Abstract

Interest in learning involves a person's full involvement by pouring all their thoughts and attention into acquiring knowledge and achieving an understanding of the knowledge they require. The student's obligation is to keep learning in the learning process and due to factors of minimal interest in learning such as reading, lack of knowledge in learning computers. This is very influential for students, students feel bored and have difficulty dealing with the learning process, especially learning IT and can cause students to have low interest in learning. The aim of this service is to make students learn together while playing by increasing students' interest in learning through a tutoring program. The method in this research is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, namely action research and participation. With the intelligence that each student has, motivation from teachers and parents, student independence in learning, how teachers teach, praise if students can complete assignments correctly, how to give rewards and punishments to students, with some of these innovations it will be possible for students to increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This community service activity was implemented to fill the schedule during the month of Ramadan, taking the form of a Short Pesantren Program (Pesantren Kilat) at RA Muslimat NU Mlangen, Desa Menoreh. The program aimed to solidify the understanding of Islamic principles and to strengthen and develop good character (akhlak) among early childhood students. Initial observation revealed constraints such as a limited number of teachers, insufficient facilities, and a lack of varied learning activities. To address these issues, an innovative program was designed, blending religious education, practical skills, and character building. The activity took place from March 21 to March 23, 2025, involving active collaboration from RA teachers, students from the Syubbanul Wathon Magelang Islamic College, and parents, with 70 early childhood students participating. Core activities included daily worship habituation, moral education through storytelling, and Islamic creative activities. This program proved to be an effective solution for character education needs and strengthened the collaborative role of teachers, parents, and the surrounding environment in shaping a morally upright generation.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted at Al-Ikhlas Mosque, Kempul Hamlet, Menoreh Village, Salaman District, Magelang Regency, primarily targeting local children and youth. The main problem identified was the inadequate application and understanding of Tajwid rules during Qur'an recitation, where learners generally focused only on hijaiyah pronunciation without grasping the correct principles. The goal of this program was to increase the interest in reading the Qur'an and ensure the participants' recitation adheres to Tajwid rules. The method employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which allowed the youth generation to actively participate in the learning process. The action program, consisting of direct face-to-face teaching, was implemented over 30 days, commencing from February 24, 2025, to March 25, 2025, supported by the development of a simple Tajwid module and guidebook. The result of this service demonstrated a significant improvement in the children's ability to recite the Qur'an in accordance with Tajwid rules, simultaneously enhancing their sense of ownership and motivation in Qur'an literacy practice.

Abstract

The use of enjoyable learning methods (fun learning) is highly necessary for lower-grade students to support their development and create optimal interaction. The Community Service Team implemented this program at MI Al Islam Prampelan as a creative effort to transform the learning atmosphere from monotonous to engaging, with the primary goal of boosting the enthusiasm and motivation of 2nd Grade students. The approach utilized was Asset Based Community Development (ABCD), which focuses on leveraging and developing the existing assets and potential within the educational institution. The service results demonstrated that the application of the innovative Fun Learning method successfully established an interactive and pleasant learning environment, and significantly increased students' learning enthusiasm and engagement.

Abstract

Halal certification is a vital instrument for ensuring product wholesomeness and safety, while also serving as a crucial added value in enhancing the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Nevertheless, micro-business actors frequently face obstacles such as limited understanding of BPJPH regulations, low digital literacy, and minimal access to technical assistance. This community service activity aims to provide education and direct assistance to business actors in Kempul Hamlet regarding understanding procedures, preparing documents, and submitting applications for Halal certification. The implementation method utilized the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving intensive training sessions, consultation, and direct assistance. The activity took place from February 17 to March 29, 2025. The results indicate that the assistance successfully helped producers understand certification requirements, ensured their products complied with applicable standards, and successfully assisted the MSMEs in submitting applications and commencing the implementation of the Halal Assurance System (SJH) in accordance with the Halal Product Guarantee Law (UU JPH).

Abstract

The low financial literacy of rural communities, particularly concerning Sharia stock investment, poses a challenge in realizing Islamic values-based economic self-reliance. This community service activity was conducted in Kempul Hamlet as a response to the minimal public understanding of Sharia-compliant investment concepts and mechanisms. The primary goal was to increase the understanding and awareness of residents—who are predominantly Muslim and interested in the Sharia economy—regarding Sharia financial literacy, and to encourage their participation in the Sharia capital market. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), consisting of five stages: diagnosing, action planning, action taking, evaluating, and specifying learning. Implementation involved face-to-face socialization, interactive discussions, Sharia stock account opening simulations, and introduction to digital investment applications. The results showed that participants achieved a significant increase in understanding on average and expressed interest in trying Sharia stock investment. The formation of independent study groups post-activity also serves as a positive indicator of sustainability. The synergy between the service team, village leaders, and resource persons from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and securities firms was key to the program's success, ultimately encouraging the growth of an inclusive and sustainable financial ecosystem at the village level.

Abstract

This article discusses efforts to enhance student character through curriculum optimization at TPQ Al-Ikhlas in Kempul Hamlet, Menoreh, Salaman. The community service methodology utilized includes structured education, training, and counseling. The activities were conducted by the service team using a participatory and enjoyable approach, targeting the strengthening of children's religious and moral values. Five main aspects were the focus of the activities: tajwid learning, habituation of worship, interactive approaches, religious short sermons (kultum), and khataman appreciation activities. The results demonstrated that a proper and integrated curriculum approach could significantly increase children's discipline, responsibility, and worship competence. Supported by the local community and teachers, the program showed high effectiveness in shaping the character of the TPQ students. This research is expected to serve as a reference for developing character education models based on religious institutions like TPQ.
