Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of member credit interest and bad credit risk on credit ceiling setting at the Koperasi PPA Sejahtera Site BIB . Credit ceiling policy is an important instrument in financing management that serves to control credit risk. The setting of disproportionate ceilings often causes problems such as high credit risk, decreased liquidity, and an imbalance in the cooperative's cash flow. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation of the cooperative's management and members. The data obtained was then analyzed to describe the relationship between the application of credit ceilings and indicators of member credit interest and credit default risk. The results of this study indicate that the application of an appropriate credit ceiling policy can increase the credit interest of cooperative members and improve the efficiency of fund distribution and reduce credit default risk.

Abstract

As a company engaged in the field of CPO transportation , PT Pelita Jaya is also present in carrying out expeditions from the loading location to the destination (unloading). The company faces challenges in allocating a total of 900 tons of CPO from three PKS PT PTPN IV (Bah Jambi, Dolok Hilir, Pabatu) to three destination depots (PT MNA, PT KPBN, PT SMART) to achieve the lowest cost. This study aims to optimize the cost of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) transportation at PT Pelita Jaya. The type of data used is primary data with data collection through interviews and observations field. Researchers use a transportation model as a quantitative approach from Operations Research. Solutions are sought using three methods: Northwest Corner (NWC), Vogel's Approximation (VAM), and Stepping-Stone. with POM QM for Windows as tool supporters data processing . The results identified the optimal allocation that minimizes total costs: Bah Jambi PKS (340 tons) is allocated entirely to PT MNA; Dolok Hilir PKS (260 tons) is allocated entirely to PT SMART (260 tons); and Pabatu PKS (300 tons) is allocated to PT MNA (60 tons), PT KPBN (200 tons) and PT SMART (40 tons). The application of this model has proven successful in providing strategic recommendations to minimize logistics costs and improve distribution efficiency at PT Pelita Jaya.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and analyze a transportation model to optimize the cost of shipping goods at PT Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) Medan Branch Office which is driven by the challenges of cost management amidst the rapid growth of the logistics sector. The method used is a transportation model, specifically the initial solution approach North West Corner (NWC) and Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM), with the help of the POM QM application for Windows. The data processed includes the capacity of three large warehouses (gateways), namely Aceh, Kisaran, Pekanbaru and three small warehouses (dropcenters), namely Amplas, Gatot Subroto, Marelan, as well as the cost of shipping goods. The results of the initial allocation comparison show that both the NWC and VAM methods produce the same total transportation cost, namely Rp 5,477,900. However, this cost is not optimal. Furthermore, the calculation of the separate minimum driver wage using the Assignment Method resulted in a cost of Rp 578,000,- which is much lower than the total wage based on the NWC/VAM allocation of Rp 967,000,-. In conclusion, to achieve optimal operational cost efficiency, it is recommended that the allocation of goods distribution be integrated with the results of driver wage cost optimization.
