Abstract

Abstract - This paper reveals how the land use change process occurred due to the construction of post-tsunami relocation housing environments, and its impact on the pattern of daily economic activities of local communities in the coastal hilly areas. This study is important along with UU no. 24 Tahun 2007 concerning disaster management that disaster reconstruction activities must take into account the character of the local community and environmental sustainability. The phenomenological approach in this study is by observing the symptoms of the interaction between the artificial environment of the estate settlement, rural environment, and local residents-immigrants and the impact of the system's sustainability in the region. The data such as: 1) pre-tsunami and current land use maps (2020); 2) observation data, regarding daily activities of economic activities in the area; 3) interviews with community leaders to explain the dynamics of local people's economic activities. The analysis method uses a manual interaction diagram system, to read the causality structure which analyzed with “logic of space”. The results are: a) the location of relocated housing has shifted the location of livestock grazing and agricultural gardens towards hills as well as developing mining business activities C about 0.5-1Km from the housing, which is at risk of natural hazards; b) the housing environment somehow hinders the people’s daily freedom of movement and livestock towards the hills. Livestock sometimes cross residential areas and even eat plants in house yards and green open spaces and these disturb the comfort of residential residents. The conclusion is that the pattern of placing the relocated housing environment has created “space in space” which changes the pattern of community home-range activities. Suggestions for the sustainability of the economic life of local residents and the comfort of living for newcomers are the need for a strategy to organize an official route of movement to the hills and to make improvements to land for the hills, as well as the obligation to permanently fence off the housing environment. Abstract

Among the phenomena that occur as a result of contact between two surfaces is friction sound, in which surface roughness is of great importance. In this study, the parameter of contact stiffness is used to explain the frequency characteristic of vibration generated by the rubbing of flat surfaces under a small load. A 3-disk configuration rubbing method was used, which provides a unique characteristic of the system's frequency response function containing specific information about the rubbing vibrations. It is shown that the peak frequency of the rubbing vibration can be explained by using a two-degrees-of-freedom model incorporating the parameter of contact stiffness. A quantitative relationship between the surface roughness and the peak frequency of the rubbing vibrations was established.

Abstract

The world was very surprised by the existence of a new virus variant originating from China which we are usually familiar with as the Covid-19 Virus Variant. The Covid-19 virus is a threat to all corners of the world, this virus has forced the world to experience a global pandemic for the past few years. This type of research is a quantitative research type with data collection using a questionnaire. The methodology used in collecting research data this time was a survey of various teachers at high school of the same level in the cities of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. The purpose of using the survey method is to obtain accurate data on a group that is not limited to demographic information and is able to collect attitudes and beliefs in a population. This study used a data collection technique using random sampling consisting of 160 participants (23 men and 137 women) consisting of all teachers and school management in several high school schools in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. Online learning is also supported by students, teachers, school facilities and infrastructure that are ready to implement changes to the learning system imposed by the government. This is also supported by school facilities and infrastructure where schools already have good computers and have internet access that can be used in the online learning process

Abstract

Tingkat Parisipasi Agkatan Kerja (TPAK) dan pendidikan merupakan diantara faktor Sumber Daya Manusia yang berkontribusi dalam pembentukan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) yang dapat mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu daerah. Tujuan dari penelitan ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja (TPAK) dan Pendidikan yang dilihat dari Rata-rata Lama Sekolah (RLS) terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Provinsi Aceh. Data yang digunakan dalam penlitian ini mengunakan data time series periode 2005-2019, dengan meggunakan metode deskiriptif kuantitatif dengan alat analisis software SPSS versi 22. Variabel independen terdiri dari Tingkat Parisipasi Agkatan Kerja (TPAK) sebagai (X1), adapun Pendidikan dilihat dari Rata-rata Lama Sekolah (RLS) sebagai (X2) dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi (Y). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan TPAK dan Pendidikan secara simultan berpengaruh secara signifikan, dan juga secara parsial variabel independen yaitu TPAK dan RLS berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Provinsi Aceh.. Nilai Adjusted R2 adalah 0,72 menunjukkan bahwa persentase sumbangan pengaruh variabel independen (TPAK dan Pendidikan) terhadap Variabel dependen (Pertumbuhan Ekonomi) sebesar 72 % dan sisanya 28% di pengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar model penelitian ini.

