Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies is revolutionising educational psychology, enhancing both personalised learning and mental health support. This narrative review explores these advancements through multidisciplinary perspectives, highlighting their impact on educational practices and student well-being. AI tools such as adaptive learning platforms and chatbots enable tailored educational interventions, improving engagement and academic outcomes. Similarly, digital mental health technologies, including therapy apps and telehealth services, provide scalable solutions for addressing psychological challenges. Despite their benefits, challenges such as algorithmic bias, data privacy concerns, and unequal access persist, particularly in low-resource settings. These issues highlight the need for ethical guidelines, infrastructural improvements, and culturally sensitive innovations. The review emphasises the critical role of multidisciplinary collaboration among educators, psychologists, and technologists to address these challenges effectively. Recommendations include developing culturally relevant tools, investing in educator training, and fostering interdisciplinary research. By leveraging AI and digital technologies responsibly, educational psychology can advance inclusive, equitable, and sustainable practices, enhancing both learning outcomes and mental health support for diverse student populations.

Abstract

Indonesia has a lot of swamp land that is still classified as marginal and has not been optimally utilized for its development. One of the efforts that can be made to increase the productivity of Lebak swamp land is by providing amelioran and mikorza biofertilizer. Red chili is a plant that can be cultivated in swampland. The purpose of the study was to determine the growth response and high level of resilience of red chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.) by applying a combination of mycorrhizal and amelioran biofertilizers in shallow groundwater table conditions in the early generative phase. This research was carried out in the Laboratory and Experimental Garden of the Agrotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Plant and Animal Sciences, Bina Insan University, from July to November 2024. The research design applied was a two-factor complete randomized design with the treatment of the first factor of shallow groundwater level condition (S), the second factor of a combination of ameliorant and mycorrhizal biofertilizer (M). The results showed that the treatment of shallow groundwater surface conditions had a significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, root length, and dry weight of chili plants, while the treatment of amelioran and mycorrhizal biofertilizer showed no significant effect on all observation variables. Shallow groundwater table conditions and the combination of ameliorant + mycorrhizal biofertilizer showed that the results of different interactions were very real only at plant height.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea, or menstrual pain, is a common issue among women, with severity ranging from mild to severe. This study investigates the effectiveness of warm compress therapy and murottal Al-Qur'an therapy in alleviating dysmenorrhea among eighth-grade female students at SMPIT Hikmatul Fadhillah Medan in 2024. Using a quantitative approach, this quasi-experimental research employed a two-group posttest-only control design. The study involved 40 female students selected through purposive sampling, divided into two groups: 20 received warm compress therapy, and 20 underwent murottal Al-Qur'an therapy. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods with the Mann-Whitney test. The findings revealed that warm compress therapy effectively reduced dysmenorrhea pain (p-value = 0.000, p<0.05), as did murottal Al-Qur'an therapy (p-value = 0.001, p<0.05). Furthermore, a significant difference was observed in the effectiveness of the two therapies, with a p-value of 0.001 (p<0.05). In conclusion, both warm compress and murottal Al-Qur'an therapies are effective in reducing dysmenorrhea, but their levels of effectiveness differ significantly. These findings offer valuable insights into alternative methods for managing menstrual pain in adolescents.

Abstract

This article explores how social media users leverage pragmatic cues, such as emojis, hashtags, and other forms of non-verbal communication, to convey emotional and contextual nuances in online interactions. The study aims to understand the role of these elements in shaping meaning and enriching communication on digital platforms. This study employed a qualitative research approach, utilizing content analysis as the primary method for data collection and analysis. By analyzing various social media posts and comments, the research highlights the significance of pragmatic cues in enhancing user engagement and facilitating a deeper understanding of messages. The research emphasizes the significant impact of emojis and hashtags on communication in social media. A large majority of users use emojis to express emotions, which can boost engagement by up to 30%. Emojis add emotional depth, with 75% of respondents viewing messages with a (worried) emoji as more serious and 80% finding those with a (smile) emoji funnier. Hashtags enhance visibility and interaction, as 65% of tweets with hashtags receive retweets compared to only 30% without them. Context is crucial, with 80% of posts related to social movements receiving positive comments when paired with relevant hashtags. The use of GIFs and emojis also increases user engagement, with GIFs achieving a 40% higher interaction rate than text-only posts. However, messages lacking these non-verbal elements often lead to misunderstandings, with 70% of conversations experiencing confusion without them. The study highlights cultural differences in emoji interpretation, indicating that meanings can vary significantly across cultures.

