Abstract

Aggressive behavior is an action which aims to hurt or to injure someone else. Aggressive behavior could appear at any age, without exception for the adolescent. The adolescent is described as a storm and stress period, that is the emotional turbulence that accompanied by the decrease of ability to manage their emotion with the result that potentially to form an aggressive behavior. One of the factor that cause aggressive behavior is the authoritarian parenting style. The authoritarian parenting style done by the parents can bring some impacts for the children. The children which always prosecuted to do their parents’ wish will feel frustrated which makes them to act freely and behave aggressively when they are outside home ( Sarwono,1988).This research is purposed to know the significant relationship between tendency of authoritarian parenting style with indication of aggressive behavior in adolescents. The subject of this research is 258 adolescents at the age of 13 and 18 years old. The method used in this research is quantitative methods with correlational approach. The sampling technique used is multistage random sampling . The measuring tool that used is authoritative upbringing scale (31 aitem; rxx` = 0,915) and aggressive behavior scale (39 aitem; rxx` = 0,902).The main data in this research is analyzed by using spearman nonparametric correlation analysis with correlation value 0,314 and probability value 0,000. The supporting data is analyzed by using Independent Sample Test Analysis to see the difference of aggressive behaviour if it is observed from the age and the gender. The result of this research which analyzed by using Independent Sample Test indicate that there is no difference of aggressive behaviour based on the gender and age of research subject. Abstract

Behavior reflects the aggressiveness of the individual, as often occurs in Indonesia. One of many events has reflected the aggressiveness of the Army’s members. These events make the people become restless. A member of the Army in a period of education is trained hard, discipline, and will obey the command, in order to be prepared to maintain the sovereignty of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). This situation is not only giving an impact to the members of the Army, but also for their social interaction. A member of the army must be ready placed anywhere and anytime accordance with the instructions given by the institution. One of the factors that can affect the aggressiveness is adaptability. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between adjustment and aggressiveness to the Army KODAM Members IX/Udayana, in Bali.Subjects of this study were 439 members of the Army KODAM IX/Udayana in Bali which consists of eight entities supervised by the institution KODAM IX/Udayana. The instrument of this research is the scale of adjustment and scale of aggressiveness that has tested the validity and reliability of the scale and has a scale adjustment to the value of ? = 0.856; aggressiveness scale with the value ? = 0.913.The analysis showed the P value or Sig. 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that there is a significant relationship between the adjustment to the aggressiveness of the Army KODAM IX/Udayana members in Bali. Score correlation coefficient between the two variables showed R= -0.562 which means that the strength of the relationship between the two variables in a medium category, as the value of r lies in the range 0.400-0.599, and has a negative relationship or in opposite directions. Abstract

Psychological well-being is a life that goes well, and is a combination of feeling good and functioning themselves effectively (Huppert, 2009). Humans in every age group would want to achieve psychological well-being during their lifetime, as well as adolescencts. Adolescencts can achieve psychological well-being when they are actively develop positive behaviors during adolescence. One of the positive behavior that should be developed during adolescence is prosocial behavior. Prosocial behavior involve altruism, so that adolescencts who can show helping behavior and give positive consequences for others, are expected to help adolescencts feel good about themself. This study aimed to determine the correlational between prosocial behavior with psychological well-being in adolescent in the city of Denpasar.The sampling technique used in this study is cluster random sampling. Subjects of this research are 214 adolescents from age 15-17 years old (m=91, f=123). Researcher deploy two scales, the psychological well-being scale modified from the Scales of Psychological Well-Being (Ryff, 1995) consisted of 30 item with a reliability coefficient of 0,898 and prosocial behavior scale consisted of 68 item with a reliability coefficient of 0,958. The data obtained in this study were analyzed by simple regression analysis to examine correlational between prosocial behavior and psychological well-being.Regression analysis results t value 11,203 and P = 0,000 ( P < 0,05). It means prosocial behavior and psychological well-being are significantly and positively correlated, when prosocial behavior is high they will have a high score on psychological well-being too. Coefficient of determination equal to 0,372 indicates prosocial behavior contribution to psychological well-being is 37,2%, and 62,8% was contributed by other factors such as age, socioeconomic level, social relations and personality factors. Abstract

