Abstract

Education is a crucial thing and highly concerned all over the world. As one of the educational institutions, the university has currently applied many information systems because of several obstacles and problems. With the fast development of information and communication technology, the learning process also has improved, known as e-learning. Pertamina University is a private university located in Jakarta, which has six faculties and 15 study programs. Since its inception in 2016, Pertamina University has applied e-learning to its students. Based on the conceptual models developed by DeLone & McLean, this research aims to examine the success of the implementation of the e-learning system in Pertamina University with six variables, which are information quality, system quality, service quality, use, user satisfaction, and net benefit. The results of the study using 610 samples showed that the information quality variable did not affect the user satisfaction variable, which means that the quality of information on e-learning needed to be improved again to get a better response to user satisfaction.

Abstract

The challenge of implementing the online service public system from the user side of the system is the acceptance and use of technology. User characteristics for accepting or rejecting the use of the system for various reasons (digital literacy) for the adoption of new technologies such as the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. The research purpose is to offer a theoretical model of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to evaluate the use and acceptance of users to the OSS system at the Investment Service and One-Stop Integrated Service of the Samarinda City during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used to measure the variable effects using Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) on perceived ease of use (usability) and perceived usefulness, behavior intention to use, and Attitude toward Using the Online Single Submission system. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis H0 proposed is accepted. OSS system users find it useful to assist in completing work (licensing process). That perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness have a positive effect and significant on the Behaviour Intention to Use adopt the OSS system for users and have a goodness of fit.

Abstract

Data normalization is essential for all kinds of decision-making problems, and a lot of effort has been spent on the development of normalization models in multi-criteria decision making (MCDM), but despite all this, there is no definite answer to the question: Which is the most appropriate technique?. This paper compares the popular normalization techniques: Linear Normalization (LN) and Vector Normalization (VN) using VIsˌekriterijumsko KOmpromisno Rangiranje (VIKOR) Method. The beneficiaries dataset of learning quota was collected of 399 students sample through observation (drive-test measurements and online questionnaires) to obtain information on criteria data including attributes in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The ranking results for vector vs linear normalization show how ranking is affected. The difference in the selection of the best alternative (rank) shows that there are differences in vector and linear assessments that are influenced by the max-min criterion value which has an impact on the rank- sum results (benefit/cost). This test clearly shows how important it is to use an appropriate (normalized) representation of the model because there will often be a criterion where "the higher the better" while for others (cost) "the lower the better".

Abstract

A good Super Resolution (SR) algorithm is one of the key successes to filter frequency that creates noise to a picture. Previous research that has published was concluded the Camera SR is the best algorithm to filter this frequency based on their Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Mean Square Error (MSE) results. However, the current approach to achieving high resolution have not yielded enough signal to filter unwanted pixel. Hence, there is a need to find a better approach to those leads to higher resolution through lower noise reduction. To fulfill this need, this thesis proposed to utilize two proven SR algorithms; Gaussian Denoising and Kernel Blurring. This thesis will not only be obtaining these two existing algorithms in a stand-alone form but hence the combination of them (two combinations) will also be obtained as the new possible algorithms that can be utilized to filter frequency that create noise to a picture. To reach the research objective, the method that will be used is by training a total of four algorithms one by one to a public data set that contains 200 pictures and gets the PSNR and MSE results of each algorithm. Comprehensive experimental results show that all those four SR algorithms outperform previous SR algorithms in commonly used data set with variously higher PSNR by 21% and lower MSE by 5%.

Abstract

Multimedia services are one of the internet needs with high data traffic network count since 2019. Two of the multimedia services, Web Real-Time Communications (WebRTC) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), have been widely used in applications for conducting video conferencing. The main objective of this research is to analyze network performance by an application with a client-server for audio and video communications developed with WebRTC and SIP protocols. The SIP system uses the FreePBX server, and the softphone application uses Bria. Whereas WebRTC uses JavaScript with servers on Ubuntu using Node.js. The analysis application uses a star topology and runs on a local network using Wi-Fi. After testing, the results show that the throughput, jitter, and packet loss of WebRTC are better than SIP. This result is caused by several factors including the type of codec, the type of platform, and the way of signaling and routing of each protocol.
