Al-Faiza: Journal of Islamic Education Studies (eISSN: 3025-5147), is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and writing on education. This journal was published by Pendidikan Al - Gafari which was published three times a year, March, July & October with a minimum of 5 articles. The journal aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of the field of education and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulated knowledge, values, and skills. Scientific manuscript dealing with elementary education topics are particularly welcome to be submitted. The journal encompasses research articles, original research report, and scientific reviews in education. Editorial Team invites academics, lecturers and researchers to contribute according to the scope above. This journal is an open access journal which means that all freely available content is used. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or cite to the full text of the article, or use it for other legitimate purposes, without asking permission from the publisher or author.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has significantly impacted the lives of students, especially Generation Z, who grew up with widespread internet and social media access. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping the character of Generation Z junior high school students in the digital era and identify strategies used to address these challenges. This study used a qualitative approach with field research. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation with Islamic Religious Education teachers as key informants. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was tested using triangulation techniques. The results show that Islamic Religious Education teachers play a crucial role as educators, mentors, role models, motivators, and facilitators in shaping students' character. The strategies implemented include fostering religious activities, utilizing social media as a means of digital da'wah, using creative and interactive learning methods, implementing a love-based curriculum, and engaging in a personal approach through counseling.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era has significantly changed the way people access, obtain, and disseminate information, including religious information. Ease of access to digital platforms provides significant opportunities for religious learning, but at the same time, it also increases the spread of hoaxes, misinformation, hate speech, and religious content that contradicts the principles of religious moderation. This research used a qualitative approach with a literature review method. Data were collected from academic books, scientific journal articles, previous research results, and official documents related to digital literacy, digital media, and religious information. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques, which include data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that students' digital literacy is influenced by critical thinking skills, competence in evaluating the credibility of information sources, a culture of literacy, and responsible use of digital media. Strengthening digital literacy through higher education, curriculum integration, and religious moderation education are considered effective strategies for developing students who are able to wisely filter religious information and prevent the spread of misleading information in the digital environment.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has changed the way students obtain, process, and present academic information. On the other hand, the use of AI also raises ethical challenges, such as academic honesty, scientific responsibility, and the limitations of technology use in completing lecture assignments. This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing Islamic Religious Education values ​​in the ethics of using Artificial Intelligence by STAI NW Samawa students. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Research informants were selected purposively, namely active students of STAI NW Samawa who utilize Artificial Intelligence in academic activities. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was tested through source triangulation, technical triangulation, and member checking. This study is expected to produce an overview of the process of internalizing Islamic Religious Education values, especially the values ​​of honesty (sidq), trustworthiness (amanah), responsibility (mas'ūliyyah), and academic integrity in the use of AI by students. The research results are expected to contribute to the development of ethics in the use of Artificial Intelligence in Islamic higher education environments and serve as a reference in the preparation of academic policies that are adaptive to technological developments without ignoring Islamic values.
