Abstract

This classroom action research aims to describe the implementation process, analyze practical findings, and measure the achievement of learning objectives in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through the implementation of the educational game “Four Magic Words.” This game is designed to strengthen students’ understanding and application of simple Akhlaqul Karimah (noble character), focusing on four key expressions: thank you, sorry, please, and excuse me. The research procedure involved grouping students into teams and conducting a competitive activity to find and attach statement cards that matched the four key expressions. The results show that this game successfully stimulated students’ enthusiasm and active participation. One of the main findings was the challenge of classroom management due to students’ high energy levels, which was addressed through transition techniques and the application of Abraham Maslow’s humanistic approach to manage distractions. Theoretically, this approach integrates Behaviorist theory (through the use of rewards), Constructivist theory (through independent contextual understanding), and Integrative Learning (by combining PAI, Indonesian Language, and Social Studies). The achievement of PAI learning objectives was found to be optimal, covering cognitive aspects (students were able to identify and distinguish concepts), affective aspects (the emergence of collaboration and real-life transfer of learning in daily interactions), and psychomotor aspects (students’ agility in the game). A major indicator of success was the spontaneous use of the four magic words by students in classroom interactions, which reflects the internalization of Akhlaqul Karimah values in a simple and practical form.

Abstract

This study examines the use of learning media to enhance students’ understanding of the Islamic Cultural History subject at MI Cikoredas. The main issue addressed is the low level of student comprehension resulting from the dominance of lecture-based methods without the support of engaging and contextual media. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of learning media in strengthening students’ understanding and to describe teachers’ strategies in implementing it. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through interviews and observations involving teachers, the principal, and students. The results indicate that the use of learning media such as instructional videos, illustrative images, and interactive presentations increases students’ enthusiasm, participation, and retention of Islamic historical events. Visual and audiovisual media have been proven to help students grasp abstract concepts more concretely and engagingly. The conclusion emphasizes that learning media play a significant role in creating a more meaningful, enjoyable, and contextual Islamic Cultural History learning process. The implication of this study is the need for teachers to enhance their creativity in selecting and developing relevant learning media that suit students’ characteristics and meet the demands of digital-era education.

Abstract

This study examines the monitoring system in the management of Islamic education supervision at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah through the utilization of Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, integrated with local wisdom values and the implementation of a love-based curriculum. Supervision in Islamic education is viewed as a strategic element in maintaining the quality of the learning process while simultaneously fostering students’ character development in a holistic manner (Sergiovanni, 2019). The research adopts a qualitative approach using a library research method. The findings indicate that the application of AI in supervision enhances the effectiveness of monitoring processes, improves the accuracy of teacher performance evaluation, and supports continuous mapping of students’ learning development without neglecting spiritual, humanistic, and local cultural values.

Abstract

The quality of learning demands the application of interesting models and methods that actively engage students to achieve effective learning objectives. The low learning achievement of students in the Al-Qur'an Hadis subject in Class VI MI Al-Amien Tegal is indicated to be caused by a learning process that has not actively involved the students. This research aims to analyze students' learning conditions and describe the implementation of the Peer Tutoring learning method as a solution to overcome learning difficulties. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively, namely by describing the data found in the field to draw a final conclusion after going through the process of reduction and verification. The implementation of the Peer Tutoring method in addressing students' learning difficulties covers three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage serves as the initial step for supervising teachers to address student criteria. The evaluation results show that the application of Peer Tutoring succeeded in overcoming the main problem, namely the lack of active student involvement, thereby providing a positive impact in improving students' learning achievement, which was previously unsatisfactory. The Peer Tutoring learning method proved to be the right and effective choice to be applied to the Al-Qur'an Hadis subject in Class VI MI Al-Amien Tegal. This method successfully created a more active learning environment, thus enabling the overcoming of learning difficulties and improving students' achievement results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Fiqh Thaharah learning on students’ behavioral changes in maintaining purity at MI Al Ula Balikpapan Barat. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach using simple linear regression analysis. The population consists of all 58 fifth-grade students of MI Al Ula Balikpapan Barat, all of whom were included as samples through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires based on indicators of Fiqh Thaharah learning and cleanliness behavior. The t-test results show that the calculated t-value of 4.678 is higher than the table value of 2.63157 at a 5% significance level, indicating a significant influence between Fiqh Thaharah learning and students’ behavioral changes in maintaining purity. The significance value of 0.001 (<0.05) further confirms that Fiqh Thaharah education plays an essential role in enhancing students’ awareness of cleanliness and spiritual purity. Therefore, Fiqh Thaharah learning not only improves students’ conceptual understanding of Islamic teachings but also cultivates discipline, responsibility, and spiritual awareness in their daily lives.

Abstract

The transformation of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah  libraries is an important step in strengthening the culture of literacy at the elementary educatio level. Libraries are no longer understood merely as spaces for storing books, but as learning resource centers that support comprehensive learning processes. This study aims to describe the forms and impacts of library transformation at the elementary education level on the development of students’ literacy skills. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that library transformation is carried out through the strengthening of facilities and collections, service innovations, and the integration of literacy programs into learning activities. Efforts to reorganize library spaces and expand reading materials have created a more conducive literacy environment. Service innovations, such as reading programs, storytelling activities, and the use of simple digital catalogs, contribute to increasing students’ reading interest. The integration of libraries with learning activities encourages their utilization as reference sources and spaces for academic exploration. Despite facing challenges such as limited budgets, inadequate digital facilities, and a lack of training for librarians, library transformation has proven to have a positive impact on strengthening basic literacy. This study emphasizes the need for continuous support from schools, the government, and the community to optimize the role of libraries as literacy centers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study examines the problem of low student learning interest in elementary classrooms and proposes the optimization of simple instructional media as a practical solution. The research aims to analyze how low-cost, easily constructed media can enhance student engagement and create meaningful learning experiences. A classroom action research design was implemented through iterative cycles involving planning, action, observation, and reflection. The findings indicate a consistent improvement in student learning interest, classroom participation, and emotional engagement after the integration of visual and concrete media. Simple media functioned not only as cognitive support but also as affective stimulation that reduced anxiety and increased motivation. The results demonstrate that effective learning innovation does not depend solely on advanced technology but on pedagogical creativity and reflective practice. The study concludes that optimizing simple media can serve as a sustainable instructional strategy, especially in schools with limited resources. This approach contributes to the development of practical, context-sensitive pedagogy and provides a replicable model for improving classroom interaction and student-centered learning.