Abstract

Kegiatan bermain adalah suatu kegiatan yang dilakukan dengan kebebasan batin untuk memperoleh kesenangan yang bertujuan menciptakan sebuah keterampilan fisik dan strategi yang dilakukan secara individu atau kelompok. Berhitung untuk anak pra sekolah adalah mengajarkan pada anak untuk berfikir logis dan matematis dengan cara yang menyenangkan dan tidak rumit, selain itu anak akan memiliki kesiapan untuk pendidikan lebih lanjut. Kegiatan berhitung yang dilakukan oleh anak usia dini merupakan dasar pengenalan matematika awal. Berhitung merupakan dasar awal dari semua ilmu yang digunakan setiap kehidupan manusia. Tujuan penelitian bagaimana penerapan bermain maze angka terhadap kemampuan berhitung anak pra sekolah di TK Hj. Cut Nyak Awan Aceh Besar. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak pra sekolah yang berjumlah 48 orang. Besarnya sampel total populasi sebanyak 48 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara accidental sampling. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dan diolah disajikan dalam bentuk tabel distribusi, frekuensi dan narasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil observasi sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan tindakan bermain maze angka didapatkan sebelum tindakan BB 4 responden (8,3%) setelah tindakan menurun menjadi 2 responden (0%), dan MB sebelum tindakan 15 (31,2) dan sesudah meningkat menjadi 17 (35,4%), dan BSH sebelum tindakan 17 (35,4%) dan sesudah 17 (35,4%) dan BSB sebelum 12 (25%) dan sesudah 12 (25%). Kesimpulan bahwa dengan menggunakan media permainan Maze angka dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung anak. Disarankan kepada pihak Taman Kanak maupun Guru di sekolah untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran terhadap anak dengan mengajarkan permainan maze angka untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi pada anak pra sekolah.

Abstract

Synthetic lubricants have environment problems because they are difficult to decompose and be-come pollutant materials when disposed into the environment. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for biodegradable lubricants. One of the methods to achieve biodegradability of a lubricant is by using eco-friendly base material and nanoparticles from organic materials as additives, such as nanofibers, cellulose and graphene nanoplatelets. In previous studies, it has been confirmed that applying bacterial cellulose at various volume percentages into polyester (POE) oil has reduced friction and wear of the material up 49%. Other studies also mentioned that the addition of several layers of graphene as an additive to Polyalphaolefin (PAO) oil have decreased the value of the fric-tion coefficient from 0.15 to 0.08. In this study, due to their desirable properties, the bacterial cellu-lose (BC) and graphene nanopartcles were used as additives in polyester (POE) oil. Four types of lubricant specimens with different additive content were prepared for the study. The friction tests were carried out using a reciprocating pin on disk type tribometer at temperatures of 65°±3°C and 27°C. The results indicated improvements in the tribological properties; 60% friction reduction at temperature of 65°±3°C and 66.7% at a temperature of 27°C, with the presence of both BC and graphene in POE compared to those without the additives. In addition, the wear analysis from the results of micro-surface observation of the specimen indicates the reduction of the specific wear rate values as the effect of additives. It is found that the specific wear rate decreased from 6.09×10-6 mm3/N.m to 4.82×10-7 mm3/N.m at 65°±3°C and from 1.57×10-6 mm3/N.m to 2.38×10-7 mm3/N.m at 27°C with the presence of both BC and graphene in POE compared to those without the addi-tives.

Abstract

Coolant and twist drill angle is one of the factors that affect the quality of the workpiece. Coolant selection and twist drill angle are useful for reducing hole roughness and increasing drill hole precision. In addition, the coolant must be easily degraded in the environment so that the environment is not polluted. An example of coconut oil is oil that can be degraded in the environment. This study aims to determine the effect of coconut oil (CO) and drill bit angle on the hole and hole precision obtained during the drilling process. In experimental testing, conventional drilling machines are used for test testing. the tests were carried out under various machining parameters, namely spindle rotation speed of 1100 rpm, drill bit angles of 130° and 135°. Based on these parameters, the spindle rotation speed of 1100 rpm and the drill bit angle of 135° is rougher than the drilling results for the spindle rotation speed of 1100 rpm and the drill bit angle of 130°. In addition, the roundness of the drilled holes for a spindle rotational speed of 1100 rpm and a drill bit angle of 130° is more precise than the spindle rotation speed of 1100 rpm and a drill bit angle of 135°.

