Abstract

This research reviewed the effect of induction voltage resulting of the electromagnetic induction from the thunderbolt attack to the electronic equipment especially if the induction effect to the component has a high sensitivity rate that was IC CMOS component. In this study the experiments done in the laboratory of High Voltage Technique where the impulse voltage as a simulation to the thunderbolt external voltage surge for the Electronic circuit. Experiment I the distance component of the test article to the test point was 5 cm with the impulse voltage of 99.3 kV, induction voltage 158.41 V, Experiment II with the distance of 7.5 cm, the impulse voltage 88.3 kV so the induction voltage 105.62 V IC, in the experiment III the distance of the test article was 10 cm from the test point. The impulse voltage 88.3 kV and the induction voltage was 79.2 V, In the experiment IV the component distance was 15 cm. the impulse voltage 88.3 kV and the induction voltage as big as 52.74 V.From each experiment IC make damage, where distance component from each experiment settled more distant so component no make damage. From the measurement and calculation yields then the induction voltage resulted will damage the IC component conformed to the yield presented by Hasse in the table 2.1 where the component CMOS 70-100V. Where the study results proved that the electromagnetic induction from indirect thunderbolt attach can result an interference and damage to the electronic component tested, as the distance between the component and the ball gap to the impulse tension was very influential in determining of damaged mechanism of IC in self.

Abstract

Network Monitoring System is a system which has a function to observe or monitor the computer network system is running. Network monitoring system can be implemented in real time in a computer network.Development of network monitoring system using the local  ip and web-based applications, where the construction of this network monitoring system using CentOS 6.4 operating system as the server.Nagios is a network monitoring application based on open source that can be used according to user needs. To maximize the use of Nagios can use email and SMS as alerts.

Abstract

Fiber from oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB) can be used as a raw material for the production of composite board.  Gambier can be used in a natural adhesive because of its high tannin content.  Appropriate material to veneer the board and the correct temperature and pressing time are needed to improve the quality of this composite board. This research was to discover the optimal temperature, needed to make woven bamboo veneer composite board from OPEFB fiber and  gambier based adhesive that can fulfill the Indonesian National Standards for veneered composite boards and the pressing time required for the board to reach thermal equilibrium. Results showed that both temperature and pressing time have a significant influence on density, moisture content, thickness swelling and modulus of rupture (MOR) of the boards but not on the internal bond strength or the compression strength parallel to the grain.  Multi-layered composite board pressed at 1300C has weaker physical and mechanical properties than that pressed at  1450C, or 1600C.  Twenty-five minutes of pressing time yielded a better product than 15 minutes and the combination of 25 minutes and 1450C proved to be optimal for the curing of the gambier based adhesive used with 8.4% moisture content fibers. Use of woven bamboo veneer resulted in boards that reached the density, moisture content, thickness swelling at 24 hours (PT24) and MOR National standards SNI 03-2105-2006 for standard veneered particle board however it failed to reach the standard for modulus of elasticity (MOE). The bonding strength of the boards reached the Nation Standard SNI 01-5008.7-1999 of 3.5 kg/cm2 minimum for structural veneered boards.

Abstract

The problems that often arise in inpatients, especially those that need special handling such as infusion fluids should be given is often the occurrence of negligence in the infusion bottle examination is good condition of fluids in infusion bottles and the number of droplets per minute that is not appropriate. In addition, the patient will also be disrupted when the nurse should take care of the patient's blood pressure periodically. To overcome these problems need to be made a system that can monitor all of it in real time.This system design process requires a hardware and software that is integrated in such a way that it can be used to monitor the infusion and blood pressure of the patient. The main hardware required is the infrared sensor and the pressure sensor where the sensor will be controlled by the microcontroller device which the results can be sent to the monitoring computer wirelessly.           From the overall testing of the design that has been made, it can generally be applied but there are still shortcomings that occur in measuring instruments, especially blood pressure gauges where the average error occurred in the measurement of systolic pressure of 8.42% and the average error that Occurs in diastolic measurements of 4.90% and on data delivery there is a significant delay spike when given a barrier.

