Abstract

The needs of modern consumers are often influenced by capitalist lifestyles that complicate the understanding between needs and wants. Impulse buying is a common phenomenon that raises questions about the compatibility of this consumptive practice with Islamic teachings that emphasize balance and justice. This study aims to analyze impulse buying tendencies from an Islamic perspective. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this research analyzes various relevant literatures to understand the factors that drive impulse buying and its implications in the context of Islamic values. The results show that impulse buying often violates the principle of istishab (continuity) in Islam and can lead to unhealthy consumptive behavior that is financially and spiritually detrimental. Therefore, a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings and values and the application of these practices in daily life is expected to help Muslims overcome impulse buying tendencies and develop more balanced and responsible consumption patterns.

The results of the literature review show that blockchain technology has great potential in overcoming the challenges of transparency, risk awareness and efficiency in the Islamic financial system. Case studies show examples of projects that integrate blockchain technology, such as a sharia interest rate platform, a price disclosure system, and a sharia digital payment solution. However, there are still challenges that must be addressed, such as protocol standardization, regulations and current technological limitations. This research provides a basis for developing strategies for using blockchain technology that are more effective in supporting the growth of the Islamic finance industry.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to examine: How Zakat is distributed at LAZISNU Kebumen in an effort to improve the welfare of the people of Kebumen. This research is field research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by collecting literature data from several literatures related to the issues raised, which basically differ in interpretation in understanding each division, and then the author examines and analyzes the existing data. Data analysis techniques are carried out by data reduction, which means summarizing, selecting, and sorting out the main things, focusing on important things, and looking for themes and patterns. The results of this study show that the pattern of distribution of Zakat funds in LAZISNU Kebumen is consumption management and productive management of Zakat. The consumptive model of distributing ZIS funds is not only staples but consumptive goods that are not only eaten but also dead assets cannot increase. While the productive model is usually distributed for business development, capital, and entrepreneurial training. The distribution of zakat to improve the welfare of the Kebumen community can be seen when a recipient of zakat has improved his economic level and can turn into a muzaki, no longer a mustahik.

Abstract

An unhealthy oligopoly will give rise to business competition for economists. For economists, the definition of Oligopoly is a form of imperfect market competition where the supply of products is controlled by a number of companies. Typically, the number of companies is more than two but less than ten. Every time a company changes its price, it will be considered by other companies because of mutual trust in the market. This research is literature research using a qualitative approach, namely by reviewing literature books in accordance with the theory discussed, especially regarding the scope of Oligopoly and unhealthy business competition. This qualitative method describes existing phenomena or realities, both natural and human engineered. The research results show that the phenomenon of oligopoly and unhealthy business competition is important to understand in the context of the development of the business world. Oligopoly, as a form of imperfect market, has several negative impacts on society, especially related to rising prices of basic necessities and a lack of flexibility to compete. However, oligopoly markets also have advantages, such as price stability which tends to be maintained, product innovation and efficiency in the processing process.

Abstract

In the context of growing globalization, understanding the concepts of halal and haram in Islamic economics is crucial. This concept functions as a guide to determine the legality of actions and reflects the moral and ethical values in Islamic teachings. Halal means “permitted” and haram means “prohibited,” both of which underlie Muslims' economic decisions. The main sources of this concept are the Koran and Hadith, but its application is increasingly complex along with innovations in financial instruments and market developments. This type of research is library research with a qualitative approach. This research pays more attention to the concepts of halal and haram in the lives of Muslims which are clearly outlined in the Naqli proposition. The research results show that Islam teaches that the rules of halal (mubah) and haram are not determined by the needs of individuals or society. Halal has become an integral part of the value framework in Islamic science, functioning as a guideline that directs the behavior of the community. Thus, it can be concluded that halal philosophy includes several aspects. From an ontological perspective, halal is related to understanding the nature of something. From an epistemological perspective, halal rules are related to efforts to understand Islam correctly through a proper study process. This includes efforts or "ijtihad" to apply halal rules in sharia economic transactions. Meanwhile, from an axiological perspective, halal rules play an important role in providing appropriate guidance for humans in living their lives.

The research results show that consumption of halal products is expected to increase significantly, reaching a total of US$282 billion, which marks a 53% increase in consumption value in 2020. The food and beverage sector is the largest contributor to this growth, with a projected increase of US$135 billion in 2020 to US$204 billion in 2025. Apart from that, the media and recreation sector also shows significant growth. Even though the tourism sector has experienced negative impacts due to the pandemic, it is hoped that this sector will recover along with the recovery of the post-pandemic tourism industry.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic Supply Theory within an MSME in Kediri, specifically Warung Geprek Bu Ida. Supply theory from an Islamic economic perspective emphasizes the principles of justice (al−′adl), social responsibility, and environmental sustainability, which serve as the foundation for production activities and pricing. The research employed a field study with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data sources were obtained through direct observation and interviews with the business owner. The study concludes that the Islamic Supply Theory is effectively implemented by the informal MSME Warung Geprek Bu Ida. Its implementation is based on three ethical dimensions: justice (al−′adl) and Maslahah in pricing (by maintaining small margins); informal Social Responsibility (R) in the form of affordable prices as a community contribution; and the internalization of External Costs through Khilafah (stewardship) awareness in waste management. Overall, this case study demonstrates that spiritual motivation (Falah) is the key variable shaping the Islamic supply curve at the micro-business level.
