Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Sistem Informasi (JIKSI) is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to publishing multidisciplinary issues in computer science, information systems, and technology innovation both in Indonesia and around the world. JIKSI is a triannual, open access, peer-reviewed, and international e-journal, published in Indonesia. Abstract

The management of students, teachers, and learning activities at SD Negeri 1 Sidomakmur has been partially computerized. However, the school continues to rely on basic applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel for administrative tasks. Considering the rapid advancement of digital technology, it is essential for SD Negeri 1 Sidomakmur to implement a specialized web-based information system to support administrative and academic operations more efficiently. The proposed system enables seamless data processing and integration across all school activities, thereby facilitating faster and more accurate management of teaching and learning processes. This study aims to develop a web-based academic information system utilizing the Web Engineering method, the PHP programming language, and the MySQL database. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance the effectiveness, accuracy, and reliability of the school’s administrative and academic management.

Abstract

Information technology is one of the most widely utilized and continually improved tools in both private and public institutions. The Ogan Ilir District Health Office has adopted this technology through its official website, which functions as an information platform to communicate organizational performance, publish health-related data, and serve as an information resource for users. However, several weaknesses remain, including the absence of login or registration features (which prevents user interaction), the lack of a search function, outdated gallery content, and a non-responsive, less appealing interface. This study aims to analyze the quality of the Ogan Ilir District Health Office website using the WebQual 4.0 method, which evaluates usability, information quality, and service interaction quality based on user perceptions. The study adopts a quantitative approach to identify the extent to which these dimensions influence user satisfaction.

Abstract

The ease of data transmission through various digital media poses significant risks to copyright and privacy, often leading to falsification, duplication, fraud, and media piracy. One approach to address this issue is through steganography, a technique for embedding hidden messages within digital documents such as images. A specific application of steganography is Digital Watermarking, which conceals ownership information within digital media. This study employs the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) method to implement watermarking on digital images. DWT divides data into multiple frequency segments that can be independently processed and recombined to form a watermarked image. By embedding a watermark into the image, the proposed method effectively protects against unauthorized use and reproduction.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has transformed the role of transportation management from a supporting operational function into a strategic component that enhances efficiency and effectiveness in logistics operations. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a web-based transportation management system at PT Pos Logistik Indonesia and to evaluate the system’s impact on operational performance and organizational competitiveness. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation review. The results indicate that the implementation of the system improves fleet management efficiency by optimizing maintenance schedules, reducing operational costs, increasing asset control accuracy, and improving occupational safety. Moreover, the integration of digital technology facilitates faster and more accurate decision-making through real-time data visibility. Despite these advantages, several challenges remain, including dependency on Excel-based systems and limited automation. Overall, the study concludes that digital transformation in transportation management plays a strategic role in supporting operational excellence and long-term competitiveness at PT Pos Logistik Indonesia.

Abstract

Advances in information technology have transformed the way micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) market their products and reach consumers. One effective strategy for competing in the digital era is the utilization of social media, particularly Instagram. This study aims to analyze the digital marketing strategies implemented by MSMEs on Instagram and evaluate their impact on enhancing brand awareness and product sales. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through literature reviews and observations of the digital marketing activities of several local MSMEs in Palembang. The results showed that digital marketing strategies emphasizing creative content, customer interaction, and the use of Instagram features such as stories, reels, and influencer marketing enhanced brand visibility and strengthened relationships with consumers. This study confirms that the optimal use of social media can serve as an effective strategy for MSMEs to adapt and thrive within the competitive digital economy ecosystem.

Abstract

The use of information technology has become a crucial component in hospital management to enhance operational effectiveness and service quality. However, at YK Madira Hospital Palembang, the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) currently serves only as a data entry and reporting tool, with data typically exported in Excel format, making it difficult for management to analyze information efficiently. This study aims to develop and implement a Business Intelligence (BI) system using Microsoft Power BI to evaluate hospital performance based on the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) established by the Ministry of Health (Kementerian Kesehatan) of the Republic of Indonesia. The SPM indicators analyzed include Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR), Average Length of Stay (ALOS), Bed Turn Over (BTO), Turn Over Interval (TOI), Net Death Rate (NDR), and Gross Death Rate (GDR). The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach, supported by data from 2017–2020 obtained from the hospital’s SIMRS. The system was designed through a data warehouse model and visualized using Power BI dashboards. The results demonstrate that the BI system enables dynamic visualization and analysis of hospital performance data, facilitating faster and more accurate decision-making. The study concludes that implementing BI significantly enhances the effectiveness of performance monitoring and compliance with the Ministry of Health’s service standards.

