Abstract

Arus perjalanan manusia antar ruang menjadi semakin meningkat jumlahnya sejak abad ke-19. Hal ini erat hubungannya dengan perkembangan teknologi modem. Dari perjalanan manusia yang beragam tujuannya itu satu di antaranya adalah pariwisata. Mobilitas semacam ini jelas mendatangkan keuntungan bagi kedua belah pihak. Objek pariwisata dapat berupa bentang alam seperti pegunungan yang indah, laut dan lain-lain., bentang budi daya seperti hutan wisata, bendungan dan lainlain. Aspek budaya misalnya adat dan upacara sakral, dapat menjadi daya tarik wisatawan. Potensi Objek wisata tersebut masih perIu dikembangkan, dan terkait dengan kepentingan tersebut adalah pengelola pariwisata yang meliputi pengelola fasilitas dan jasa, masyarakat setempat dan Pemda. Pengembangan kepariwisataan di Indonesia, apabila dibandingkan dengan apa yang telah dicapai oleh sejumlah negara Asia yang lain masih perlu mendapatkan penanganan yang serius, demi peningkatan devisa yang saat ini amat diperlukan.

Abstract

Abstract: Thematic Chemistry Learning in the General Chemistry Course as aProblem-Based Learning Model. This study aims to investigate how thematicchemistry learning can be implemented and how the learning quality can beimproved through thematic chemistry learning. This study was a quasiexperimentalstudy. The participants were 49 students in the Chemistry EducationDepartment attending the General Chemistry course. The focus was on thechemistry learning quality in terms of complex learning and information processingskill and students motivation and appreciation. The data were collected throughobservations and questionnaires. The results showed that the mean for complexlearning and information process skills was 2.49 or in the good category. The meanof students motivation improved from 75.6 to 78.3 and the result of t-test was t =9.39 (p = 0.000). Students appreciation varied; some showed positive appreciationand some showed negative appreciation.Keywords: thematic chemistry learning, problem based learning, learning quality

Abstract

Abstract: An Evaluation of Special Schools for Athletes (SMP/SMA Ragunan Jakarta). This evaluation study aims to obtain information about the implementation of the training program by the special schools for athletes (SMP/SMA Ragu- nan), academic and sports achievements, recruitment, motivation, social system, communication, information, and services for the students. The sample consisted of 121 students, specially recruited by the Ministry of Youths and Sports, and 16 coaches/assistants randomly selected. The data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documents, and were analyzed using the descriptive technique. The results show that the school is still needed in accordance with the needs for the sports development in the country, it has not possessed a clear institutional management system, and it is necessary to make new agreements in the form of MOU to regulate the school management by involving relevant institutions. Abstract

This research aims to investigate the process of recruitment, selection, and implementation of the Indonesian language assistant program of the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in Australian schools. The main purpose of this research is to find out the processing stages and to see strengths and weaknesses in each stage of the recruitment and selection process held at UPI. The data were collected through survey questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and documents of the Indonesian language assistants on the implementation of the program. The questionnaires and interviews were directed to the members of recruitment and selection team, alumni, and candidates of the Indonesian language assistants. A descriptive qualitative method was applied to explore and analyze the activities of the language assistants’ candidates and alumni in each of the overall stage processes. The results show that there are some stages of recruitment and selection process, which are then described in a figural process. The recruitment covered the submission of a curriculum vitae completed by relevant administrative documents to qualify for registering the program. The selection process required skills and competences of the candidates in Indonesian language, English, Indonesian and Australian cultural knowledge and skills and self-management. Accordingly, a system development for recruitment and selection process to result in more competent candidates for the Indonesian language assistants is urgently needed to elaborate the whole process in efficient manner.

