Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation on employee performance in office management at PT Surya Sudeco (Tunas Rent), a leading vehicle rental and fleet management company in Indonesia. Employee motivation is considered a crucial factor that can enhance productivity and work effectiveness in a dynamic corporate environment like Tunas Rent, which manages a fleet of over 8,000 units and serves a wide range of corporate clients nationwide. The research employs a quantitative approach, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to employees across various office management divisions. Motivation variables are measured based on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, while employee performance is assessed through indicators such as achievement of work targets, discipline, and quality of administrative services. The analysis results indicate that motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Tunas Rent. Enhancing motivation through incentives, continuous training, and a supportive work environment has been proven to encourage employees to perform optimally, ultimately supporting the company’s goal of providing efficient and professional fleet management services. This study emphasizes the importance of management’s role in designing effective motivation strategies to improve employee performance, especially in service companies that heavily rely on coordination and customer service. The findings provide practical contributions for human resource policy development at Tunas Rent and serve as a reference for similar companies in effectively managing employee motivation and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences in abnormal returns and stock trading volumes before and after the announcement of the import tariff policy by the President of the United States, Donald Trump. The import tariff policy implemented by President Trump on April 2, 2025, has triggered global trade tensions, particularly between the United States and its trading partners. This protectionist policy not only impacts the international trade sector but also influences financial market sentiment in various countries, including Indonesia. The fluctuations resulting from this policy have the potential to generate abnormal returns as well as unusual changes in stock trading volumes. The population in this study consists of 17 companies from the textile industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, meaning that the entire population is taken as the sample for the study, with an event window of 8 days before and 8 days after the announcement of the import tariff policy by President Donald Trump on April 2, 2025. The data analysis method employed is the paired sample difference test. The results indicate a difference in abnormal returns in the periods before and after the announcement of the import tariff policy. Conversely, no difference was found in stock trading volumes before and after the tariff announcement. The import tariff policy announced by President Donald Trump has a complex impact on financial markets and the economy by influencing investor risk expectations, reflected in changes in abnormal returns resulting from increased import costs and disruptions to global supply chains, thereby causing market volatility despite no changes in trading volume. This suggests market anticipation or the influence of other more dominant economic factors, while macroeconomically, the policy can slow growth, alter international trade patterns, and trigger protectionism, which generates long-term uncertainty for market participants and textile industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

This research systematically investigates the effective implementation of digital transformation in the public sector, with a focus on the renewal of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) as a key component. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on the PRISMA framework, the study identified, selected, and analyzed 39 relevant articles sourced from the Scopus database. The analysis centers on implementation, contributing factors, challenges, and opportunities, with a specific focus on the Indonesian context. The findings indicate that digital transformation is a fundamental paradigm shift from simply E-Government towards a more holistic and collaborative Government as a Platform (GaaP) model. The success of implementation is contingent upon factors like robust political leadership, a cohesive policy framework, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. On the other hand, the process is frequently impeded by significant hurdles, such as bureaucratic fragmentation, sectoral protectionism, outdated legacy systems and a skills gap in digital literacy among public officials. While these challenges are acute in Indonesia, they are offset by strategic opportunities to achieve technological leapfrogging and scale up successful local initiatives nationwide. This research concludes that AIS transformation is not the goal, but a pivotal enabler for the successful digital transformation of the entire public sector.

Abstract

Chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.) constitute a significant horticultural commodity in Indonesia, with production on the rise.  Chili producers frequently encounter difficulties, including insufficient knowledge regarding diseases that impact chili plant foliage and the application of technology.  Identified major diseases include leaf spot, curly top, and gemini, which can diminish chili output.  The application of the ResNet 101 architecture in Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for disease detection in plant pictures presents a viable approach.  The ResNet 101 architecture is employed to recognize and classify various illnesses on chili leaves, facilitating early symptom detection and diagnosis.  The residual architecture (ResNet 101) acquires intricate elements in images to improve disease diagnosis precision. This research examines the utilization, challenges, and benefits of disease detection systems through various methodologies, including observations and field investigations.  The process entails gathering picture models from various disease categories (leaf spot, curly top, gemini) and healthy leaves to construct a dataset, in addition to seeking expert consultation on illness classifications and employing the ResNet 101 architecture for modeling.  The use of the ResNet 101 architecture in the CNN model for disease detection on chili leaves, utilizing a dataset of 1,518 images categorized into four groups (leaf spot, curly top, gemini, and healthy leaves), yielded substantial outcomes, achieving an overall accuracy of 0.9382.  The established architecture must be evaluated against alternative designs to enhance the model's outcomes and to expand the dataset utilized to improve accuracy substantially.

Abstract

This study analyzes the application of Markowitz Portfolio Theory to the investment management of Gen Z teenagers who earn income from digital platforms such as TikTok and YouTube in Palembang City. Using a quantitative approach with a sample of 300 student respondents as content creators, this study calculates expected return, variance, standard deviation, and covariance to form an optimal portfolio. The results show that the combination of income from TikTok and YouTube with equal weighting produces a portfolio return of 3.36 with lower risk (standard deviation 11.18) than individual assets. This research contributes to digital financial literacy by recommending diversification strategies to manage volatile income. The findings align with the low financial literacy of Indonesian youth (65.43% by 2024) and support the 90% financial inclusion target in South Sumatra.

Abstract

This study addresses the critical issue of how financial literacy impacts the consumption behavior of Generation Z students. The primary objective is to examine the relationship between financial literacy, fintech usage, and consumption behavior among this demographic. The research employs a survey method utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the proposed model. The findings reveal that financial literacy significantly influences the consumption behavior of Generation Z students. Additionally, financial literacy positively affects the use of fintech; however, fintech usage does not significantly impact the consumption behavior of these students. The implications of this research highlight the importance of enhancing financial literacy among Generation Z to foster responsible consumption habits. However, the study's limitation lies in its focus on students from economic backgrounds, which may not fully represent the diverse perspectives within Generation Z. Future research should include a broader range of participants to gain a more comprehensive understanding of these dynamics.

Motivation, Work Environment, and Employee Performance in one of the Bandung convection enterprises was determined to be related based on the entire data analysis. Thus, the work environment and motivation have an impact on employee performance. Other elements that may impact employee performance should be covered in this study. Furthermore, in comparison to the work environment, motivation has less of an effect. Therefore, the business ought to prioritize the work environment while simultaneously maximizing employee motivation at one of Bandung's convective businesses.
