Abstract

One of the objectives of Islamic education is the total commitment to character building based on the ideals of Islamic ethics. It is the highest goal of Islamic education. Once a character is lost, it would be difficult to redevelop it. Education is not limited to training the mind only and pouring information into it, but it involves all aspects of human life such as religious, moral, intellectual and physical personality of the learner. Islam is a religion that emphasizes the purity of civilized human life. Purification is part of the faith that works to produce individuals who abide by Islamic law. The problem of drug abuse has been viewed seriously in recent years around the world. Therefore, prevention is very important to prove that Islam can solve various social problems. Drug addiction is a substance harmful to a person’s physical, spiritual (mental and emotional), and behavior when used. As a result of this effect, a person who uses drugs will become dependent on the drug and become addicted. In other words, drugs carry a very high risk that can be fatal. However, the dangers of drugs that are contagious in society today are given serious attention by Islam. This study discusses the causes of addiction among the young people in Katsina state and how to address the treatment of drug issues with a view to a religious perspective as an alternative that can enhance the spiritual heir to young. Thus, the Quran and Hadith of the Prophet SAW, as the primary references in Islam, have a vital role in resolving the problem of Muslims related to drugs.

Abstract

This paper examines the role of adequate funding as a solution to accreditation challenges faced by tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Utilizing secondary data sourced from online and print publications, the study investigates how financial resources impact the accreditation process. The findings reveal that sufficient funding is crucial for the effective implementation of accreditation programs. Specifically, adequate financial support facilitates the preparation for accreditation, aids in the procurement of instructional resources, enables the employment of qualified staff, and ensures the provision of essential infrastructure facilities. The paper underscores that without sufficient funding; tertiary institutions struggle to meet accreditation standards, which in turn affect their educational quality and overall performance. Based on these insights, the paper recommends that the Nigerian government enhance its financial support for tertiary institutions. This increased funding will not only help institutions meet regulatory requirements but also strengthen their capacity to deliver high-quality education, thus contributing to national development and global competitiveness

Education is the main foundation in shaping a thriving and sustainable society. The quality of instruction provided by teachers is a key factor in achieving optimal educational goals. This article explores the concept of social engagement in the context of teacher development with a focus on the utilization of performance appraisal as a strategy for determining training. Through a sociology of education perspective, this research aims to explore the complex relationship between social factors, interactions within the educational environment and the improvement of teacher professionalism. By integrating these concepts, this article details how teacher performance appraisals can be an effective foundation in establishing relevant training programs that positively impact their professional development. The method used in this study is Literature Review by reviewing three literatures related to research inclusion. Article searches were conducted through lens.org and google scholar. From the results of the study, it was found that the utilization of teacher performance appraisals was only utilized on the needs for payroll and promotion, not yet to the stage of determining the most needed training for teachers related to the results of performance appraisals. further evaluation of power dynamics, social interactions, and teacher participation in the performance appraisal process and determination of training is needed. This is important to achieve a more holistic and contextual approach to human resource management in education.

Abstract

Rapid developments in technology and the need for environmental sustainability have driven significant innovation in animal husbandry. This research examines the latest innovations in the livestock sector that integrate the latest technology and sustainability principles. The main focus of this research is on three main aspects: information and communication technology (ICT) in livestock management, environmentally friendly livestock rearing techniques, and efficient resource management strategies. First, the application of ICT, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and data analytics, enables real-time monitoring and management of livestock health and productivity. This system reduces the need for manual labor and increases accuracy in decision making. Second, innovations in livestock rearing techniques include the use of organic waste-based feed and waste management systems that reduce environmental impacts and increase the efficiency of resource use. Third, the sustainability approach includes land and water management methods that reduce erosion and pollution, as well as the integration of sustainable agriculture in livestock practices. This research uses qualitative analysis methods with case studies and secondary data from the latest literature to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of this innovation. The results show that the integration of technology and sustainability principles not only increases productivity and efficiency, but also contributes to reducing negative impacts on the environment. These findings provide valuable insights for the development of livestock education curricula and industrial policies that support more innovative and environmentally friendly livestock practices.

Abstract

This study investigates inclusive pedagogies and practices in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) within higher education (HE), addressing a critical gap in existing literature. Funded by BALEAP, the research employs a qualitative sequential exploratory design, incorporating nominal group technique and focus group discussions to capture diverse stakeholder perspectives. The study identifies key themes across micro, meso, and macro levels, providing comprehensive insights into best practices for fostering inclusive EAP teaching. At the micro level, recommendations include redefining needs analysis, implementing differentiated assignment briefs, challenging linguistic and cultural stereotypes, and promoting reflexivity among educators. Meso-level strategies emphasise decolonising the curriculum, integrating EAP into disciplinary courses, enhancing collaboration between EAP and subject-specialist tutors, and investing in continuous professional development. At the macro level, the study highlights the necessity of providing additional resources, fostering top-down collaborations, and introducing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives. The findings underscore the importance of coordinated efforts among educators, institutions, and policymakers to advance inclusive teaching practices in EAP. This research contributes significantly to the discourse on inclusive education by offering actionable recommendations for enhancing the inclusivity of EAP programs in HE, ultimately aiming to create a more equitable and supportive learning environment for diverse student populations. The study's robust methodological approach and diverse participant representation ensure the reliability and relevance of its conclusions, paving the way for future research and policy development in this crucial area of higher education.

Abstract

General Background: Phonetic analysis plays a crucial role in understanding the effectiveness of prose in communication, particularly in how it uses sound to enhance expression and achieve intended effects. This study focuses on the phonetic features in the Musnad of Imam Hassan Al-Askari (peace be upon him), examining how vocal phenomena contribute to the harmony and expressiveness of his texts. Specific Background: The Musnad is analyzed for its use of assimilation, substitution, and phonetic similarity, revealing how these features optimize pronunciation and influence. Assimilation is observed in the integration of homophones and closely related sounds, while substitution involves replacing phonetic elements to ease articulation. Phonetic similarity encompasses adjustments to maintain vocal harmony and fluidity. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have not extensively analyzed the application of these phonetic phenomena in historical religious texts or their impact on the communicative effectiveness and aesthetic qualities of the text. Aims: This research aims to elucidate the role of phonetic phenomena in Imam Al-Askari's Musnad, highlighting how these elements facilitate communication and enhance the text’s persuasive power. Results: The analysis demonstrates that assimilation and substitution reduce muscular effort and achieve phonetic ease, while phonetic similarity ensures smooth and harmonious pronunciation. The Musnad reflects a sophisticated use of these phenomena to balance clarity and expressiveness, contributing to its effectiveness in conveying messages. Novelty: This study provides a novel perspective on the phonetic techniques used in historical Islamic texts, offering insights into their strategic application for enhancing linguistic performance. Implications: Understanding these phonetic strategies enriches the interpretation of classical texts and informs contemporary linguistic and literary analysis, emphasizing the enduring relevance of phonetic considerations in effective communication.
