Abstract

This study examines the impact of brand image and pricing on consumer purchasing decisions at a red ginger company in Bandung.  This study examines the predominant aspects affecting purchasing decisions: brand image and price.  The research methodology employed is route analysis, utilizing a sampling procedure via a questionnaire administered to one hundred consumers who exclusively utilize red ginger goods from the examined company.  The study's findings demonstrate that brand image directly affects purchase decisions and indirectly influences them via the price variable.  Similarly, price directly affects purchasing decisions and indirectly influences them via brand image.  Examining the coefficient of determination demonstrates that brand image and price significantly influence purchasing decisions. However, other external factors beyond the analyzed variables also exert an impact that warrants consideration.  In light of these findings, enterprises should prioritize enhancing brand image and adjusting competitive pricing to bolster customer purchasing decisions.  Companies can enhance brand identity through effective marketing and uphold product quality to meet consumer expectations.  Moreover, establishing pricing that aligns with the product's worth is crucial in sustaining consumer loyalty.  This study's results are anticipated to guide corporate management in developing more effective marketing strategies to enhance competitiveness in the red ginger industry.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Current Ratio and debt-to-equity ratio on the net profit Margin of a health service and hospital provider, Tbk, throughout the specified period.  Financial ratios are crucial for evaluating a company's financial health, particularly in the healthcare sector, necessitating substantial spending in operational management and facility growth.  The Current Ratio indicates the company's capacity to fulfill short-term liabilities, whereas the debt-equity ratio assesses the debt-to-equity ratio within the capital framework.  The employed research approach is the classical assumption test, which verifies the regression model's precision utilized to examine the relationship between the independent and dependent variables.  The classical assumption test encompasses normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, and autocorrelation tests to verify that the model is unbiased and yields valid results.  The study's findings reveal that the Equity Ratio exerts a considerable negative impact on the Nett Profit Margin, indicating that an increased proportion of debt relative to equity results in a heightened financial burden for the organization.  This condition adversely affects profitability, as the company must devote most of its income to meet financial obligations.  Conversely, a more balanced capital structure management can enhance net income and the company's financial well-being. This discovery has significance for the management of Tbk enterprises in developing more effective financial strategies, particularly in regulating debt and equity levels to avoid adversely affecting profitability.  Companies must implement measures to diminish reliance on external financing and enhance operational efficiency to bolster competitiveness in the healthcare sector.  Furthermore, optimizing asset utilization and diversifying revenue streams may serve as strategies to enhance profitability sustainably. This study underscores the significance of equilibrium in the financial framework to guarantee sustained long-term growth.  By effectively managing financial ratios, a healthcare and hospital service provider can enhance financial stability and sustain higher profitability in confronting future business issues.

Abstract

This study seeks to analyze the impact of health expenditure, education expenditure, capital expenditure, the Human Development Index, and the unemployment rate on economic growth in the local governments of regencies and cities on the island of Sumatera. Economic growth serves as a significant metric for assessing the economic vitality of a nation or region. Factors impacting this may encompass health expenditure, education expenditure, capital expenditure, the Human Development Index, and the unemployment rate. This study's population comprises 154 local governments from regencies and cities on the island of Sumatra. It utilized a saturated sampling strategy and a panel data approach during a four-year observation period, yielding 616 research samples from 2020 to 2023. The employed data analysis technique is panel data regression, with a significance threshold of 5%. The study's findings reveal that health expenditure does not significantly influence economic growth, indicating that health spending has not effectively enhanced labor productivity through improvements in public health. Moreover, educational expenditure positively impacts economic growth, suggesting that education can improve skills and labor productivity, thus augmenting economic production. The study concludes that capital expenditure adversely impacts economic growth, suggesting that it diminishes economic growth despite proper allocation, demonstrating inefficiency and lack of productivity in its execution. The Human Development Index (HDI) does not influence economic growth, indicating that the HDI, which includes factors like education, health, and living standards, has not evolved adequately to impact economic growth. The unemployment rate does not affect economic growth, indicating that labor market conditions and structural variables, such as the alignment of skills and knowledge, may impede economic growth in a region. Not all governmental expenditure or socio-economic metrics yield the anticipated effect on economic growth. The effectiveness of resource distribution, policy emphasis, and the overarching economic environment significantly influence the effects of these diverse elements. Additional investigation may be necessary to comprehend the dynamics behind these findings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and execute a web-based cash receipt and disbursement information system to address financial management issues in a school in Bandung.  Before the system's development, cash transaction recording was conducted manually with notebooks and spreadsheets, susceptible to inaccuracies, reporting delays, and inefficiencies in time and effort.  An information system was built to address these issues by streamlining transaction recording, accelerating the reporting process, and enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of cash management. This study employs data-gathering methods such as interviews, observations, literature reviews, and documentation analysis.  The system was developed utilizing a prototyping methodology, facilitating extensive contact between engineers and users to create a solution that meets their requirements.  This system was constructed utilizing the PHP programming language alongside the Laravel framework, employing a MySQL database operated via XAMPP and written with the Visual Studio Code editor. The findings of this study demonstrate that the developed cash receipt and disbursement information system can enhance schools' ability to record and manage cash transactions with greater efficiency, accuracy, and organization.  This technology facilitates the generation of rapid cash reports that are accessible at any time, thereby enhancing the decision-making process and ensuring transparent financial reporting.  Consequently, this system serves as an appropriate solution for facilitating the digitalization of financial administration within the educational setting.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a significant health issue in Indonesia, particularly in the city of Bandung.  This condition necessitates prompt intervention and precise diagnosis to ensure patients receive timely and suitable treatment.  The insufficient number of medical workers, particularly physicians, in various clinics, including the Healthy Life Clinic, constitutes a significant impediment to the early diagnosis of DHF.  This project aims to develop and apply an expert system for diagnosing DHF using the forward chaining method.  This approach operates by tracing data from user-inputted facts or symptoms to derive diagnostic conclusions.  This expert system is designed to replicate a physician's cognitive process in evaluating symptoms and providing guidance for the early diagnosis of DHF.  The study's results indicated that the created method achieved a diagnosis with high accuracy and strong consistency with the test data. Furthermore, the system demonstrated superior performance in terms of response speed and user-friendliness.  Validation tests and simulations based on actual cases managed by the clinic were conducted for testing purposes.  The system's efficacy is significantly contingent upon the quality and comprehensiveness of the data input by the user.  A further deficiency identified was the need for regular updates to the knowledge base to ensure the system's relevance to the latest advancements in the medical field.  Despite several constraints, this expert system has demonstrated its efficacy as a practical and effective diagnostic tool, particularly for clinics with limited medical staff.  The incorporation of artificial intelligence through the forward chaining method is anticipated to serve as a strategic solution for enhancing the quality of health services and expediting the management of DHF cases at primary healthcare facilities.
