Abstract

The sliding door is a type of door that works by sliding the door to the right or to the left. The sliding door is a type of door that is suitable for use in a room with small volume, because the sliding door does not require a large space. lack the sliding door when the door has been closed, lack the sliding door when the door has been closed, there still exists a gap between the open doors and walls so that air can be in and out freely. with the construction of the door using the hinge mechanism, can minimize these conditions. To make the sliding door works automatically, the authors make a set of control system that uses an analog system and the concept of open-loop control system. “dc motor” is used as drive for the door and “central lock actuator” as locking doors. On the control circuit voltage source used is equal to 12V. Control circuit components used are double circuit push button (NO and NC), 12V relay 8 feet, limits switches, motor DC of power windows, central lock actuator. The components were assembled for the purpose of changing the polarity of the DC motor is regulated by a relay mechanism. By changing the polarity of the dc motor, the motor can rotate to the left and to the right, so the door is connected to the motor would be moves to open and close according to the motor movement.

Abstract

Motorcycles with injection system uses engine scanner tool as a reference for a mechanic when performing a tune-up to find out and get the engine firing conditions were perfect. Unlike the motorcycle carburetor system, relying only on the experience of a mechanic. If using tools, usually using exhaust emission analyzer which only serves to measure the levels of elements and compounds and exhaust emissions and it can not be used to identify the condition of the combustion engine. Besides, not all the workshops have it, just a certain manufacturer authorized workshops, garages and a large scale or related government agencies that have it. There are two categories of combustion engine, the first engine combustion conditions are not perfect and complete combustion conditions. Perfect engine combustion conditions is needed so that maximum engine performance with an efficient use of fuel. This study aims to make a device that is capable of detecting the condition of combustion 4-stroke motorcycle carburetor system using the method of sum square error (SSE) through the value of the data patterns of exhaust emissions based gas sensors. The study, of the five categories of motorcycles with the manufacturer, type and year of manufacture of different shows that, the system made capable of identifying categories of combustion engine based on the SSE on the identification and reference set. The success rate of identification detection system performs the complete combustion of 89.33% and 97.99% of incomplete combustion.

Abstract

Tobacco is one of the six most important commodities in Indonesia. This sector is the most strategic that can absorb millions of workers, ranging from tobacco farmers, laborers or workers to tobacco companies. One of the stages in tobacco processing is the drying process. Drying using sunlight is often distracted by erratic weather changes such as rain, this can cause the drying process to be slow and require very long drying time. Based on the above, a tobacco dryer was developed by implementing the fuzzy logic controller (FLC) method as the temperature controller and its moisture meter. This tool uses LM35DZ type temperature sensors and Soil Moisture YL-69 type moisture sensors. In addition, this artificial drying process also uses heating elements instead of heat from sunlight. Programming tool is made using Arduino uno microcontroller. When compared to conventional drying, the drying results using the tool will be superior in terms of time efficiency, human power and product quality.

Abstract

The creation of an intelligent biogas reactor made from rice straw is a long-term goal of this research. Biogas reactor is a breeding ground for methanogenesis bacteria in the process of methane gas formation (biogas) which can be used as fuel. The proliferation of these methanogenesis bacteria depends on the temperature, degree of acidity, humidity and volume of raw materials contained in the biogas reactor, if these parameters are out of threshold then the result of methane gas will be reduced or even the methanogenesis bacteria will die will lead to cessation of methane gas production. Increase the biogas gas pressure to be used as fuel of the test object in this case the petromak lamp.

Abstract

Waste plastic mounting, but can be recycled into other products in the form of granules before further processed into pellets and seed injection molding process produces products such as buckets, plates, bottles and other beverages. To be processed into the required form of granules of plastic thrasher. Though so small plastic recycling industry is still constrained in plastic enumeration process because the machine used was not optimal ability. The purpose of this research is the development of the system thrasher plastic crusher and cutter cylinder-type reel and technical evaluation. This study was conducted over two years, the first year the design and manufacture of machinery, the second year is a technical evaluation of the engine, engine performance improvements and economic analysis of granular plastic products.From the results obtained engine design capacity of the machine ± 350 kg / h, the engine size is 50 cm x 120 cm x 30 cm, power motor of 10 HP at 1450 RPM rotation with 3 phase. Some of the major components of the engine that is, counter crusher unit consists of two counter rotating cylinders opposite, counter shaft size Ø 4 cm x 58 cm, blade chopper Ø 17 cm x 2 cm with the number of teeth / blades 7 pieces and the number of blades along shaft 7 pieces, buses retaining Ø 10 cm x 2 cm. Counter-cylinder unit consists of a reel-type cutter counter shaft size Ø 4 cm x 90 cm, the middle shaft mounted cylinder with Ø 17 cm x 40 cm as the holder of the chopper blades. Chopper blade consists of 4 pieces with a size of 40 cm x 2 cm x 4 cm with ASSAB materials. Furthermore, as the blade retaining bedknife shear force of the blade chopper, upper frame, lower frame, strainer, funnel entry, exit funnel, and the drive unit consists of an electric motor, reducer, belts, pulleys and 2 pieces of gear transmission. The results of performance testing machine crusher round cylinder 75 RPM and 1450 RPM reel-type cutting machine capacity ± 300 kg / h on the filter hole Ø 1.5 cm, with a 80% grain uniformity.

