Abstract

Phone cell users are now countless, but many of them are not able to solve the problem if there are damages to their phones. This paper discusses about the development of expert system that can assist to identify those damages. This system uses forward chaining and backward chaining methods which are known as the searching techniques in getting a conclusion of the existing problem, and this system is built by using PHP programming language and MySQL as the database, and it can only be accessed by using a mobile browser.

Abstract

Mathematics and Computer Science are closely related. Many problems that appear in Computer Science’s problems can be solved by using mathematical techniques or concepts; for example, finding the nearest distance, minimum fares, or minimum time. The determination of the minimum value can be found by using of mathematical programming, namely dynamic programming. Nevertheless, there are several another consideration factors such as security roads impassable, the vehicle used, comfortability road infrastructure, and others. Dynamic programming is one of the methods in mathematics which is useful to create a sequence of interrelated decisions, and provides a systematic procedure to determine the optimal combination of a decision. This paper will discuss about dynamic programming that applied in the determination of the minimum distance. Determination of the minimum distance will use an application to make it easier for calculation.Keywords: mathematics, dynamic programming, minimum distance, application

Abstract

Dengue Fever (DBD) and Malaria are kinds of diseases that often caused an extraordinary occurrence in Indonesia. Both diseases can spread rapidly and cause death in short time. The prediction of occurrence of Dengue Fever (DBD) and Malaria diseases in Bandar Lampung, still processed manually and presented in form of tables and graphs. In this research, Web-based Geographic Information System (WEB-GIS) was developed to provide information of the spreading of Dengue Fever (DBD) and Malaria diseases in the City of Bandar Lampung. Data was obtained from the Department of Health of the City government. The WEB-GIS was implemented using Arcview, MapServer, MySQL database, and PHPMapscript programming language. The result shows that WEB-GIS could provide information of spreading area of Dengue Fever (DBD) and Malaria diseases in Bandar Lampung until village level.Keywords : Dengue Fever, Malaria, WEB-GIS

Abstract

This research discusses about finding all solutions of The Knight's Tour Problem. The steps done by a knight on a chess board forms a path. If the track is able to pass through all points (boxes)  and can return to the original point (box)  is called as Hamilton Cycle, that produces Closed Knight's Tour;  if the path can pass through all the points but can not return to the original point of the track is called as Open Knight's Tour. There are various ways to solve the Knight's Tour Problem, one of which is to use the Backtrack algorithm. In this paper we will discuss of finding all solutions of Knight’s Tour Problem vary from 3x3 up to 8x8 chessboards.Keywords: knight’s tour problem, backtrack algorithm, open and closed knight’s tour

Abstract

Technology development currently making human life be more practical. There are many ways to use technology like for entertainment, business, and education. The use of technology in education is still not optimal so that the educational process is still using the old system where students listen and the teachers explain. One of the education technology is to do the process of learning using the  multimedia interactive. Subjects about the solar system is one of the subjects taught in junior high school, but the topics about exoplanets or planets which are outside the solar system are seldom given by the teacher. Most junior high school used the interactive multimedia to help learning process but it is still 2D-based and only gave topics about the solar system. Therefore, in this paper we discused about the design and development of an interactive multimedia which contains topics about solar system and exoplanets with animated interactive multimedia in 3D-based. This application will be more attractive, and the users can use it interactively.Keywords: 3D-based interactive multimedia, education, solar system and exoplanet, technology development.

Abstract

The increasing demand in the use of computers in all aspects of life needs people interact with computers more agile. One of them is to type faster. Various methods and applications have been created to help people to type fast but the application commonly used was a paid or trial applications. Because of that, an alternative application is developed to handle the problem. This applications developed using Waterfall method and the Pascal programming language which is considered easier to do for further development, since this applications will be Open Source .Keywords: Open Source, Pascal, Quick Typing.

Abstract

Online school report card information system based on web and mobile is an information system that can give us information service with student academic data form that we can access it through web and mobile. This online school report card information system based on web and mobile is a development form from online school report card information system by Giska Putri Wulandari that existed previously.Research and development purposes of online school report card information system are for give ease at student and teacher data processing, simplify in student academic data processing and delivery the information to pupil through network mobile and to detect how much influence of online school report card information system based on web and mobile towards system user satisfaction level.Research method that used in this research is based on field research method. And the development system is uses waterfall model. Software that used: windows xp professional, macromedia dream weaver 8,  and xampp 1.6.8.Result from this Research and development of online school report card information system is conclusion from questionnaire data and a application web named: online school report card information system based on web and mobile on SMA Negeri 1 Gedong Tataan.Keywords: Analysis information system, online report, web and mobile

Abstract

This research discusses about a simulating application for automatic coffee machine which can do processes of making 7 types of choices of drinks; coffee, milk, chocolate, coffee milk, coffee brown, mocha, and chocolate milk automatically. In this application, the concept of Finite State Automata (FSA) was applied to recognize and to capture the pattern on the process for making coffee drinks. In this application, Finite State Automata (FSA) was applied to read input symbols given from the starting state to the final state in order to get the language recognized by the machine. Further, the process will be done accordance with the read language.Keywords: Coffee Machine, Finite State Automata (FSA), Language and Automata Theory.

Abstract

SMT’s secretariat is one of the PT. PLN (Persero) Power Generation Sector of Tarahan which is responsible fordocument control process. The documents control form start from submission until distribution are still inmanual process, for example, the distributed documents still in the hardcopy. This research creates theIntegrated Management Information System or SIMANTEP Online which is an integrated information systemthat gave online service of documents management at PT. PLN (Persero) Power Generation Sector of TarahanLampung. The information system is made using Extreme Programming (XP), one of Agile DevelopmentMethods. The result of this research is an online information system which is not only accessible in TarahanPLTU’s office area, but also can be accessed by the internet. The SIMANTEP Online also provides conveniencefor the user in terms of documents management and control, start from the submission, validation, anddistribution of documents with online service.

Abstract

AbstractThe increase of number and size of data, resulted the increase in the user needs for the ability of a computer to process large data. The new paradigm, parallel computing, is proposed to handle the problems which teaches that substantial-job can be split up into marginal-job by increasing the number of workers. One of the method is cluster computing which is using more than one processor to handle single process. Even it showed a significant increase in computing than the conventional one, the high price to build a cluster system becomes a constraint.This study uses one of parallel computing method that is GPU computing and compares the result to cluster computing. GPU computing uses Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to compute in parallel. The result of this study shows that by using GPU computing the use of processor can be maximized, and it shows that it has more capability in matrix multiplication than cluster computing.
