Abstract

This research was motivated by indications that in learning activities using rewards in class 1A MIS At-Taqwa Sambas, teachers were seen implementing interesting learning methods so that students felt enthusiastic about learning, namely applying rewards during the learning process, this made class 1A students enthusiastic. and compete in learning. In class 1A there are several students who are lazy about writing and doing assignments, but with the reward these students become enthusiastic and become diligent in writing and doing the questions the teacher gives. This research has three research objectives, including the following: First, to determine the form of giving rewards in increasing student learning motivation in class 1A MIS At-Taqwa Sambas for the 2022-2023 academic year. Second, to determine the impact of giving rewards on students' learning motivation in class 1A MIS At-Taqwa Sambas for the 2022-2023 academic year. Third, to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for giving rewards in increasing student learning motivation in class 1A MIS At-Taqwa Sambas for the 2022-2023 academic year. This research uses a qualitative approach while this type of research is field research. There are three types of data collection techniques in this research, namely: Interview, Observation and Documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data display, drawing conclusions and verification. Then the data validity checking techniques used are triangulation (source triangulation) and member check. The research results are: First, the form of giving rewards to increase students' learning motivation in class 1A is by giving attention and praise, giving respect and appreciation, and giving simple gifts to students. Second, the impact of giving rewards on students' learning motivation in class 1A has had a good impact, namely increasing students' attention when studying, facilitating learning activities in class, generating and maintaining students' learning motivation, controlling and changing disruptive behavior towards learning behavior and can direct good thinking. Third, the supporting factors for giving rewards in increasing students' learning motivation in class 1A are the teacher's authority to manage rewards in class, support and cooperation from the school and also the student's guardians. while the inhibiting factors are the personal costs incurred by teachers to purchase rewards in the form of prizes, a bad environment and different levels of student ability.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the story of Polycarp as a model of martyrdom and its relevance to religious freedom. The qualitative method of case studies is used with in-depth literature study techniques. The results show that the story of Polycarp represents the values of courage, loyalty, integrity, and sacrifice that are very relevant in contemporary religious freedom struggles. The similarity in the pattern of violations of religious freedom between the time of Polycarp and the modern era reminds us of the urgency to continue fighting for human rights. Polycarp's experience can also inspire and motivate religious minorities who are still struggling to obtain the right to religious freedom.

Abstract

Learning tools for thematic and independent curricula generally encompass various components, such as Lesson Implementation Plans (RPP), Syllabus, Teaching Materials, and Evaluation Instruments. RPP is a planning document that includes learning steps, objectives, teaching materials, methods, media, and evaluation. The Syllabus provides a general overview of the subjects taught, while Teaching Materials include learning materials, assignments, and other learning sources. In thematic curricula, learning tools are developed with an approach that integrates multiple subjects under a common theme, allowing students to study concepts in an integrated manner. Meanwhile, in the Independent Curriculum, learning tools are developed with an approach that integrates various aspects, such as strengthening the Pancasila student profile, intracurricular and extracurricular activities. This enables students to understand these concepts in a broader and more meaningful context.

Abstract

This writing is a theological analysis of martyrdom and suicide. With the aim that this writing can add insight into the theology of youth as the next generation of the Church with regard to understanding the concept of salvation in terms of martyrdom and killing and strengthening a young man's faith in Jesus Christ who is Lord and Savior. This writing is based on observation because many people do not understand the concept of salvation from martyrdom and death by suicide. Many people think that when someone commits suicide they will get salvation like when they die as a martyr. With suicide will end the problems faced so that one's mind is no longer tormented. Based on this assumption, the authors are interested in analyzing the topic above by using a qualitative approach and focusing on data or information from the Bible as the main literature and other literature obtained that provides information about the concept of salvation when someone dies as a martyr by committing suicide.

Abstract

The limited access and infrastructure faced by vocational education institutions in disadvantaged areas have posed significant challenges in the implementation of effective learning media strategies. The lack of information and communication technology facilities, such as computers, internet networks and other digital devices, limits the use of modern learning media that are interactive and engaging. In addition, the scarcity of teachers who are competent and capable of effectively using innovative learning media exacerbates the situation. As a result, conventional teaching methods that lack student participation are still widely used, slowing down the transfer of skills and knowledge needed in the job market. Ineffective learning media strategies have the potential to reduce the quality of graduates and weaken the competitiveness of the vocational workforce in the digital era.

Abstract

The increasing importance of automation in aquaculture has led to the development of an Arduino Uno-based automated water quality control system for tilapia fish ponds. This research aims to monitor and maintain essential water quality parameters, including pH levels, dissolved oxygen (DO), and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), which are critical for the optimal growth of tilapia. The system utilizes TDS sensors, Arduino Uno microcontrollers, NodeMCU for data processing, and LCD monitors for real-time data display. The findings indicate that this system effectively identifies water quality issues, such as high ammonia levels or unstable pH, thereby facilitating timely interventions. By addressing water quality challenges, the system supports sustainable fish farming practices and enhances the productivity of tilapia aquaculture
