Abstract

CTEV (Congenital et al.) is defined as a condition in which there is adductor in the front of the foot and supination in the back, varus in the toes in the subtalar complex, equinus in the hindfoot, and medial deviation of the entire foot towards the floor surface. The CTEV therapy process requires routine and periodic evaluations until the child ages 4-5. This, of course, impacts the level of knowledge and compliance of parents in accompanying their children during the therapy program. Examining how health education utilizing leaflet media affects parents' understanding of children with CTEV is the primary goal of this study. One group was given a pretest-posttest as part of this quantitative study's quasi-experimental methodology. The parents of children who are patients make up the population. Thirty participants were selected using a purposive sampling method. Using a questionnaire as its measuring instrument, this study examines two parts: part A, which focuses on respondent characteristics, and part B, which delves into questions on CTEV and the knowledge element associated with it. The analysis used is a bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test. There is a significant difference in the mean level of parental knowledge on the pre-test and post-test in the experimental group, with a p-value of 0f 0.019. Health education regarding CTEV for parents who have children suffering from CTEV using leaflets influences the level of knowledge of respondents. Hopefully,  these results can be an alternative intervention to increase parents' knowledge about CTEV.

Abstract

Menarche is the onset of menstruation, typically occurring between the ages of 10 and 16. Adolescents who are unprepared to face menarche may develop feelings of rejection toward this physiological process, viewing menstruation as something harsh and threatening. Adequate education and information about menstruation are crucial for female students to be well-prepared for menarche. This study aims to assess the effect of health education on menstruation on female students' readiness to face menarche. The research employed a cross-sectional method with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data analysis was conducted using the nonparametric Wilcoxon matched pairs test. The results showed a significant improvement in students' readiness after receiving health education, with a p-value of 0.000 (0.05). The study concludes that health education significantly enhances students' readiness to face menarche. It is recommended that schools collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide menstruation education, ensuring that students are better prepared for menarche.

Dysmenorrhea that often occurs in adolescents is primary dysmenorrhea, which is menstrual pain that occurs after the first few years of menstruation. One of the exercises that can be used to alleviate dysmenorrhea is gymnastics.Research Objective: To determine the effect of AMIRKAN exercise on the reduction of menstrual pain in junior high school students in Labuapi District. This type of research is pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study consists of all seventh and eighth-grade female students from each school: SMPN 1 Labuapi with 134 students, SMPN 2 Labuapi with 134 students, and SMPN 3 Labuapi with 137 students. The sampling technique was based on calculations using Proportional Random Sampling according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, totaling 100 students. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The research shows that the Amirkan exercise (anti-dysmenorrhea for adolescents through movement) has an effect on reducing dysmenorrhea pain levels among seventh and eighth-grade female students at junior high schools in Labuapi District. The Amirkan exercise intervention, performed regularly 2-3 days before menstruation, can stretch the abdominal and pelvic muscles, making it a potential effort to reduce menstrual pain.

Abstract

Background: The postpartum period has a strong position as a risk factor for the development of serious mood disorders that can lead to postpartum blues and even depression. Postpartum blues is one of the adjustment disorders after childbirth in the form of feelings of sadness and anxiety that occur on day 3 to day 5 in the first 14 days after childbirth. This condition can cause bounding attachment problems between mother and baby, delays in physical, social, and cognitive development in infants. In other aspects, it affects postpartum care, maternal health, and greatly affects the mother's quality of life. Methods: This study was a type of quantitative research with a quasy experiment design. Total population of 50 mothers with total sampling, the number of samples of this study was 50 respondents. Observations were made twice, namely before and after the experiment and there was a control and intervention group (25 samples/group). Results: There was a rfesignificant difference in the average postpartum blues (EPDS score) before and after being given an educational video in the intervention group with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05). The data normality test used Shapiro Wilk with the results of the normally distributed data with a p value of >0.05. The bivariate test uses the paired t-test, which is to determine the effect  of educational videos as an effort to reduce the incidence of postpartum blues before and after the provision of educational videos in the intervention group and control group. There was a decrease in EPDS scores with a difference between post-test and pre-test of 5.16. Researchers 95% believe that the difference in EPDS scores before the educational video with EPDS scores after education is between 4.53 to 5.80l. Conclusion: Video education is proven to have an effect on reducing the incidence of postpartum blues in the group given educational videos. Respondents in the intervention group experienced a significant decrease in postpartum blues compared to the control group.

Handling stunting cases is still a major focus in Indonesia. Stunting as a public health problem related to chronic malnutrition in children has become an important issue in Indonesia, especially among adolescent age groups who can contribute to the prevention of stunting in the future. This study aims to determine the description of adolescent knowledge about stunting. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey through a questionnaire. The population of all class X students at MAN Kota Tegal was 467 people. Determination of the sample using the Slovin formula, the number of research samples was 215 people. Inclusion criteria: Class X students, aged between 15-16 years and willing to be a research respondent. Data were analyzed univariately. The results showed that most of the respondents were in the moderate category as many as 100 people (46.5%). In the category of good knowledge level as many as 82 people (38.1%) and the category of poor knowledge level as many as 33 people (15.3%). The level of knowledge of adolescents related to stunting still needs to be improved. Most respondents already understand the general knowledge of stunting, but lack understanding related to the long-term impact of stunting, how to prevent stunting in adolescence and specific nutritional handling of stunting in the family.
