Abstract

Software cost estimation is important for information systems management and is generally taught in software engineering courses especially to terms of the ever-increasing development of E-Government. A significant challenge for Software Sizing (SS) is to determine cost estimates based on TOR documents that do not yet contain complete Software Requirements Specifications (SRS). This study uses Function Points as one of the measurement methods that can make cost estimates and expert needs based on the desired functional system. On the other hand, there are cases where estimation needs after the SRS document have been made. Thus in this study, the authors discuss the implementation of SS based on TOR and SRS documents for E-Government. The results of this study indicate the closeness of the actual and estimated values of 81.9% for TOR and 93.4% for SRS.

Abstract

Education stakeholders in Indonesia have made rapid adjustments due to the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak that demanded social distancing to avoid it. Yayasan Pendidikan Budi Utomo Makassar also issued a policy that changed the learning methods from offline to online. The current research was aimed to find out the behaviors of students facing this sudden policy. It was conducted with a qualitative approach. Data were collected from observations of several Yayasan Pendidikan Budi Utomo Makassar’s students. The results showed that students obeyed the policy. Some of them learned and did the tasks as expected, but some others skipped the lessons, postponed doing assignments, and complained through the online communication media that had been provided.

Abstract

Implementation of computer vision can be done in the introduction of images or pictures of characters of numbers or letters. Based on this, then the computer vision can be used in the introduction of numbers on the electric meter or commonly called kWh meter. The underlying thing for the electric meter to be the object of research is to look at the situation, where the electric meter recorder keeps the record using the camera. Furthermore, the value shown on the electric meter will be inputted manually. Manual input requires a relatively long time because the amount of electricity meter input value is not small data. One method that can be used in recognizing the shape of the image in computer vision is the invariant moment. The results of this study indicate that the quality of the image gives effect, both in terms of the extraction of features and the accuracy of the recognition of the figure on the image of the electric meter. In addition to this, the threshold value of the euclidian distance method should also be used to limit the recognition process.

Abstract

Plagiarism is the use of data, language and writing without including the original author or source. The place where palgiate practice occurs most often is the academic environment. In the academic world, the most frequently plagiarized thing is scientific work, for example thesis. To minimize the practice of plagiarism, it is not enough to just remind students. Therefore we need a system or application that can help in measuring the level of similarity of student thesis proposals in order to minimize plagiarism practice. In computer science, the Rabin-Karp algorithm can be used in measuring the level of similarity of texts. The Rabin-Karp algorithm is a string matching algorithm that uses a hash function as a comparison between the search string (m) and substrings in text (n). The Rabin-Karp algorithm is a string search algorithm that can work for large data sizes. The test results show that the use of values on k-gram has an effect on the results of the measurement of similarity levels. In addition, it was also found that the use of the value 5 on k-gram was faster in executing than the values 4 and 6.

Abstract

Cloud-Based GIS development has been increasing rapidly since the need for big computing for online spatial data. Besides Google Earth Engine, there is actually another Cloud-Based GIS with similar features namely EOS Platform. This study aims to determine the EOS Platform utilization as a Cloud-Based GIS to Analyze Vegetation Greenness in Cirebon Regency, Indonesia. The selection of research location based on the various phenomenon of development in the Cirebon Regency. Vegetation greenness analysis using the NDVI algorithm which available on EOS Processing and Landsat series images are obtained from Land Viewer. Changes in vegetation greenness were analyzed descriptively from NDVI values in two periods at each pixel in the same location. The results of the analysis with the EOS Platform show a decreasing vegetation greenness in the western and peri-urban areas caused by LULC changes. From this analysis, it is proven that EOS Platform can be used for effective and efficient satellite image processing. Even so, some EOS Platform products with BETA version status still show some obstacles related to integration between products.