Abstract

Digital marketing has become a new civilization of this era. With internet users reaching 185.3 million in Indonesia, more than half of them are online market consumers. While consumer satisfaction remains a key pillar of a business, it is also crucial in digital marketing. This satisfaction presents a challenge that can still be realized even in online buying and selling processes. Meanwhile, brand image is a factor that can influence consumer satisfaction, as a positive image built from a brand will stick in the minds of consumers. Similarly, service quality can serve as a means to achieve consumer satisfaction. However, these variables need to be examined when implemented in the digital or online space. This research aims to analyze the influence of Digital Marketing and Brand Image on Consumer Satisfaction through Service Quality. This quantitative research uses SEM (Structural Equation Model) methodology with 125 samples selected using purposive sampling from Starbucks consumers at Bintaro Plaza. The results of the regression test show that the digital marketing variable does not have an effect on service quality with a probability value of 0.894 > 0.05. The brand image variable has a direct effect on service quality with a probability of 0.00 < 0.05. The digital marketing variable has a direct effect on consumer satisfaction with a probability of 0.002 < 0.05. The brand image variable does not have an effect on consumer satisfaction because the probability is 0.44 > 0.05, and the service quality variable has an effect on consumer satisfaction because the probability is 0.003 < 0.05. The results of the indirect effect test show that digital marketing does not influence consumer satisfaction through service quality with a probability of 0.894 > 0.05; however, service quality can strongly intervene in the relationship between digital marketing and consumer satisfaction with a probability of 0.022 < 0.05.

Abstract

Since 2014 Universitas Sahid Surakarta has accepted deaf students. However, starting in 2018, communication problems emerged in the delivery of material from lecturers to deaf students. This is because: 1. 90% of deaf students in Visual Communication Design cannot read written sentences that are too long and 2. Deaf students' digital applications to translate the voice of the lecturer when explaining do not function properly. This study aims to produce icon designs for lecture material infographics for deaf students of Visual Communication Design Study Program, Universitas Sahid Surakarta and test the feasibility of the design. Therefore, the research method is carried out using qualitative methods. By using data triangulation in conducting data validation. This is done based on the problems that arise, so it is necessary to find a cause-and-effect relationship by looking at the symptoms, conditions, and phenomena that occur. The results achieved are visual strategies in the form of icons from representative words/sentences arranged to form infographics from information about lecture material. This is done because the way of understanding communication, one way of learning language for the deaf is by maximizing the sense of sight as a tool in receiving information stimuli through visual language. One of them is using visual language in the form of infographics that are formed through visual strategies according to the information needs of deaf students in the Visual Communication Design study program.

Abstract

Traditional Javanese architecture, especially joglo houses, reflect the harmonious relationship between humans, nature, and God through designs that are loaded with symbolism and philosophy. The joglo house not only serves as a place to live, but also as a space for religious and social rituals, reflecting the spiritual values and belief system of the Javanese people. In this article, we discuss the elements of joglo house design, such as soko guru, towering roofs, and spatial layouts that depict social and spiritual hierarchies. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature studies to analyze how traditional Javanese architectural design reflects the cultural values and spirituality of its people. The results of the study show that the preservation of joglo houses as a cultural heritage is very important, but it faces great challenges due to modernization and urbanization. Preservation efforts through cultural education, culture-based tourism, and cross-sectoral cooperation are relevant solutions to maintain the continuity of this traditional architecture.