Abstract

Advances in science the technology in general and thos related to transfer of informationa in particular have, besides positive effects, negative effects as well. Among the negative effects on society are moral and spiritual erosions in daily life. Education of values intended to be an effort to achieve the maintenance of an inner self sensitive to and filled with total comprehension of praiseworthy values has not been able to trnsfer the knowledge of values necessary for learners in dailing with the challenges facing them in their life to come. Success in education of values is especially important for the building of attitude and personality of prospective leaders.In orde to achieve deserable future leadership, it is necessary to establish in the profesional educatioan of leader candidates, especially in relation to their character building, some reorientation in their value education. Such reorientation can be in the form of, firs, enhancing the roles of the actors of education for all learners that will result in free dom in thinking, in being crative, in developing the imagination, and in materializing the values they believe to be good and true in thir life.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis interaksi antara kesiapan belajar, yang diukur melalui variabel self-efficacy, self-regulation, connectedness dan kepuasan belajar. Faktor-faktor ini dapat membuat mahasiswa merasakan kepuasan dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga akan bertahan menyelesaikan studi dan tidak putus kuliah di tengah jalan. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 59 responden yang berasal dari berbagai kota provinsi, kabupaten, dan kecamatan di Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner yang dikirimkan kepada mahasiswa melalui email, dengan tingkat pengembalian 29,4%. Data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi, dan ditemukan adanya hubungan antarvariabel yang positif dan signifikan, berkisar antara 0,25 sampai 0,78. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji klasik sebelum data dianalisis menggunakan analisis korelasi regresi. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa faktor self-efficacy, self-regulation, connectedness secara simultan memengaruhi kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap program belajar yang diikuti. Kepuasan mahasiswa diharapkan dapat membuat mahasiswa bertahan sampai ke akhir dan mencapai keberhasilan.Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa faktor connectedness secara partial tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan. Kata kunci: pembelajaran online, kesiapan belajar, efikasi diri, regulasi diri, keterhubungan, kepuasan INTERACTION BETWEEN LEARNING READINESS AND SATISFACTION AND THE LEARNING SERVICE IN A GRADUATE ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAM Abstract: This article intends to analyze the interaction among learning readiness, measured by selfefficacy, self-regulation, connectedness and learning satisfaction in online learning. Success in online learning requires a certain mindset and learning behavior necessary for independent learners, to persist and succeed in study. Fifty-nine (59) students from various parts of Indonesia constitute respondents of this research. A questionnaire was sent to 200 students by email, with a 29.4 % return rate. Correlation and regression analysis was employed to determine the effect of the research variables on learning satisfaction. The result shows a positive and significant correlation among students self-efficacy, selfregulation, connectedness and learning satiffaction, ranging from .25 to .78. Further analysis using multiple regression indicates a simultaneous significant effect of self-effectiveness, self-regulation and connectedness on learning satisfaction with effect size of 40%. However at individual level, the effect is not statistically significant. Suggestions are made in terms of developing and implementing online learning programs. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem e-learning dalam bentuk pembelajaran berbasis website. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan, yang melibatkan mahasiswa, guru SMK, dan dosen. Tahapan-tahapan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) analysis; (2) desain; (3) pengembangan; (4) implemementasi; dan (5) evaluasi. Data, yang dianalisis secara deskriptif, dikumpulkan melalui studi literature, reviu ahli, pengamatan, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan dasar kegiatan pembelajaran dalam mata kuliah pengaturan mesin listrik, adalah: (1) pengelolaan bahan pembelajaran; (2) proses pembelajaran; (3) penyajian materi; (4) dapat diunduh oleh siswa; (5) proses pembelajaran inkuiri; (6) proses evaluasi; dan (7) bahan tersebut dibuat dalam bentuk animasi.Kata Kunci: pembelajaran berbasis website, pengaturan mesin listrikDEVELOPING THE WEBSITE-BASED LEARNING FOR THE ELECTRICAL MACHINE REGULATION COURSEAbstract: This study was aimed at developing an e-learning system in the form of website-based learning. This was a research and development study, involving students, vocational high school teachers, and lecturers. The study stages were: (1) analysis; (2) design; (3) development; (4) implementation; and (5) evaluation. The data, analyzed descriptively, were collected through literature study, expert review, observation, interview, questionnaires, and documentation. The analysis showed the basic needs of learning activities in electric machine regulations, namely (1) the management of learning materials;(2) the learning process; (3) the presentation of the material; (4) downloadability by students; (5) inquiry learning process; (6) evaluation process; and (7) the material is made in the form of animation.Keywords: web-based learning in electric machine regulation

Abstract

This article is about adescriptive-qualitative research made to identify and describe the constraints of affective learning in the religious education affiliated to Islam at senior high schools in the city ofYogyakarta and the alternative strategies ofproblem:solving used by teachers of the religion in overcoming the constraints. The research data were collected from the whole population of such teachers at both state and private senior high schools all over the city by using questionnaires and interview guidelines.The research findings indicate that, in conducting affective teaching, those teachers are faced with numerous constraints related to their students' self-esteem, interest, motivation, attitude, value system, and faith. The constraints may be internal or external in origin, that is, caused by factors coming from the students themselves or by those coming from elsewhere. The teachers' efforts to overcome the constraints may also be internal in type, made to solve problems caused by factors of the first type above, or external in type, made to solvt: problems caused by factors of the second type above which have a share in causing the constraints external in origin. In addition, the findings also indicate that, in general, the teachers still lack fullunderstanding of and are not yet fully aware of the model of affective

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the attitudes of the students in the Faculty of Sports Sciences, the Yogyakarta State University, towards attempts to prevent traffic accidents. This study was a descriptive study on attitudes. The research population consisted of the students from both regular and non-regular programs in all the study programs, namely PJKR, PKO, Ikora, and PGSD study programs. The sample consisted of 340 students out of 2,447 students, selected by using the proportional sampling technique. The data were collected by using the Likert scale in which each item had four options. The data were analyzed by using the descriptive quantitative technique employing the percentage. The results of the study showed that the students attitudes towards attempts to prevent traffic accidents were good enough (79.58%). This indicated that the students had a great concern in the victims of traffic accidents and had a high motivation to be involved in attempts to prevent and deal with traffic accidents.
