Abstract

The development of technology, particularly the widespread use of gadgets, has brought significant changes to adolescent interactions. However, excessive use can potentially trigger antisocial behaviour. The purpose of this study was to detect antisocial behaviour in adolescents due to gadget use. The research method used was a literature study, which involved understanding and analysing 10 relevant articles. The results of the analysis indicate that interaction with gadgets can significantly influence antisocial behaviour. The main impact of uncontrolled gadget use is a decline in communication skills and healthy social interaction within the family and school environment. Additionally, exposure to negative online content, such as violence or hate speech, can exacerbate this condition and trigger antisocial behaviours like cyberbullying and unhealthy social comparisons. Prevention and supervision efforts involving parents, educators, and counsellors are necessary to detect and address the negative effects of gadget use. To that end, an educational approach that teaches wise use of technology and emphasises the importance of healthy social interaction is essential to reduce the impact of antisocial behaviour.

Abstract

Bullying is a problem that occurs not only in public schools but also in religious educational settings such as Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This phenomenon is concerning because it contradicts the primary objective of pesantren education, which emphasises the cultivation of noble character. This article aims to identify and examine strategies for preventing bullying in pesantren through an Islamic values-based approach. The method used is a literature review with descriptive analysis. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review method. Data was obtained from various sources such as books, journals, and scientific articles discussing bullying and character education in the context of Islamic boarding schools. Analysis was conducted by examining and reviewing the content to formulate a synthesis of prevention strategies based on Islamic values. The results of the study indicate that bullying prevention can be achieved through three main approaches: strengthening Islamic character education, empowering students as agents of peace, and enhancing the role of kyai and ustadz in moral supervision and guidance. With the consistent implementation of these strategies, Islamic boarding schools are expected to create a safe, peaceful, and supportive environment for the development of noble character.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increase students' learning motivation in Indonesian language subjects using interactive wordwall media in class IV-D SDN Pakis 1 Surabaya. This research is a Classroom Action Research with the Kurt Lewin model. The subjects in this study were students in class IV-D SDN Pakis 1 Surabaya in the 2024/2025 school year, totaling 28 students.  The method used in this research is the PTK (Classroom Action Research) method. Data collection techniques using questionnaire techniques.  Indicators of success in the study can be measured from the acquisition of learning motivation questionnaire scores that show between 81%-100% which are included in the high category. The results showed that the use of interactive wordwall media can increase students' learning motivation in Indonesian language subjects on narrative text material. This is evidenced by the increase in student learning motivation scores before the action or pre-cycle of 67% in cycle I, increasing from 67% to 82%. Meanwhile, from cycle I to cycle II, there was an increase of 7% to 89% with a high category.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the application of interactive learning articulate storyline 3 in increasing the learning motivation of students in class III C SDN Pakis 1 Surabaya. Students of class III C SDN Pakis 1 Surabaya. The type of research is Classroom Action Research Classroom Action Research, which was designed in two cycles and using the Kemmis and Taggart model in the form of a spiral cycle. model of Kemmis and Taggart in the form of a spiral cycle. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation/evaluation and reflection. reflection. The research subjects were students of class III C SDN Pakis 1 Surabaya. totaling 28 students. The instrument used is a learning motivation questionnaire. Based on the results of pre-cycle observations, the average percentage of questionnaire scores learning motivation of 28 students is 53.5% categorized as moderate. While cycle I observation data has an increase in the average percentage of questionnaire scores to 79% so that it is in the good category. In the last cycle, namely cycle II obtained an increase of 25% from cycle I, namely with an average percentage of 89%. percentage of 89% Thus, the research conducted shows that the application of interactive learning based on articulate storyline 3 can increase student motivation to learn Indonesian narrative story material from pre-cycle to cycle II with an increase of 10% increase.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in students' learning motivation through the use of Dice media and the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model in mathematics subjects, specifically in multiplication and division, in Class III at SDN Dukuh Kupang I/488 Surabaya. The study was motivated by the low level of student motivation observed during learning activities, particularly in mathematics. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach was employed and conducted in Class III with a total of 28 students. Data were collected through questionnaires and direct observation during the learning process. The questionnaire data were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative method. The research was implemented in two cycles, each consisting of four stages. The results showed an improvement in students’ learning motivation in mathematics (multiplication and division) when using Sudoku media combined with the TGT model. Based on the analyzed data, there was a 6% increase in motivation from Cycle I to Cycle II, with the motivation levels rising from 82% to 88%. These results indicate that the learning motivation of Class III students at SDN Dukuh Kupang I/488 Surabaya falls into the high category.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) on the topic of Landscapes by implementing the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. This approach involves grouping students according to their cognitive ability levels, allowing the learning process to be tailored to the specific needs of each group. The research employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model developed by Kemmis and McTaggart, conducted over two cycles. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and learning outcome tests. The findings indicate that the TaRL approach effectively enhanced student learning outcomes, as demonstrated by an increase in mastery learning from 46% in the pre-cycle to 68% in the first cycle, and further to 86% in the second cycle. These results suggest that differentiated instruction based on cognitive development levels can significantly support students in better understanding IPAS material.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research aimed at determining whether the implementation of an Android-based learning application developed using iSpring can improve the learning mastery of fifth-grade students at SDN Pakis 1 Surabaya in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), specifically on the topic of the Human Digestive System. The main objective of this study is to enhance students’ learning mastery. The research was conducted over two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. Based on the findings, the use of the Android-based learning application created with iSpring proved effective in improving students’ mastery of the Human Digestive System topic. The data showed an increase in the percentage of learning mastery from 29.63% in the pre-cycle to 59.26% in the first cycle and further to 85.18% in the second cycle, with the number of students achieving mastery rising from 8 in the pre-cycle to 16 in the first cycle and 23 in the second cycle.