Voluntary activities are positive activities to facilitating the youth energy for psychologically health and have positive identity formation and predictors of psychological well-being (Bruns, 2012). These are appeal activities for youth. In fact, so much youth activity made a lot of volunteers who have been trained doesn?t participate in voluntary activities. However, there are some youth volunteers who have many years of volunteering spend some time to doing voluntary activities (Dewiyanti, 26 Oktober 2014). The amount of contributed time to voluntary activities may be related with self-acceptance, personal growth, positive relationship with others, environmental mastery, autonomy and purpose of life, there are part of psychological well-being. Purpose of this research are to know the correlation between the frequency of voluntary activities and psychological well-being and factors of that results in youth volunteers in Bali, also want to know the meaning of voluntary activities for youth volunteers in Bali.Methods of this research is quantitative combination in compelementary method (n = 398; age 13-22 years) and qualitative (n = 19 of 398). Spearman's test of quantitative data showed no significant correlation between the frequency of voluntary activities and psychological well-being of youth volunteers in Bali (Men rxy= 0,022;P=0,844, Women rxy= 0,033;P=0,556) because of early adolescence and frequency of voluntary activities can?t describe quality of voluntary activities. The meaning of voluntary activities by youth volunteer in Bali are a social identity, role and self esteem. Results of this research about factors of psychological well-being youth volunteer such as ages, quality voluntary activities, non-voluntary activities and meaning of voluntary activities will be discussed later. Abstract

Self discipline is important for students. Students who have high self discipline will take action based on social norms or rules that have been created. Self discipline is influenced by external factors and internal factors. Authoritative parenting style is one of external factors that influence to change of behavior, while one of internal factors can be drive human behavior is emotional intelligence. This study aims to determine whether there is the role of authoritative parenting style and emotional intelligence to self discipline students. Subjects in this study were student of senior high school grade XI science at Santo Yoseph Denpasar. Instruments in this study is authoritative parenting scale, emotional intelligence scale, and self discipline scale. The results of this study showed a regression coefficient (R) of 0.507 (F=29.538,P<0.05), this means that authoritative parenting style and emotional intelligence contribute to self discipline. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.325, which means that the authoritative parenting style and emotional intelligence have effective contribution of 32.5% to self discipline. Emotional intelligence have standardized beta coefficient of 0.508 (P<0.05) and authoritative parenting style have standardized beta coefficient of 0.196 (P<0.05). Emotional intelligence have more contribute than authoritative parenting style to self discipline. Keywords : Authoritative Parenting Style, Emotional Intelligence, Self Discipline

Abstract

The tourism sector is a favorite and seeded sector in Bali. That situation make many hotels in Bali compete with other hotels to give best service and best quality accommodation for tourist who came to Bali. In hotels, to give best service for tourist, the hotels need employee who has good skill and strong organizational commitment. Beside of that, how the employee have a perception about need for affiliation being important factor to interact with coworker in organization for reach the goal of hotels. The purpose of this research is to find the relationship between the perception of the need for affiliation with organizational commitment at hotels in Bali.This research use the quantitative method. The sampling technique that used in this research is a cluster sampling. This research use 128 respondent who work in hotel. Measure instrument in this research use scale perception of the need for affiliation with 59 item total and scale of organizational commitment with 42 item total. The coefficient of reliability for scale perception of the need for affiliation is 0,950 and for scale of organizational commitment is 0,958.Data in this research analyzed by simple linier regression with computer software SPSS version 15.0. The result of this research obtained that correlation coefficient is 0,715 with probability score is 0,000 (p<0,05). Based on the result can indicated there are significant relationship between the perception of the need for affiliation with organizational commitment. Determination coefficient (R2) which obtained in this research is 0,511 can be interpreted that perception of the need for affiliation have 51,1% can explain toward commitment organizational.
