Abstract

Abstract

Patient safety is the right of every patient who receives health services in hospitals and is an indicator of improving the quality of services throughout the world. Patient safety includes all efforts made to prevent or minimize risks that could harm patients during the care, diagnosis or treatment process. The aim of this research is to analyze the direct and indirect influence of Motivation and Coaching on the Implementation of Patient Safety mediated by Responsive Culture. This research was conducted at the Hospital X. The research period is March 2024 – February 2025. This research approach uses a quantitative approach, with descriptive analysis methods that explain the relationship between variables. Using the Three Box Method, while analytics uses SEMPLS. The sampling technique used is Total Sampling. With a total of 162 nurses. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that all Motivation dimensions are in the high category with an average index above 280. The Coaching variable for all dimensions is in the medium category with an average index ranging from 273 to 286. The Responsive Culture variable is in the medium category with an average index ranging from 273.46 to 284.57. The patient safety implementation variable for all dimensions is in the medium category with an index ranging from 277.16 to 284.57. The results of this research have implications for hospitals because implementing patient safety can improve the quality of service in hospitals. Responsive Culture is a culture that encourages nurses and other medical staff to be more sensitive to patient needs and responsive to safety issues. Good coaching will help nurses have better skills and knowledge regarding patient safety procedures.

Abstract

Background: Good clinical governance in hospitals can be achieved by implementing clinical pathways. Compliance with the implementation of the inguinal hernia clinical pathway does not meet the minimum standard of 80%, for service quality it is at least 80%, for treatment costs it does not meet the INA CBGs standard for treatment class and the standard for length of stay does not meet the standard of ≤3 days. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the effect of compliance with the implementation of the inguinal hernia clinical pathway on service quality, treatment costs and length of stay at Linggajati hospital. Methods: This type of research is survey research. The population of this study was the medical records of inguinal hernia patients from January 2023-June 2024. The sample in this study was 204 respondents taken using purposive sampling technique. Univariate data analysis uses frequency distribution and the Three Box Method and multivariate analysis uses Multinomial Regression and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) Regression. Results: Compliance with the implementation of the inguinal hernia clinical pathway does not have an impact on the quality of service and cost of care but only has an impact on the length of stay at Linggajati Hospital with an R Square value (0.039) and Pvalue (0.000). Conclusions: The results of this research have implications for providing information to health workers to further optimize clinical pathway compliance and monitor quality control evaluation and hospital care costs.

Abstract

Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) is a chronic condition that is often diagnosed in childhood and requires long-term management. Early education plays an important role in shaping children's understanding and readiness to face this disease. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of educational interventions on children's knowledge, attitudes, and abilities in managing T1DM. The review was conducted by analyzing a number of relevant national and international literature, especially those discussing child-based education methods, the role of parents and schools, and the use of digital media and educational games. The results of the review showed that education provided through a personal, interactive, and consistent approach can improve children's understanding of self-care, including recognizing symptoms of hypoglycemia, insulin management, and healthy eating patterns. Active family involvement and collaboration with educational institutions also strengthen the effectiveness of the program. It can be concluded that education that begins early, with a comprehensive and cross-sectoral approach, is very important up to 82% in improving children's readiness to live a healthy life with DMT1. Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive review of the implementation of the Smoke-Free Area (KTR) Policy in Subulussalam City as a proactive step by the City Government in realizing a healthier and better quality environment for all its citizens. This KTR Policy is designed not only to minimize the negative impacts of exposure to cigarette smoke, both for active smokers and vulnerable passive smokers, but also as a vital instrument to encourage changes in community behavior towards a healthier and smoke-free lifestyle. The urgency of implementing KTR in Subulussalam is analyzed from various crucial dimensions, including: (1) Protection of Public Health by reducing the risk of cigarette-related diseases; (2) Improving Air Quality in public spaces; (3) Encouraging Sustainable Healthy Living Behavior; (4) Creating a Comfortable Environment in public facilities; and (5) Support for Sustainable Development by improving public health. This article also specifically details the areas that are legally designated as Smoke-Free Areas in Subulussalam, including but not limited to: health care facilities (hospitals, health centers), places of learning (schools, campuses), places of worship, children's play areas, sports facilities, public transportation, workplaces, and other public facilities stipulated by local regulations. Although the implementation of KTR faces significant challenges such as the need for continuous massive socialization, consistent supervision, and effective law enforcement, the success of this policy is expected to significantly improve the quality of life and health of the community, and become an important foundation for the progress and prosperity of Subulussalam City in the future. This article emphasizes that KTR is a long-term investment for collective health and better city development.
