Abstract

The goal of this research was to describe the management implementation of lifeskills teaching, the child after getting lifeskills teaching, supporting factors and inhibitors of lifeskills teaching at Yapenas Special Education, Condongcatur, Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta.This study used qualitative approach, sources of data were the headmaster, the vice principal student, the vice principal infrastucture, the vice principal staff, teachers who teach lifeskills, and class teachers. The data collection applied were observation, interview, and document. The validation of the data was done by lengthening the participation, perseverance of observation and triangulation.The result of this study showed that the implementation of lifeskills teaching in Yapenas Special Education running well. The result of input evaluation showed that the educators and infrastucture were adequate enaugh, the management of funds from any sources was very good, learning resources were complete. The result of the evaluation process showed that the management of skill programs in lifeskills was good enough, and the teaching process of lifeskills which was involved teaching learning process, student’s interaction and activities in lifeskills teaching was very good. The result of output evaluation showed that the implementation of lifeskills teaching about student’s abillity was very good. The supported factors in the implementation of lifeskills teaching consisted of internal factors such as the strong of student’s motivation and concentration, and the external factors were the good relationship between the school and the student’s parents, the school and goverment, observers of special schools, the availability of infrastucture and funds, and also school cooperation. The obstacles in the implementation of lifeskills teaching come from internal factors such as the deaf student’s tended to be moody, the difficulties in communication, and from the external factors were the limitation of places for practicing lifeskills teaching and the experts in a certain skill for lifeskills teaching.This research concludes the management implementation lifeskills teaching at Yapenas Special Education was arranged and done well. The kinds of skills taught in principle, is quite varied but not enough meet some students who has an aptitude or interest outside deftness lifeskills taught at school. The deftness taught among others: carpentry, food, or cooking sewed or fashion, agriculture and fisheries. Based on conclution of the research should be channeled development of lifeskills taught for students and all the talent capable of facilitated school.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal: the influence of principal’s leadhership behaviors, the motivation, and the teacher’s work commitment on the school performance of Public Junior High School in the Kutowinangun Sub District Kebumen Regency 2012/2013.This is an expost facto research. The population of the research is all teachers of Public Junior High School of Kutowinangun Sub Distric Kebumen Regency 2012/2013.The sample contains of 95 teachers which is determined by random sampling technique based on the determination of the amount of sample table developed by Isaac and Michael. The instruments for the data collection were questionnaires using a Likert scale respectively had been tested againts the validity and reliability by using the analysis Alpha Cronbach formula.The data analysis technique used were descriptive and inferential analyzes, multiple regresssion and partial correlation. Descriptive analysis results indicate that the performance of school in the Public Junior High School of Kutowinangun Sub District, Kebumen Regency school year 2012/2013 is 43.16% is high There is a positive influence of Principal’s Leadership Behaviors on School Performance, there is a positive influence of Work Motivation Teacher on school performenc, there is no influence of Commitmenton the Performance of the School, and simultaneously influence on the school performance with multiple correlation coefficient an R value for 0,686 indicating that the simultaneous Principal’s Leadership Behaviors, Work Motivation and Work Commitment Teacher’s Performance influence on School Performance of Secondary Schools in Kutowinangun Sub District, Kebumen Regency school year 2012/2013 amounted to 68,6% and the remaining 31,4% is influenced by other factors not examined in thisstudy.

Abstract

One of the ways to increase someone quality is with studying. Developing quality self getsto be sailed through by way of reading, get discussion, ask, observe, etcetera. With studying will increase knowledge to deliver into positive change. But frequent studying to be looked on as activity that featureless and palling.Condition of this is that as daring for oldster. If at school, condition of such gets into head to learn to make studying as activity that agreeable. Studying was espoused to perceive pleasing, effective more process, more learned achievement optimal. In self person which do studying available complex activity that involve physical aspect and also psychological. That activity learnedding to reach expected result, need noticed aspect which ascendants. One of aspect which ascendant is communication among teacher and students. Understanding communication, as one of influential factor to learning. Effective communication pointed out by marks sense positive response on teacher and student. And that positive response amends if backed up by inspiratif's spirit teacher and students, so learning gets to reach aim already being determined.

