Abstract

PT. Perta Daya Gas is a joint venture subsidiary of PT. Pertamina Gas and PT. Indonesia Power. PT. Perta Daya Gas has 3 work units, namely PT. Perta Daya Gas Tambak Lorok - Semarang, PT. Perta Daya Gas Pesanggaran Unit 1 & 2 - Bali, and PT. Perta Daya Gas Gas Pipeline Sorong Unit which is tasked with providing natural gas transportation services from the MRS connection point of PT. Malamoi Olom Wobok to the 50 MW PLTMG MPP - Sorong with letter instructions No. 5195 / 09 / IP / 2019 dated December 30, 2019 regarding gas supply. This practical work aims to determine the gas transportation system used, the type of flow, and the effect of headloss on the pressure drop in the PT. pipeline. Perta Daya Gas Unit Gas Pipeline Sorong with the results of the natural gas transportation system used is an underground pipeline with a distance of 3.7 km and a turbulent flow type with an average Reynolds number of 19824.11, and major and minor headloss in October reached 20.72 m and 3.87 m, while the average headloss in the previous 3 months reached 14.17 m and 6.38 m caused by the pressure difference between upstream (PT. Malamoi Olom Wobok) and downstream (PT. Perta Daya Gas Unit Gas Pipeline Sorong) as well as the existence of predictive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM), resulting in a pressure drop in October at each headloss reaching 1.99 bar and 0.49 bar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of the 1-P-03A centrifugal pump in the Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU VII Kasim and compare the actual operational data of the pump with its design data. The data collection method was carried out from the control room on June 7-11, 2023, including parameters of rotational speed (rpm), flow rate, suction pressure, discharge pressure, head, shaft power (BHP), hydraulic power (WHP), and efficiency. The actual data was compared with the pump design data. The performance calculation uses the formula of total pressure, pump head, WHP, BHP, and efficiency. The results of the analysis show the average actual data: rotational speed 2432 rpm, discharge 208 m³/hour, head 93.75 m, BHP 38 kW, WHP 75 kW, and efficiency 50%. The highest discharge value reached 244 m³/hour with an efficiency of 54%, while the lowest was 185 m³/hour with an efficiency of 48%. All actual data is below the design data (design rotational speed 2958 rpm, design flow rate 432 m³/hour, design head 139.5 m). The graph shows a linear relationship between flow rate and shaft power and hydraulic power, and efficiency is directly proportional to flow rate. The performance of pump 1-P-03A is still below design capacity, allegedly due to the condition of the plant which will undergo Turn Around (annual repair) so that the operation is less than optimal. The pump is still operational but requires periodic evaluation to achieve optimal efficiency at the Best Efficiency Point (BEP).

Abstract

Produksi sektor perikanan Kota Sorong semakin meningkat dari tahun ke tahun yang meliputi sumber pelagis (pelagic) dan sumber demersal, serta sumber lainnya yang mencapai 12.790 ton pada tahun 2017 dengan 99,79% bersumber dari perikanan laut. Hal ini menimbulkan permasalahan yaitu belum tersedia unit pengolahan limbah perikanan, dimana meningkatnya produksi ikan akan diiringi peningkatan limbah ikan. Ikan layaran (Istiophorus platypterus) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan hasil tangkapan di Pelelangan Ikan Klaligi Kota Sorong, banyaknya limbah yang dihasilkan dari Ikan layaran berupa tulang akan dimanfatkan menjadi produk yang lebih bermanfaat berupa karbon aktif/adsorben yang akan digunakan untuk memperbaiki kualitas minyak goreng bekas. Untuk mendapatkan Adsorben, maka limbah tulang hasil pengarangan diaktivasi dengan cara penambahan CaCl2 sebagai bahan pengaktif serta dilakukan pemanasan pada suhu dan waktu tertentu, selanjutnya direndam dalam larutan H2SO4 12%. Hasil optimum pemurnian minyak goreng bekas dengan adsorben arang aktif Limbah Tulang Ikan Layaran untuk bilangan asam, tercapai pada temperatur 100oC dan waktu kontak 60 menit dengan nilai 0,48 mgNaOH/g, untuk bilangan peroksida kondisi optimum pada suhu 60oC dengan waktu 100 menit dengan nilai 1,08 mekO2/kg, untuk kadar air kondisi optimum pada suhu 100oC dengan waktu 80 menit dengan nilai 0,165. Sedangkan untuk warna kondisi terbaik pada suhu 60oC dan waktu 80 menit dengan nilai absorbansi 2,155. Efisiensi penyerapan sebesar 59% dengan mengikuti model isoterm Freundlich.

Abstract

People in general still use the traditional way to reduce fever by using a cloth moistened with water. In this era of advanced technology, fever-reducing plasters can be used to reduce fever more effectively. One of the materials that can be used to make fever-reducing plaster is superabsorbent hydrogel. The superabsorbent hydrogel was prepared from cassava starch using the cross-linking method with the addition of epichlorohydrin and carboxymethyl. The stages of the research carried out were starch-epichlorohydrin-carboxymethyl synthesis, measurement of swelling ratio, effectiveness of superabsorbent hydrogel plaster on the speed of temperature reduction as an indicator of reducing fever. The results showed that the starch-epichlorohydrin swelling ratio was 300% and increased to 994% with the addition of carboxymethyl. Abstract

The determination of the heavy metals Copper (Cu) and Iron (Fe) in seawater in the coastal area of ​​Jembatan Puri, Sorong City, was conducted using the Ultra Violet Visible (UV-Vis) Spectrophotometry method. This study was conducted to determine heavy metal pollution in the coastal waters of Jembatan Puri, Sorong City. Samples were taken from two different locations. Sample preparation was carried out by wet digestion and analyzed using the Ultra Violet Visible (UV-Vis) Spectrophotometry method. The results of the seawater analysis showed that the levels of Cu and Fe metals at each location were (8.6325 ppm; 8.5901 ppm, 8.5901 ppm), (0.6411 ppm; 0.6077 ppm, 0.6578 ppm). The concentrations of Cu and Fe metals were above the quality standard threshold set by the Minister of Environment in 2004.