Abstract

Health is an aspect that is very significant in supporting the processes of human life, such as oral and dental health. School-age children are a time when children gain basic knowledge about the importance of cleanliness, especially oral hygiene. School-age children experience many dental and oral health problems such as caries and cavities at this time. The results of basic health research (Riskesdas) in 2018 proved that the prevalence of dental caries in the Indonesian population, including children, was around 80%, while in Aceh people who experienced dental caries reached 80%. Health education is needed as an effort to improve skills, awareness, attitudes and actions. School age children need appropriate learning methods to improve their knowledge and skills in brushing their teeth, one of which is simulation and audiovisual methods such as video media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education with video lessons on the correct way to brush teeth in school age children. This study is a study using the literature study method by examining 14 journals (9 national journals and 5 international journals) related to the knowledge of brushing teeth in school-age children from all objects studied and considered to be representative of the entire population. The sampling technique in this research was literature review, namely elementary school students. The results of the study were 9 journals that were relevant, using video media, that health education with instructional videos had an effect on students' abilities on how to brush their teeth properly. While 5 journals do not use video media, they are still related to the title of the researcher. Based on the results of the study, the researchers suggest that this research can be used as a reference in providing health education on how to properly brush teeth for school-age children, especially through video media.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kelompok peternak tentang pemanfaatan limbah kandang ayam berupa litter sebagai sumber bahan baku utama dalam pembuatan pupuk kompos. Pengetahuan tentang pemanfaatan limbah kandang ayam sebagai pupuk kompos sangat diperlukan karena limbah kandang ayam merupakan salah satu bahan utama yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai komponen pembuatan pupuk kompos sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai pupuk dasar tanaman pepaya calina. Pengetahuan tentang pemanfaatan limbah kandang ayam dan penerapannya pada tanaman pepaya calina sebagai pupuk dasar sangat diperlukan karena pupuk merupakan komponen biaya yang signifikan dalam struktur produksi pertanian. Selain faktor biaya, kandungan dan komposisi nutrisi pupuk juga akan berpengaruh langsung terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman. Pupuk kompos adalah salah satu jenis bahan organik yang dapat digunakan untuk menambah dan memperbaiki kesuburan tanah. Pemanfaatan limbah kandang ayam merupakan salah satu alternatif yang sangat tepat untuk mengatasi kelangkaan dan meningkatnya harga pupuk dewasa ini. Sampai saat ini pemanfaatan limbah kandang ayam sebagai bahan baku utama dalam pembuatan pupuk kompos belum dilakukan secara optimal, sehingga banyak limbah kandang ayam menumpuk di sekitar kandang dan apabila tidak dikelola dengan bijak maka dapat mencemari lingkungan. Metode pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu berupa pembekalan tentang teknik pemanfaatan dan pengolahan limbah kandang ayam sebagai bahan baku utama dalam pembuatan dan produksi pupuk kompos serta penerapannya pada tanaman pepaya calina. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian telah diperoleh hasil berupa meningkatnya pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat/kelompok peternak dalam pemanfaatan limbah kandang ayam sebagai bahan utama dalam pembuatan pupuk kompos dan dapat dijadikan sebagai pupuk dasar tanaman pepaya calina

Abstract

The land requirement for Putri Betung Sub District in Gunung Leuser National Park (GLNP) area kept increasing along with the population growth. The population density in the Putri Betung Sub-district was driven by the need for cultivation and residential area along the GLNP conservation boundary. This study aims to analyze the space adequacy for Putri Betung Sub-District in the GLNP area based on the population pressure prediction for 20 years. The research method was conducted by field survey using remote sensing, interviewed the residents, and analyzed the population pressure index using the Soemarwoto formula. ThePopulation Pressure Index (PPI)forthe cultivation area was determined from 13 villages in Putri Betung Subdistrict and shows that 12 villages had a PPI 1 value (population pressure was over the land carrying capacity limits). Only one village had PPI 1 (population pressure less than the land carrying capacity. Based on data surveys obtained, the cultivation area set in the Putri Betung area was no longer sufficient for population, resultingfrom the expansion in the GLNP area of 4,776.97 ha. Meanwhile, predictive analysis on space adequacy for people living decently in Putri Betung Sub District for 20 upcoming years is 6117.15 ha. In conclusion, 12 out of 13 villages in the Putri Betung SubDistrict havePPI 1 value, which is inversely proportional to the land carrying capacity. The PPI values could result in other pressures on the ecology and biodiversity conservation in National Park. It is suggested that the government need to surpassthe pressure by making new policy on peoples resettlement, expanding the cultivation area, or shifting people's livelihoods.
