun  kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam mata kuliah tersebut, pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap nilai-nilai karakter mulia mengalami peningkatan. Implementasi tindakan dapat dikatakan berhasil karena telah terjadi perubahan dan peningkatan dalam pemahaman terhadap nilai karakter mulia yang mencakup sopan-santun, keterbukaan, empati, dan kesetaraan. Kata Kunci: integrasi, pendidikan karakter, komunikasi interpersonal THE INTEGRATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION CLASS Abstract: This research aims at finding out whether integrating character education in the teaching and learning of Interpersonal Communication class can promote the understanding of noble character values which include politeness, openness, empathy, and equality. The subjects of the research were Semester VI students of  Office of Administration Education Study Program taking  the Interpersonal Communication class. This is an action research study lasting within two cycles. The research steps include planning, implementation, monitoring, and reflection. The data were obtained through (1) observation, (2) documentation – collecting documents pertaining to the students’ works and tasks, and  (3) quesionnaire for the students. The data analysis in this study took the form of reflection on the qualitative  and quantative data obtained. The result of the study shows that, through the integration of character education in the Interpersonal Communication class, the students’ understanding of the noble character values improved. The implementation of the action is considered successful because there have been changes and improvement in the students’ understanding of the noble character values which include politeness, openness, empathy, and equality.   Keywords: integration, character education, interpersonal communication

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan model Borg  dan  Gall dikombinasikan dengan  pengajaran bahasa dari Jolly Balito dan Richards. Secara garis besar penyusunan bahan ajar terdiri dari empat langkah, yakni: (1) identifikasi kebutuhan; (2) pengembangan silabus; (3) produksi bahan ajar; dan (4) evaluasi bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerita rakyat Bengkulu masih ada yang belum dibukukan dan  tersebar di wilayah provinsi Bengkulu. Dari  analisis karakter ditemukan karakter baik lebih dominan, misalnya: religius, pekerja keras,  demokratis, toleransi, hormat, peduli, cinta damai, dan bertanggung jawab. Karakter buruk contohnya: pemalas, licik, kikir, dan kejam. Mata pelajaran muatan lokal yang diajarkan adalah bahasa Inggris,  bahasa Rejang, lagu daerah, keterampilan anyaman, dan pertanian. Pemanfaatan cerita rakyat dalam bahan ajar adalah muatan lokal bahasa Rejang yang dituliskan ke bahasa daerah (ka, ga, nga). Akan tetapi, pemanfaatan tersebut belum sampai pada tahap analisis karakter tokoh cerita. Dengan demikian, cerita rakyat belum dimanfaatkan dalam bahan ajar muatan lokal secara optimal.     Kata Kunci: bahan ajar, muatan lokal, cerita rakyat, dan karakter MODEL DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL SUBJECT CONTENT BASED ON LOCAL WISDOM TO IMPROVE CHARACTERS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL IN THE PROVINCE BENGKULU Abstract: This study aims to produce a model of instructional materials Local Content subjects, based on local wisdom in the province of Bengkulu. This research is the development, models of Borg and Gall combined with the teaching of the language of Jolly Balito and Richards. Broadly speaking, the preparation of teaching materials consists of four steps: (1) identification of needs; (2) the development of the syllabus; (3) production of teaching materials; and (4) evaluation of instructional materials. The results showed that, some folklore Bengkulu is not yet recorded, and spread in the province of Bengkulu. From the analysis of character, good character is more dominant discovered, for example: religious, hardworking, democracy, tolerance, respect, caring, peace-loving and responsible. Bad character for example:  lazy,  sly, greedy, and cruel. Local Content subjects taught are English, Rejang, folk songs, woven skills, and agriculture. Utilization of folklore in teaching materials with Local Content Rejang language that write to the local language (ka, ga, nga). However, the utilization has not reached the stage of analysis of  the character of the story. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengembangan model pendidikan karakter berdasarkan sifat fitrah manusia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (RD). Adapun subjek  atau responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika, Pendidikan  Matematika, dan Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Muhammadiyah  Purworejo. Fokus penelitian adalah efektivitas penggunaan model pendidikan karakter. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah validasi ahli, angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Analisis data dilakukan ddngan teknik analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pendidikan karakter yang berdasarkan sifat fitrah manusia dapat diterima oleh oleh dosen dan mahasiswa, hal ini dapat dilihat dari tanggapan responden, 94% responden manyatakan setuju, 2% responden memutuskan tidak setuju dan 4% mengambil sikap abstain, dengan demikian, model pendidikan karakter yang  berdasarkan sifat fitrah manusia dapat dijadikan model pendidikan di Perguruan Tinggi.   Keywords: pengembangan model, pendidikan karakter, sifat fitrah THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHARACTER EDUCATION MODEL  BASED ON HUMAN’S NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS Abstract: This study aimed at developing character education model based on human’s natural characteristics. This was a research and development (RD) study. The subjects or respondents of the study  were students of Physics, Mathematics, Automotive Engineering Education Study Programs, Faculty of Education Science, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo. The focus of the study was on the  use of character education model. The data collection was conducted through expert judgment, questionnaires,  interviews, and observation. The data were analyzed using an inductive  analysis technique.  The results showed that character education model based on human’s natural characteristics was acceptable to the lecturers and the students. This can be seen from the subjects’ responses: 94% of the respondents stated their agreement, 2% decided to disagree, and 4% were abstain. Hence, the character education model based on human’s natural characteristics can be used as an education model at  the higher education.    Keywords: model development, character education, natural characteristics
