Abstract

Tourism based on local culture is one of the important approaches in the management of the tourism sector in Bulukumba Regency, especially in Kajang District. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of local culture-based tourism policies in the digital era and their impact on cultural preservation and tourism development. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the local culture-based tourism policy in Kajang District has shown significant progress in cultural preservation, although it still faces challenges related to the acceptance of digital technology by indigenous peoples. The use of digital technology can accelerate the promotion of local culture, but it also risks leading to the commercialization of culture that is not in accordance with the original values. Therefore, wise policies are needed to integrate digital technology in tourism management without sacrificing cultural preservation. This research is important as a basis for developing more adaptive and inclusive policies in advancing culture-based tourism in the area.

Abstract

The internship activities were conducted at Meranti Pharmacy for one month to review and perform pharmaceutical services according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 73 of 2016, which aims to improve the quality of patient life. This regulation served as the foundation for comparing standard provisions with the actual pharmaceutical services provided at Meranti Pharmacy. The evaluation encompassed two main areas: managerial activities and clinical pharmacy services. Managerial activities included the management of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and consumable materials, covering aspects such as planning, procurement, receipt, storage, destruction, control, recording, and reporting. Clinical pharmacy services involved prescription review, dispensing, Drug Information Services (DIS), and monitoring of adverse drug reactions (ADR). The findings indicate that Meranti Pharmacy demonstrated strong compliance with pharmaceutical service standards, particularly in providing patient counseling across regulated categories, including patients with special conditions, long-term therapy/chronic diseases, use of drugs with special instructions, narrow therapeutic index, polypharmacy, and low adherence levels. The study concludes that the Managerial and Pharmaceutical Service System at Meranti Pharmacy aligns with the Minister of Health Regulation Number 73 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Pharmacies.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the Wonderful Indonesia website (www.indonesia.travel) in supporting digital tourism marketing and its impact on foreign tourist arrivals. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative approach, the research analyzes the website's performance using digital marketing tools, specifically app.neilpatel.com, to evaluate key metrics such as website traffic, SEO performance, and keyword rankings. The study reveals that the website has achieved significant organic traffic, generating 6 million organic visitors and maintaining a strong domain authority score of 69. Popular keywords including "Indonesia," "Labuan Bajo," "Sanur Bali," and "Bromo Mountain" rank highly in search results, driving substantial traffic to the site. Analysis of monthly traffic data from September to December 2024 shows a gradual decrease in visits from 11.5 million to 6.4 million, although the website maintained significant engagement throughout this period. The research correlates these digital metrics with data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), which reported corresponding declines in foreign tourist arrivals during the same period. Despite the website's high traffic and strong digital presence, the findings suggest that digital marketing efforts alone may not be sufficient to convert website visits into increased tourist arrivals, indicating the need for an integrated approach to digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Takabonerate National Park is one of the marine conservation areas that has great potential in the development of marine tourism in South Sulawesi. However, the increase in tourism activities in this region presents challenges in maintaining environmental sustainability and local community involvement. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of marine tourism management policies in Takabonerate National Park, especially in terms of policy implementation, community participation, and its impact on the environment and socio-economy. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that although management policies have been prepared normatively through zoning and visit regulations, in practice there are still obstacles such as limited human resources, weak supervision, lack of community involvement in decision-making, and uneven distribution of economic benefits. In addition, uncontrolled tourism activities have the potential to damage the marine ecosystem which is the main attraction of this region. Based on these findings, it is suggested the need to strengthen institutional capacity, increase coordination between agencies, active community involvement, and develop more inclusive and sustainable management policies. With this approach, it is hoped that marine tourism management in Takabonerate National Park can provide economic benefits while maintaining optimal environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study investigated the impact of recruitment activities on hotel performance in Anambra and Delta States, Nigeria. A multi-stage sampling technique was used: two states were purposively chosen, followed by the selection of 30 functional hotels. Employees were randomly sampled across five departments including housekeeping, front office, food and beverages, maintenance and engineering, and security which totaling 2,250 workers. Using Taro Yamane’s formula, 321 full-time staff were sampled. Data were analyzed using Pearson product-moment correlation. Results showed a significant (p<0.01) relationship between recruitment activities and sales volume, cost control, and labour turnover. Effective recruitment enhances performance by ensuring alignment between employees and organizational needs. Selecting suitable candidates improves productivity, efficiency, and retention, fostering workforce stability. The study recommends that hotels strengthen their recruitment processes through rigorous screening, structured interviews, and competency-based assessments to ensure candidates’ skills and values fit organizational requirements. Strategic recruitment practices will enhance overall hotel performance and competitiveness in the hospitality industry.