Abstract

The research aims to determine: (1) the extent to which the influence of principal’s modelling, teacher’s competency, and work environment on the teacher’s performance, (2) the extent to which the influence of principal’s modelling on the teacher’s performance, (3) the extent to which the influence of teacher’s competency on the teacher’s performance, and (4) the extent to which the influence of work environment on the teacher’s performance. The research was conducted in Elementary school of UPTD PAUD and Primary education in Pengasih subdistrict, Kulonprogo regency. This research method is survey method with correlative approach. The population in this research was all Public Elementary School teachers in Pengasih subdistrict, Kulonprogo regency. The sample of this research was drawn by using proportional random sampling, quota sampling, simple random sampling. The sample numbering is 180 teachers. The data was collected by using questionnaires. The data were analyzed by using multiple liniear regression technique and partial correlation technique after testing the normality, linierity, and multicollinearity test. The conclusions of this research are: (1) the teacher’s elementary school performance in Pengasih subdistrict is in the categories high, which means the performance of the teachers are good, (2) the elementary school principal’s modelling in Pengasih subdistrict is in the categories high, which means that the principal’s modelling is good, (3) the elementary school teacher’s competency in Pengasih subdistrict is in the categories high, which means the competency of teachers are good, (4) the work environment of elementary school teachers in Pengasih subdistrict is in high category, which means that the working environment is good, (5) there is a positive and significant relationship between the principal’s modelling, teacher’s competency and work environment on the teacher’s performance of elementary school teachers in Pengasih subdistrict by 54.3%, Effective contribution biggest among the three predictor variables in the study is teacher’s competency that is equal to 28.52%. While the effective contribution of the work environment by 15.07%, and the effective contribution of principal’s modelling is the smallest in the amount of 10.77%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Pembelajaran PPPE materi Konsep dasar Monitor melalui penggunaan metode tutor sebaya pada siswa kelas I TKJ 2 di SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2010 / 2011, yang diharapkan bermanfaat juga bagi guru, siswa, dan bagi sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian diskriptif kualitatif, sedangkan datanya dianalisis berdasarkan diskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas I TKJ 2 pada program Keahlian Teknik Komputer dan jaringan yang berjumlah 35 siswa, terdiri dari 23 siswa putra dan 12 siswa putri.Metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan siklus yang berulang yaitu siklus I dan siklus II. Data diperoleh dengan observasi, wawancara, soal tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pembelajaran setelah adanya tindakan PTK dilaksanakan yaitu 74,571 pada pre tes dengan ketuntasan 48,571%; pada siklus I nilai rata – rata 75,857 dengan ketuntasan 54,286%; pada siklus II nilai rata – rata 85,429 dengan ketuntasan 97,143%. Pada akhirnya pembelajaran dengan tindakan PTK ini dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pembelajaran PPPE materi konsep dasar monitor pada siswa kelas I TKJ 2 di SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta tahun pelajaran 2010 / 2011. Peningkatan hasil belajar diatas memberikan gambaran bahwa pembelajaran PPPE materi konsep dasar monitor menggunakan metode tutor sebaya berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research is conducted to know how management principles: planning, organizing, actuating and controlling are implemented in the assessment of skill competency of Vocational Schools (SMK) students in Sleman. This research is also aimed to reveal howm the preparation of assessment is verified. Besides, this research is done to know the acknowledgement of Competency Certificates of SMK students by the industry.The research held in 53 State and Private Vocational Schools in Kabupaten Sleman using the simple quantitative approach and qualitative approach. The researcher distributed questioners containing questions about the objectives of the research as mentioned above. The researcher continued the research using the qualitative approach in 2 (two) State Vocational Schools and 2 (two) Private Vocational Schools. The qualitative approach was done by examining documents and interviewing personnel involved in the assessment of skill competency.The result of this research showed that in general, all Vocational Schools have implemented the management principles, planning, organizing, actuating and controlling, but it is not yet done in detail. The verification of readiness of Vocational Schools to carry on competency assessment has also been done following the guidance. The verification was done to check the preparation of schools to carry on assessment either the equipment, the adequacy in number, the specification, the materials needed and budgeting. Certificates of Competency owned by Vocational School graduates are forms of acknowledgement toward their competencies, however they still have to take a test or selection whenever they apply for jobs as new workers. The reason is that the number of applicants is bigger than the number of workers needed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan tiga aspek penting dalam implementasi manajemen pembelajaran program akselerasi di SMAN 1 Teladan Yogyakarta Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, yaitu: implementasi manajemen kurikulum, proses belajar, dan mengajar pada Program Akselerasi di SMAN 1 Teladan Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, implementasi manajemen pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan pada Program Akselerasi di SMAN 1 Teladan Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan manajemen pembiayaan, pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, kurikulum dan proses belajar mengajar pada Program Akselerasi di SMAN 1 Teladan Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dan bagaimana cara mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan data kualitatif, analaisis datanya menggunakan model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Selain itu menggunakan metode Bogdan dan Biklen yaitu menganalisis data kualitatif dengan cara bekerja dengan data. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data adalah menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan pencermatan dokumen. Sementara pengujian keabsahan data dilakukan dengan cara memperpanjang waktu penelitian, triangulasi data, auditing data atau penelusuran data. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa secara umum implementasi manajemen pembelajaran program akselerasi di SMA Negeri 1 Teladan Yogyakarta Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta sudah berjalan dengan baik, dan beberapa masalah yang muncul bisa diatasi dengan baik pula. Manajemen kurikulum dan proses belajar mengajar dengan baik diawali dari melakukan perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, melakukan pengawasan terhadap proses pembelajaran, dan melakukan evaluasi terhadap pembelajaran. Manajemen pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan. Pendidik merencanakan dan melaksanakan proses pembelajaran, menilai hasil pembelajaran, melakukan pembimbingan, dan melakukan penelitian. Dan tenaga kependidikan bertugas melaksanakan administrasi, pengelolaan, pengembangan, pengawasan dan pelayanan teknis. Dalam melakukan pengelolaan kurikulum dan proses belajar dan mengajar dan pengelolaan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan pihak SMAN 1 Teladan Yogyakarta menghadapi hambatan, namun pihak sekolah dapat menyelesaikan dengan baik. Caranya memanfaatkan secara maksimal segala faktor yang menjadi pendukung, peran masyarakat, dan proses pembelajaran itu sendiri sehingga telah berdampak positif terhadap siswa peserta didik dan bagi SMAN 1 Teladan Yogyakarta sendiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendiskripsikan: 1) peningkatan mutu pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 1 Temon, 2) penerapan disiplin semi militer pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 1 Temon, dan 3) pengelolaan kegiatan Praktek Kerja Industri(Prakerin) Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 1 Temon pada tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 dalam rangka penyelenggaraan otonomi pendidikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, mengkaji perspektif partisipan dengan multi strategi, seperti metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pengumpulan data dengan metode wawancara untuk mendapatkan data yang tentang input, proses dan out put yang berkaitan dengan mutu pembelajaran, penerapan kedisiplinan dan pengelolaan Praktek Kerja Industri(Prakerin), sedangkan metode observasi dan dokumentasi dilaksanakan untuk mendapatkan data yang kredibel tentang lingkungan sekolah, sarana prasarana sekolah, dan kegiatan-kegiatan sekolah yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran di SMK Negeri 1 Temon.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pengelolaan mutu pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 1 Temon kriterianya baik sekali, dibuktikan dengan dokumen kurikulum (KTSP) sudah lengkap, dokumen persiapan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran guru baik sekali, sementara itu pada dokumen analisis hasil evaluasi pembelajaran dan dokumen program perbaikan/pengayaan kriterianya baik, karena baru sekitar 80,5%-98,2% guru yang menyusun perangkatnya, 2) penerapan disiplin semi militer kepada siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 1 Temon kriterianya sangat baik, karena disiplin yang diterapkan bukan disiplin semimiliter yang menganut kekerasan dan balas dendam. Istilah “semimiliter“ perlu direvisi karena istilah “semimiliter“ identik dengan budaya kekerasan dan balas dendam antara senior yunior dan, 3) pengelolaan Praktek Kerja Industri ( Prakerin ) kriterianya baik sekali, karena telah melibatkan orang-orang yang berkompeten di bidangnya.

