This study examined the perceptions and implications of herdsmen and farmers bloody clashes on sustainability and economic growth in Nigeria; investigative journalism approach. The study employed a cross-sectional survey and qualitative research design in which 1000persons were interviewed to seek their perceptions on the effects of the feud. It was revealed that no party is happy with the irreparable consequences that ensued from the clash. It was shown that the herdsmen were misguided on the grazing routes which the Federal government insists on reviving or re-enacting when such routes or policy cannot be operational due to increasing human population, mechanized/commercial agricultural activities in modern days. The clash was also induced by born to rule ego, religious inclinations and mutual distrust. It does implies that persisting violence is a precursor to hunger/malnutrition, high cost of living, economic recession, civil war and disintegration of a volatile country. The crisis is persisting due to the lackadaisical/double standards attitude of government towards resolving the impasse on time. It has been seen that open grazing cannot continue in modern Nigeria. It has to be stopped for the implementation of ranching programmes. Government should intensify laws against criminality/ cattle rustlers and disarm both farmers-herdsmen of the arms they are parading everywhere. The constitutional role of government is to ensure that the rule of law prevails equally over all citizens in whatever trade, religion/ethnic background. There should be intensive media sensitisation on inter- ethnic and inter-religious tolerance and harmony in the country.

The Base of Pyramid markets in Sub-Saharan Africa face challenges such as poverty, poor infrastructure, illiteracy, and government corruption. This paper examines and presents an analytical review of the difficulties among consumers in Sub-Saharan Africa using academic institutions in Kenya to illustrate disruptive technology. Sub-Saharan Africa is faced with practical challenges with disruptive technology. Qualitative analysis is conducted among a sample from Kenya to assess the validity of challenges faced in academia. The authors use stratified sampling to select the local population and reach higher precision with a response rate of 85%. The qualitative analysis findings confirm a positive relationship between smart devices and network reliability, online teaching, online grade book, and virtual learning. The authors conclude that network reliability is the most challenging, especially for higher education institutions moving forward with adopting mobile learning. There exists a research gap in the literature on the Sub-Saharan Context. The challenges of disruptive technology and academia within Sub-Saharan Africa were limited to Kenya. Further research by practitioners and scholars can explore the challenges of disruptive technology in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Since Nigeria gained independence, its foreign policy has been guided by the pursuit of its national interests in bilateral and multilateral relationships. This has remained a reflection of Nigeria's understanding of the external environment and internal dynamics. A government's actions that deal with security, defence, international political ties, and international economic interactions are referred to as its foreign policy as a concept. In order for sovereign states to remain relevant within the context of modern global political economy, the post-cold war international system has highlighted the convergence of sovereign states as a desirable goal. In light of this, a state's relative benefits are primarily determined by the design, focus, and execution of its economic diplomacy. Nigeria's economic diplomacy primarily aims to diversify its economic foundation, increase its global market, draw in foreign investment, and control its debt. This study basically looked at how Nigeria's economic diplomatic interactions have influenced or otherwise hindered its development goals. The research focuses on Nigeria's external trade patterns, the draw of foreign investments, foreign loans, and management of external debt. The qualitative descriptive approach of data analysis revealed that the issue of Nigeria's development has not been considerably addressed by the country's foreign economic ties.

Developing nations are in dire need for socio-economic growth and development and this desired growth is determined by the economic structure, the political economy and the amount of strategic development plan with purposeful resolve of the National, State and Local governments. More so, development being a long-term, medium-term and sufficiently complemented by short-term plan/ or financial budgeting is paramount to the socio-economic advancement of every nation. Hence, the study examines issues surrounding socio-economic development in local government areas in Nigeria . It is the focus of this study to critically dissect the pivotal role of budgets in local government administration as a socio-economic development strategy of the Nigerian State. The lack of political will and lopsided political structure were found as explanations for the lack of socio-economic development at the local government level. Nigeria, being an independent country is standing on tripod government structure which necessitates the need for the federal, state and local governments to harness resources and efforts to restructure as well as diversify the Nigerian economy. The study also recommends that, local governments should enjoy financial autonomy to enable them participate in building the economy through the initiation and execution of developmental programmes for the local population.

Foreign Direct Investment has over the years been a critical player in economic growth of mot countries across the globe. One of the key aspects that have defined the success of FDIs is the intra-company loans, which act as a source of affordable, effective and accessible funding to the FDI projects. In Kenya, FDIs have been instrument in economic growth and development, and one of the industries they have been centred on is the real estate development projects. However, very little is known empirically on how FDIs through intra-company loans have contributed to the success of the sector, hence the motivation of this paper. Descriptive research design was used while the target population was the real estate companies in Westlands, Nairobi County. There are forty-eighty registered real estate companies in this area. The units of observation were the directors, finance officers and investment managers from the forty-eight companies. This made a total of one hundred and forty-four respondents. Purposive sampling method was employed where the company directors, finance officers and investment managers were purposively picked. The data was collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques. The findings revealed that intra-company loans significantly and positively influenced the performance of real estate development projects in Westlands Sub-County. Government policy was also found to significantly moderate the relationship between intracompany loans and performance of the real estate development projects. The study concluded that through intra-company loans, the real estate development projects performed better. It is therefore recommended that the real estate development companies through their management embrace FDIs through intra-company loans so as to stir the performance of their development projects.