Abstract

Online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has required the teaching and learning process to be conducted without face-to-face interaction. This condition has increased the demand for digital teaching materials that can effectively support students’ understanding, particularly in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) subjects. SMP Patra Mandiri 2 Palembang is equipped with a computer laboratory and internet facilities; however, these facilities have not been optimally utilized because teachers still rely on manual guidebooks for practical learning activities. This study aimed to design ICT teaching materials based on the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in the form of a website to support online learning. The system development employed the Extreme Programming (XP) method, which consists of the stages of planning, design, coding, and testing. The results of the study produced a CTL-based ICT teaching materials system that provides features for uploading learning materials, assignments, quizzes, question-and-answer interactions, and assessments that are accessible to both teachers and students. The system is expected to enhance the effectiveness of online learning and to promote active student engagement in understanding learning materials through a contextual approach.

Abstract

Technological developments have had a significant impact on human life, including the learning process. The modern digital era has produced a wide range of devices that have indirectly reduced public interest in reading, including reading the Holy Qur’an. The COVID-19 pandemic further exacerbated this condition because religious learning activities that were previously conducted in places of worship were forced to shift to online learning. The Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia) has provided a digital Qur’an application; however, it does not yet include a fast and accurate interpretation search feature. This study aimed to develop an Android-based Qur’an interpretation application by implementing a Boolean Information Retrieval (IR) model as the method for searching the interpretation index. The application was developed using the Dart programming language and the Flutter framework, with reference to Tafsir Ibn Kathir. The results indicate that the implementation of the Boolean IR model improved the effectiveness of interpretation searches and generated relevant results in accordance with user needs.

Abstract

The Bajolbae application was developed to facilitate small traders and the general public in fulfilling their basic food needs online without requiring face-to-face interaction. The primary issue identified is the absence of a comprehensive analysis of user characteristics, including the level of application utilization based on demographic factors. This study aims to analyze user patterns of the Bajolbae application through data visualization using Tableau based on age, gender, and residential district. The research data were obtained from Pasar DHD (Darsa Hakam Darussalam) as the manager of the Bajolbae application and were processed using Tableau visualization techniques to produce informative graphical representations. The results indicate that adults constitute the dominant age group of users, women represent the largest group of users, and Sako District has the highest number of users. These findings are expected to assist the company in formulating strategies to increase the number of users and to support the development of application features.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the software quality of the Cyberlearning Application at SMAN 1 Air Saleh. Following a comprehensive literature review, data were collected through questionnaires developed based on the McCall Method as a software quality assessment framework. The completed questionnaires were tested for validity and reliability to ensure that the variables and indicators were both valid and reliable. The respondents consisted of 82 students, comprising 18 students from Grade X, 15 students from Grade XI Science, 15 students from Grade XI Social Science, 19 students from Grade XII Science, and 15 students from Grade XII Social Science. The respondent profile included 41 male and 41 female students, with an age distribution of 16 respondents aged 15 years, 16 respondents aged 16 years, 31 respondents aged 17 years, 17 respondents aged 18 years, and 2 respondents aged 19 years. The validated variables and indicators were subsequently used to calculate the quality value (Fa) for each factor through a weighting process conducted by experts using a scale ranging from 0.1 to 0.5 for the factors of Correctness, Reliability, Efficiency, Integrity, and Usability. The McCall Method calculation results indicate that the Cyberlearning Application achieved quality scores of 63% for Correctness, 60.40% for Reliability, 78.20% for Efficiency, 78.40% for Integrity, and 70% for Usability. Based on these results, the Cyberlearning Application at SMAN 1 Air Saleh is classified as a high-quality application.
