Abstract

This study examines the impact of online shopping satisfaction and customer trust on purchasing behavior in the Shopee e-commerce platform. The research employs descriptive and associative methods with a quantitative approach. The population comprises Business Management students from Politeknik Negeri Medan, with 40 respondents selected based on specific criteria. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results indicate that online shopping satisfaction (X1) and customer trust (X2) have a positive and significant effect on purchasing behavior (Y), contributing 76.2%. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 58.1% suggests that these independent variables explain most of the variation in purchasing behavior. The findings highlight the crucial role of shopping experience satisfaction and trust in influencing consumer purchasing decisions. Therefore, Shopee should continuously enhance service quality and transaction security to maintain customer loyalty. Future research with a broader scope and qualitative or mixed-method approaches may provide deeper insights into other factors affecting consumer purchasing behavior.

Abstract

In the current era of computers and the internet, information transparency has become one of the key components that determine how good banking services are and how satisfied the public is with them. Banks provide open information to customers, enhancing trust and loyalty. The impact of information transparency on public satisfaction and the quality of banking services is the subject of this study. To gather data, a survey was conducted with customers from various banks that actively use digital services. The analysis results indicate that the more transparent a bank is, the better customers' perceptions of service quality, particularly in terms of product information clarity, ease of access, and protection of personal data. Banks must continue to innovate in providing clear, accurate, and easily accessible information to strengthen their relationship with customers, as information transparency improves public satisfaction and enhances the bank's competitiveness in the digital banking industry.

Abstract

In the cosmetics sector, influencer marketing has emerged as one of the most successful digital marketing techniques.  The purpose of this study was to examine how influencer marketing influences consumers' decision to purchase cosmetics online.  In a case study involving female college students aged between 19 and 25 who frequently use cosmetics, a qualitative research methodology was used.  In-depth interviews were used to collect data, and triangulation techniques were used for analysis to ensure data validity. According to the findings, the main determinants of consumers' purchasing decisions are the quality of the original ingredients, their level of trust in the influencer, and how well the product meets their needs.  The growth of consumer trust is further aided by the sincerity of the influencers in sharing good ratings and reviews from customers.  This research will be of great help to cosmetic company owners who wish to use influencer marketing to create more successful marketing campaigns.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of financial technology (fintech) and green financing in supporting sustainable development. Although fintech has shown great potential in accelerating access to financing for environmentally friendly projects, there is a gap in understanding how the three elements—technology, economy, and environment—can collaborate effectively to achieve maximum impact on sustainability. This research aims to explore how the blend of financial technology and green financing can produce more efficient and sustainable financing models. Using a qualitative approach and literature review, this study analyzes the integration of these three aspects and their impact on sustainable development. The findings suggest that the collaboration between technology and green financing can create efficient funding flows, enhance transparency, and promote inclusive economic growth and carbon emission reduction, directly supporting the achievement of global sustainability goals.

Abstract

This study aims to address the issue of economic inequality across provinces in Indonesia despite national economic growth. Inclusive economic growth, which ensures that economic progress benefits all layers of society particularly those in lower socio-economic groups remains unevenly distributed. Using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per employed person as a key indicator of inclusive growth, this research investigates the contributing factors and patterns of disparity among 34 Indonesian provinces from 2015 to 2021. A quantitative approach using K-Means clustering was applied to segment provinces based on determinants such as education, health, investment, formal sector involvement, and infrastructure. The study employed secondary data sourced from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK), processed with machine learning techniques such as standardization, PCA dimensionality reduction, and cluster evaluation using Silhouette Score. The optimal number of clusters was determined using the Elbow Method, which identified three distinct groups of provinces. These clusters were analyzed to highlight the unique characteristics and disparities among them, supporting the development of more targeted, evidence-based policy recommendations. The findings not only deepen the understanding of interprovincial economic disparities but also emphasize the potential of data science in shaping inclusive and sustainable development strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the key actors and structural factors contributing to price volatility in Bangladesh’s vegetable supply chain. It specifically examines unjustifiable increases in vegetable prices, despite their essential role in ensuring nutritional balance and meeting daily dietary requirements. To address the research objectives, the study adopts a mixed-methods approach, integrating both qualitative and quantitative data. Primary data were collected in Bogura between January 2024 and May 2025 through structured questionnaires, key informant interviews (KIIs), and focus group discussions (FGDs). In addition, policy documents and official market price notifications were systematically reviewed. The findings reveal that commonly consumed vegetables experience higher levels of price fluctuation at both wholesale and retail stages. Within the actor factor framework, wholesalers, retailers, and intermediaries play a dominant role in driving price escalation. These actors exploit regulatory loopholes, weak market oversight, and limited institutional accountability to maximise profits. The study also identifies corruption involving both government officials and private market actors particularly wholesalers and traders as a critical contributor to persistent price distortions. Furthermore, ineffective traditional market management regulations have undermined the enforcement capacity of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection. Based on these findings, the study proposes the development of a comprehensive policy framework that strengthens market regulation, enhances transparency, and ensures institutional accountability. Such reforms are essential to reducing unpredictable and unjustified price increases, while safeguarding consumer rights and overall welfare.

Abstract

This study explores the role of social innovation in addressing the demographic decline and institutional deficits in Bulgaria’s agricultural sector. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines documentary analysis of six international and national strategic policy documents with an empirical survey conducted among 196 agricultural producers, stratified by region (NUTS 2) and economic size (FADN classification). Findings reveal a significant disconnect between policy discourse and practical outcomes. Only 19% of farmers are aware of social innovation, while 58% lack successors, and 42% consider exiting the sector within five years. Limited digital infrastructure and low institutional trust further impede innovation uptake. Despite policy emphasis on digitalization, inclusion, and territorial cohesion, most small and medium farms remain excluded from support mechanisms. Based on this, the study recommends the creation of regional innovation platforms, institutional support for intergenerational transfer, targeted digital training, and the deployment of “innovation brokers.” The research contributes to rural development discourse by offering empirical insights into farmers’ perspectives and advancing region-specific policy implications. Its findings hold relevance for countries across the EU periphery and the Global South facing similar rural transitions.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of the digital economy has encouraged the integration of computational intelligence into economic efficiency analysis, including nutritional economics. Traditional nutritional assessment methods often rely on descriptive or linear approaches that overlook complex interactions among nutrients. This study proposes a Data-Driven Nutritional Efficiency Index (NEI), defined as Health Score divided by Calories + Sugar + Sodium + Saturated Fat + ε, to measure how effectively food products deliver health benefits relative to harmful components. The objective is to develop a predictive and optimized framework using machine learning and metaheuristic optimization. A structured dataset of 12 food items described by 12 nutritional variables is analyzed. Random Forest regression with 30 estimators and maximum depth of 5 models’ nonlinear relationships, while Bald Eagle Search (population size = 6; iterations = 8) performs feature selection to reduce redundancy and prevent overfitting. Model performance is evaluated using Leave-One-Out Cross-Validation, RMSE, and R². Results show strong predictive agreement, with NEI values ranging from 0.114676 to 0.672911. Findings confirm that nutritional efficiency varies substantially and cannot be explained by calorie content alone, supporting scalable, data-driven, AI-enhanced nutrition decision systems.