Abstract

The research aims at finding out the partially influence of principal’s leadership factor on the teacher’s performance, school climate on the teacher’s performance, school culture on the teacher’s performance, principal’s leadership, school climate and school culture on the performance of teachers of Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa School in Yogyakarta.The population of this research is teachers of Kinder Garten, Elementary School, Junior School, Senior School and Vocational School Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa in Yogyakarta with the number of teachers is 104. The sample of this research is 78 teachers of Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa School in Yogyakarta. The data collecting technique used questionnaire to find out principal’s leadership, school climate, school culture, and teacher’s performance. The research method applied was descriptive. Testing technique of data analysis pre-requirements are normality test, linearity test, and multi-co-linearity test. Then it was continued by multiple regression.Based on the research, it can be concluded that: (1) the factors of Principal’s leadership, school climate, and school culture have positive and significant influence on the performance of teachers in Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa School Yogyakarta, (2) principal’s leadership has positive and significant influence on the performance of teachers in Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa Yogyakarta, (3) school climate factor has positive and significant influence on the performance of teachers in Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa School Yogyakarta, (4) school culture factor has positive and significant influence on the performance of teachers in Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa School Yogyakarta. Mean while the effective and relative contribution based on the result of hypothesis testing is: (1) the effective contribution of principal’s leadership on teacher’s performance is 10.85% and the relative contribution is 30.51%, (2) the effective contribution of school climate on teacher’s performance is 10,71% and the relative contribution is 30,12%, (3) the effective contribution of school culture on teacher’s performance is 14% and the relative contribution is 39,37%.

Abstract

This research was a survey research using quantitative correlational research approach. This research was done in 19 elementary schools in Piyungan Subdistrict, Bantul Regency. The population of this research was the elementary school teachers they were 268 people, while the sample 152 peoples. The data were collected using questionnaire and analyzed by multiple regression and continued by partial correlation analysis. The results of this research show that (a) there is positive and significant work motivation, principals’ leadership style and infrastructure on teachers’ performance of elementary school, (b) there is positive and significant influence of work motivation on elementary school teachers’ performance, (c) there is positive and significant principals’ leadership style on teachers’ performance of elementary School and, (d) infrastructure did not give influent on Elementary School teachers’ performance in Piyungan Subdistrict, Bantul Regency.
