Abstract

Sexual violence in early childhood represents a multifaceted and urgent issue that demands systematic attention within educational and familial domains. This study aims to map the scholarly landscape concerning sex education, parental roles, and sexual violence, with a specific focus on how parental educational levels influence early childhood prevention efforts. Using a bibliometric analysis approach, data were extracted from 996 journal articles published between 2020 and 2022 through Publish or Perish software and subsequently analyzed using VOS Viewer. The analysis identified key thematic clusters, with parental education, school, and sex education emerging as the most frequently discussed topics. The results reveal a significant research gap in linking sex education with variables such as disability, child age, and socio-demographic factors. Furthermore, the findings underscore that sex education remains inadequately integrated into early childhood development, with many parents and educators perceiving the topic as taboo. This insufficient exposure contributes to children's vulnerability to sexual violence. The study highlights the necessity for more research exploring educators’ and parents’ roles in sex education, especially in relation to educational attainment. It calls for interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance sex education strategies and foster a culture of openness and protection for children.

Abstract

Menarche marks a critical transition in a girl's life, signaling the onset of biological and reproductive maturity, and, from a fiqh perspective, the entry into the mukallaf stage of religious responsibility. However, this biological milestone is accompanied by significant physical, emotional, and social changes that necessitate appropriate educational interventions. This qualitative study aimed to explore behavioral changes observed in elementary school students following menarche and to identify educational programs needed to support their development. Data were collected through teacher interviews and focus group discussions across six elementary schools in Pekalongan City, Central Java, Indonesia, and analyzed using thematic content analysis. Findings revealed that post-menarche students exhibited increased attention-seeking behaviors towards the opposite sex, heightened self-focus on physical appearance, and active engagement on social media. However, schools lacked targeted educational programs addressing menstruation, reproductive health, and emotional development. This study emphasizes the urgent need for structured educational and counseling programs that integrate biological, psychological, and religious dimensions to support students during menarche, promoting healthy development and well-being. Collaborative efforts between schools, health departments, and educational authorities are recommended to ensure holistic student support.

Abstract

The formation of gender ideology can occur at various levels, and allows it to be socialized through social and institutional institutions at various levels. One of them is a university where students learn to research and study Islamic law. Higher education is one of the vital media to build a gender responsive culture. The focus in this study is to analyze gender ideology that influences students in researching and writing scientific papers, and how gender construction in Islamic legal thinking is in student work. Based on this study using a qualitative-phenomelologic approach and descriptive-analytic in nature, it was found out that, first, the gender ideology of students in conducting research and writing scientific papers is justice and gender awareness, secondly, the construction of Islamic legal thought in Postgraduates can be grouped according to two; 1) the orientation or direction of graduate student gender studies is more dominated by contextual or applied-empirical studies than textual or normative-legalistic studies. 2) the direction of analysis of gender studies is more defined as a study "about" women, not a study with a gender perspective or a study that uses gender as an analytical tool. Even though the two have fundamental differences, the difference is in the way of viewing used, not just gender, but more about the roles and functions between men and women.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe problems related to livelihood according to the perspective of Contemporary Mufassir. Scholars agree that a living is borne by the husband in meeting household needs, but in the contemporary era it is often found that women work outside the home as the main support for breadwinners in meeting household needs. Some say that it is natural for women to stay at home, but we often encounter the phenomenon of women as breadwinners outside the home. The author wants to examine the issue of subsistence from the perspective of Contemporary Mufassir, Sheikh Mutawalli Sya'rowi, M. Quraish Shihab and Buya Hamka. The writing method uses descriptive qualitative research with the type of Library Research. The primary source comes from the book of Tafsir As-Sya'rawi, Tafsir Al-Mishbah, Tafsir Al-Azhar. Data collection techniques from documentation with qualitative content analysis as the analysis technique. The results of the research in general show that the three mufassirs allow women to work for a living. As-Sya'rawi and Quraish Shihab both clearly stated the permissibility of working for women. As for Buya Hamka, he allowed it, but he seemed to emphasize more on women to stay at home.

Abstract

Recently, "beauty as it is" has been featured in commercials for beauty products, movies, and music videos. This concept arose from a lengthy conversation about normative beauty, according to which a beautiful lady is always characterized by having fair complexion, straight hair, and a fresh face. This study, in response to these developments, challenges if, in the manufacture of "beauty as it is," capitalists continue to use women's bodies as commodities instruments, not only beauty and sexiness but also women's flaws and powerlessness. In more detail, this study employs a critical paradigm, Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, and Stuart Hall's representation theory to deconstruct the denotation, connotation, and myths that form in the music video for Yura-Yunita-Tutur Batin. Findings of this study indicates that women who do not adhere to beauty norms would face prejudice. The prevalence of beauty privilege is damaging not just to women who are far from beauty standards, but also to gorgeous women, who are regarded as having beauty capital alone. The female body is once again objectified in this video. Women's physical appearances are shown in a variety of ways by expressing themselves as they are, but the music video nonetheless builds conventional standards of beauty. The body positivity campaign resulted in poisonous body positivity, and women supporting women was only carried out by women with the same physical issues, while the rest depicted women dropping other women.

Abstract

This research explores the interpretation of Quran verses that mention women's role in the public sphere using a thematic approach. The study aims to synchronize these verses with resilient verses and their components, as women who dedicate themselves to the public and domestic domains require resilience. The method used is qualitative-descriptive, qualitative-descriptive namely the Analysis of the data obtained (in the form of words, images or behaviour), and not expressed in the form of numbers or statistical figures, but by providing an explanation or description of the situation or conditions studied in the form of a narrative description. It can be emphasized that descriptive qualitative is a research method that utilizes qualitative data and is described in descriptive terms. In this research, thematic interpretation is applied to identify verses related to the topic and classify them. The study reveals that the understanding of the role of women in the public sphere is from the perspective of cum Maghza, meaning that there is no division or role of patents between men and women's duties, and men and women can synergize to carry out their duties. Resilience is achieved by applying the components of resilience, including emotional regulation, desire control, optimism, causality analysis, empathy, self-efficacy, and positive achievement, along with three additional T's: Takhalli, Tahalli, and Tajalli.

Abstract

This article aims to explore women's leadership within the Indonesian context, focusing on contemporary discourse on interpretation and fiqh siyasah. This study seeks to understand how the dynamics of thought and the interpretation of religious texts in Indonesia relate to the position of women in the political sphere. The research employs a qualitative approach using text analysis and discourse analysis. Data is collected from various sources, including relevant literature, policy documents, and the experiences of female leaders involved in leadership roles. This methodology is designed to uncover diverse perspectives on women's leadership and how interpretations of tafsir and fiqh siyasah can be applied in a modern context. The findings of the research indicate that although traditional interpretations of Islamic texts often limit women's roles in leadership, contemporary movements and reinterpretations of fiqh siyasah are challenging these norms. The study identifies significant barriers to women's leadership, including socio-cultural attitudes and institutional biases. It concludes that changes in mindset and policy are crucial for fostering an inclusive political environment that recognizes and promotes women's leadership. Thus, the progressive reinterpretation of religious texts and the development of a more inclusive contemporary fiqh siyasah regarding women's leadership is essential to ensure that women's contributions to politics are grounded in a strong legal religious standing