Abstract

Flood has been an endless disaster for human being all over the world since the past, nowadays and in future. Water flood may be affected by nature or human activities or even by both nature and human. Almost all region in Indonesia facing the flood problem with various scale and time.Jondul Rawang one place located in south side of Padang city for example is always suffer with water flood. This study is an analysis of flood for Jondul Rawang, using EPA SWMM 5.1 software with simulation method. The simulation result will show location of points on drainage system which start to offer flowincluding the time and duration. Calculation is made based on collected data, hydrology and hydraulyc analysis.The data should cover primary and secondary drainage system then come out with design flood and hydraulyc analysis to check the capacity of drainage.Calculation of rainfall for repeat period using probability method Chi-Kuadratand Smirnov-Kolmogorof will obtain Log Normal Method for rainfall 251,62 mm. To calculate water debit inside drainage for 5 years period flood exist channel 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 8-9 with respective overflow 4,5 m3/sec, 6,53 m3/sec, 6,36 m3/sec, and 6,50 m3/sec. While capacity of respective existing drainage are lower such as: 4,47 m3/sec, 5,48 m3/sec, 2,96 m3/sec, and 1,82 m3/sec. Solution to be taken place to resolve the flood problem for Jondul Rawang are Enlarge the drainage size, build retention pond and build infiltration pond.

Abstract

In this paper, it will be studied stability for a SEIR epidemic model with infectious force in latent, infected and immune period with standard incidence. From the model it will be found investigated the existence and uniqueness solution  of points its equilibrium. Existence solution of points equilibrium proved by show its differential equations system of equilibrium continue, and uniqueness solution of points equilibrium proved by show its differential equation system of equilibrium differentiable continue.

Abstract

Majarity of damages on the dam construction in Indonesia is caused by continuous local scouring at the end side of the dam construction. It grows and reach its lower/bottorm part. It could results in degradation in the dam operation safety. This local scouring was caused by major water flowing passing the dam where there is a high difference level between the top and the end of the dam. Furthermore, it generates inbalancing water flow speed and additional water turbulence. There are different approachs to prevent such damage, and for example by providing one or more additional construction at the end part of the dam. This structure is designed and installed at the bottom part of the dam. Various empirical functions have been developed to design this structure, and one of them is developed by Lacey. The function is reprsented by D = 0.47 * (Q/F)1/2 (D= scouring depth, Q= Discharge, F= the size of the sand particle). However, that function has some limitation. For examples are the local river and dam construction characteristics. Therefore, it is required to be validated by developing a model of dam contructed in a laboratory. Abstract

Dutch electronics company, Philips, is testing LiFi technology. LiFi or Light Fidelity is able to deliver broadband internet connections through light intermediaries. According to Philips Lightning Olivia Qiu's Chief Innovation Officer, LiFi technology has great potential for today's digital era. Indeed, if you look at the current world trend, internet connection has now become one of the daily needs of humans just like the lighting needs produced by Philips massively. When radio frequency becomes increasingly dense, the light spectrum is a large untapped resource [kompas, 2018]. Based on the facts stated that communication using optical fiber becomes very important so that to optimize the fiber optic system an implementation of optical fiber attenuation measurements is made. In this study, the method of implementing the measurement of optical fiber attenuation at a wavelength of 875 nm was introduced. This optical fiber attenuation measurement utilizes transmitter and receiver optical fiber systems that are connected to optical fibers with different lengths and curves. Attenuation for the length of 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 meter optical fibers is 0.034, 0.558, 0.625, 1.156 and 2.170 dB respectively in straight optical fiber conditions. The power values for each optical fiber with lengths 1, 3,4,5 and 6m respectively are 52.21, 51.58, 50.81, 45.08 and 30.05 dB when there are curves. The attenuation values of each 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 m optical fiber lengths are - 0.746, - 0.8, - 0.864, - 1,384 and - 3,145 dB respectively when there is a curve.
