Abstract

Stunting remains a significant national challenge in Indonesia, with a prevalence rate of 21.5% in 2023, where high food costs and the mismanagement of household assets such as underutilized small yards contribute to the vulnerability of toddler nutrition in rural areas like Adin Tengah Village. This community service program aimed to integrate economic management principles with public health interventions to foster household food self-sufficiency and mitigate stunting risks through the implementation of the "Eco-Nutri" model. The program was conducted over six months using a systematic four-stage approach consisting of social mapping, integrated education on financial literacy and nutrition, field implementation of vertical farming systems, and sustainability monitoring. Results indicated that the Eco-Nutri model successfully transformed 85% of previously idle land into productive gardens and led to a 25-30% reduction in daily household vegetable expenditures, allowing families to reallocate their budget toward high-quality animal proteins. Furthermore, nutritional literacy among participants increased by 65%, demonstrating that the integration of economic resource management and ecological nutrition is a strategic and effective approach to enhancing household resilience. In conclusion, the program established a sustainable model for long-term stunting prevention by empowering the community to optimize limited resources for better health and economic outcomes

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed marketing activities from conventional methods into more interactive and technology-based digital marketing practices. However, the high level of internet usage among adolescents has not been fully accompanied by the ability to utilize technology productively. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ digital marketing literacy through smartphone-based promotional video training at Carnegie Senior High School Medan. The method used was a participatory and practical approach consisting of material presentation, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and evaluation. The participants were 40 students from grades XI and XII. The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding of digital marketing concepts and their ability to create simple promotional videos. Based on the evaluation results, approximately 85% of students understood the basic concepts of digital marketing and around 80% were able to create promotional videos with a fairly good structure. In addition, the activity encouraged a shift in students’ mindset regarding smartphone usage from consumptive purposes to more productive and creative activities. Practice-based training proved effective in improving students’ digital skills while providing practical and relevant learning experiences aligned with the needs of the digital era.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has provided various conveniences in the learning process. It has also created challenges in the form of increased distractions that affect students’ learning focus. Low concentration levels and ineffective time management can reduce learning effectiveness and negatively impact students' academic productivity. One method that can help address these issues is the Pomodoro Technique, a time management method that divides learning activities into structured intervals of focused work and short breaks. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ understanding of the importance of concentration and learning discipline through the introduction of the Pomodoro Technique among students at Carnegie High School. The implementation method employed a participatory and educational approach through several stages, including preparation, material presentation, practical sessions, and evaluation. Evaluation was conducted through observation, discussions, and the administration of pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed that participants responded positively to the training activities. Students demonstrated high enthusiasm during the program and were able to understand and apply the Pomodoro Technique during learning simulations. In addition, the method was perceived as helpful in managing study time more effectively, improving concentration, and reducing boredom during learning activities. Therefore, the introduction of the Pomodoro Technique has the potential to serve as an alternative strategy for enhancing students’ concentration and learning discipline.

Abstract

The micro sector dominates the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) landscape in Bojonegoro, facing structural gaps and high market competition. This empowerment activity aimed to formulate and implement an integrated marketing strategy for Pak Muhib’s laying-hen business in Ngujo Village, Kalitidu District, Bojonegoro Regency, to build competitive advantage amidst fluctuating egg prices. Using Participatory Action Research (PAR) within a qualitative approach, data were gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The intervention steps included problem identification, co-creation of logos and brands, packaging improvement, and gradual digitalization using WhatsApp. The results demonstrated positive marketing improvements, where egg sales steadily rose to 32 kg/month, recovering the monthly turnover to IDR 832,000 in May 2026 despite low market prices. Socially, it fostered a new marketing consciousness and established the partner as a local leader for surrounding farmers. The main strength of this program was its participatory approach that drove genuine behavioral transformation. However, it was constrained by limited digital literacy and the partner's operational time constraints in managing the farm. Future development should focus on sustainable assistance regarding business time management and introducing automated digital ordering tools to ensure long-term economic independence.

Abstract

The development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Delitua District faces latent challenges in the form of limited Human Resources (HR) management capacity. Most local entrepreneurs still rely on conventional management without planning, division of labor and structured work motivation. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to provide practical understanding and skills for entrepreneurs in Delitua in managing human resources to increase productivity and business competitiveness. The method used in this service is carrying out intensive training which includes delivering material, interactive case studies, as well as mentoring sessions in creating simple SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). The service partners consist of 25 MSME actors in the Delitua area. Evaluation of the success of activities is carried out by distributing pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results of the service showed an 85% increase in participants' understanding regarding the importance of HR governance, which includes aspects of simple recruitment, division of tasks (job descriptions), and providing non-financial incentives to increase employee loyalty. Through this training, entrepreneurs in Delitua are now able to implement more organized HR management for more profitable business sustainability.