Abstract

The use of oxygen sensors on vehicles intended to reduce the harmful content from vehicle exhaust emissions. Research and journal was prepared to find how much reduction can be achieved. Research conducted by the experimental method. This type of machine used is K3-VE engine Avanza. Measurements are performed using the exhaust emission analyzer Fourgas at some level of engine speed.        From the research proven when using oxygen sensors decrease harmful content of exhaust emissions. The decline in the percentage of the CO content of 1.86% and the average number of HC ppm reduced the total 258.33ppm.

Abstract

Palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) fiber content ± 70 % and can be used for elastic    fiber, matrix, mattresses, rugs and raw material fiber -based composite board products, but until now has not been utilized to the fullest . The problem is not the availability of processing unit generates EFB fiber in small scale . One of them is the processing unit thrasher EFB. EFB counter technology that exists today is a large scale that can only be owned by the oil palm industry with a capacity of ± 4,124 kg/hour. For small-scale fiber industry needs a minimum engine capacity of census enumerators ± 300 kg/hour, but this machine is not yet commercially available.In general, the purpose of this research is small scale EFB cutting machines with a capacity of 200-300 kg/hour, the design parameters and identify optimum operating conditions for each component with the technical test of the prototype. From the results obtained machine design an engine capacity of 300 kg/hour, with a few major components, namely counter unit, unit funnel in and out, frame and drive unit . From the results of design calculations obtained engine power 15 hp motor drive with 1450 RPM rotation with 3 phase. From the results of the testing machine in the first enumeration results obtained by the size of the pieces of shredded EFB ± 7 x 7 ( cm ), while the second enumeration stage shredded EFB size becoming smaller ± 3 x 3 ( cm ).

Abstract

Wind energy sources in coastal areas of Indonesia are generally one of the potential renewable energy sources (renewable energy resources) that are abundant, environmentally friendly and renewable. Savonius wind turbines can produce relatively high torque even at low wind speeds. Because it is very well developed to produce electrical energy. To get a large amount of electrical power, a large turbine construction is also needed which also requires a large amount of money, of course. For this reason, the dimensions of this wind turbine construction need to be developed, known as aspect ratio (Ar). Ar which has been studied is the cross section of the blade, as well as other values. Whereas the arch depth or blade length of type U is still likely to be studied. Therefore it is necessary to do research on type U blade arcs to get more power than before. Experimental method by making a prototype savonius type U wind turbine with 2 blades. The parameters varied only in terms of the ratio of arc length and blade cross section, other parameters followed the previous study. The expected experimental results get the aspect ratio (Ar) of the best blade in capturing wind energy and producing large electrical power.

Abstract

In a feasibility study of the structure after the fire ( Case Study Building of Pasar Koppas in  Padang ) . To obtain preliminary data, building data includes tracking information about the building construction has been done. Then visual inspection includes examination of the structural system of the building and non-structural components, as well as the configuration of the geometry component of the structure. Measurement of the building is intended to determine the configuration of the building . It can also serve as a confirmation of the existing building geometric conditions . Later examination of the damage structure and non- structural components by visual observation . Field trials conducted to obtain the data quality of the material structure of the building, with a non destruxctive and destructive . This activity is a test of the quality of the concrete surface with a hammer concrete test, concrete homogeneity measurement, measurement of the diameter and spacing of reinforcement, concrete cored drill with the core drill tools, observations reinforcement fatigue . While in the laboratory to test the compressive strength of the concrete core and reinforcement tensile test. Taking photographs of the condition of the buildings, structural components and non-structural components for further examination to determine the location of the damage, as well as a guide to determine damage level of the building, in addition to the photographs can serve as documentation . Then the data evaluation and analysis of the structure of the building . From the results of the evaluation and analysis of the feasibility of building structures from Pasar Koppas could be concluded, that the structure and function of the building is still viable . For the convenience of occupancy necessary to repair or retrofitting the proper manner and method by the Government of Padang City.
