Abstract

Organic waste management in Kelusa Village, especially in Banjar Keliki Kawan, is a problem for the local community, due to the lack of public awareness of the environment, as well as inadequate facilities. To overcome these problems We carry out community service that focuses on organic waste management through the creation of Modern Teba. This activity aims to increase public awareness of environmental cleanliness and examples of making modern teba in order to reduce the negative impacts of organic waste that is not managed properly. The implementation method includes two main steps. First, socialization to the community to provide an understanding of the concept of Modern Teba, its benefits, and how to process organic waste into compost. Second, making examples of Modern Teba to inspire the community to apply this concept in their respective homes. The results of this community service activity show an increase in public awareness of the importance of organic waste management, increased public concern for environmental cleanliness, and understanding the process of managing and composting with modern Teba independently. Abstract

Community Service Activities Bina Desa Program in 2023, which is one of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Programs at Udayana University, takes place in one semester. This activity seeks to inventory and reconstruct the spatial elements and historical buildings of the past of the Mengwi Royal City based on information from sources, photos, and various other documents, then realized in an architectural three-dimensional image and animated video. In the implementation of this program, there were several problems related to the limited data obtained as guidelines for reconstruction, namely: (a) photo data that was difficult to interpret the location where it was taken; (b) information from the sources that was not always in line; (c) the limitations of the sources in remembering and providing information about the past; and (d) the existence of objects and areas that were never entered by the sources. Nevertheless, the activity implementation team finally succeeded in realizing a three-dimensional object description of the elements of the Mengwi Royal City heritage in the past as well as completing this activity.

Abstract

The waste management program in Desa Kuwum, specifically in Banjar Balangan and Balangan Kangin, addressed the community’s limited awareness and lack of infrastructure for waste segregation. Activities included socialization, education, training, and the distribution of waste segregation tools. Residents were introduced to Teba Modern for organic waste processing and Ecobricks for handling plastic waste. The program employed a participatory approach, encouraging active involvement from households. Initial results showed improved awareness and gradual adoption of waste segregation practices. Organic waste management and Ecobricks production demonstrated promising outcomes in fostering sustainable waste practices. This initiative highlights the importance of education, local resource utilization, and community engagement in advancing sustainable waste management efforts in rural settings.

Abstract

Waste is a big problem that is often faced in schools. The situation becomes worse because students do not know much about waste and how to process it. They also don't have many supporting facilities. Therefore, it is important for students to learn how to sort waste and avoid throwing waste carelessly. Starting from this problem, this community service initiative aims to provide a solution by informing people about the importance of maintaining cleanliness, managing and sorting organic and inorganic waste and using it to make compost. In practice, this initiative helps provide segregated waste bins. This service activity is carried out through a process of socialization, licensing, preparation, implementation and evaluation. As a result of this service activity, students better understand the importance of maintaining cleanliness, better understand how to sort waste independently, and better understand the benefits. Apart from that, SDN 2 Kelusa students learned about the benefits of 3R waste processing, which means reduce, use and return.

Abstract

This Technical Guidance (Bimtek) activity aimed to optimize the supervisory function of the Badung Regency DPRD in realizing the Mangupura City Plan. It was driven by the need to deepen understanding of spatial planning and address the challenges of Mangupura's transformation from a rural to an urban area. The implementation method included lecture sessions, interactive discussions, and participatory evaluations with a collaborative and inclusive approach. The results show a significant increase in participants' understanding of licensing systems, land-use conversion, infrastructure development, and updated zoning regulations. Discussions emphasized the DPRD's role in supervising development policies, mitigating socio-environmental impacts, and strengthening green open spaces. This activity highlights the importance of synergy between legislative bodies, local governments, academics, and communities in achieving sustainable and inclusive urban development. In conclusion, the Bimtek has made a substantial contribution to equipping policymakers with strategic insights for regional development.

Abstract

Packaging adds value for SMEs, especially Bali Fine Craft with its sustainable ecoprint products. This program aims to design eco-friendly packaging that supports brand identity and attracts consumers. Methods include situational analysis, initial design, prototype development, strength and visual tests, and limited implementation. Results show recycled kraft and reusable linen pouches support the slow fashion concept and receive positive feedback. Digital marketing and educational campaigns help spread sustainability values to consumers. This innovation is expected to boost competitiveness and customer loyalty.

Abstract

Antibiotics are drugs used to treat bacterial infections, but improper use can lead to the emergence of antibiotic resistance. This community service program was conducted at SMK Kasatrian Solo, located in Mendungan, Pabelan, Sukoharjo, where access to health education, especially regarding the correct use of antibiotics and self-medication practices, is still limited. The objectives of this program were to improve the knowledge of Pramuka (Scout) members about appropriate antibiotic use, reduce the risk of misuse, and develop youth cadres who are aware of antibiotic resistance and capable of educating their peers and communities. The educational intervention was delivered through participatory face-to-face sessions. The results showed that the Antibiotic and Self-Medication Education significantly increased participants' understanding of responsible antibiotic use and contributed to building awareness of rational drug behavior among students.

Abstract

The Coretax Administration System (CTAS) is designed to facilitate the administration, reporting, and payment of taxes online. However, at the regional level, the utilization of this digital service has not been fully optimized due to the existing digital divide, which hinders the community from accessing and using modern taxation services. This community service activity aims to enhance public literacy, particularly among MSME actors, enabling them to understand digital tax administration processes, improve reporting compliance, and support the government’s efforts to establish a more efficient, transparent, and participatory taxation system. Based on the results of the post-test, the activity has been successfully implemented with positive outcomes, demonstrating an increase in tax literacy knowledge and skills in using the digital tax reporting system. Additionally, the initiative to establish a “tax-aware MSME community” in Bira Village has emerged as a concrete output, strengthening the sustainability of this community service program.

Abstract

Self-confidence is a fundamental component in the development of students’ character, particularly in supporting Islamic preaching and communication skills. However, empirical conditions indicate that some students in Qur’anic Education Centers (TPQ) still experience challenges such as lack of confidence, anxiety in public performance, and limited public speaking ability. This community service program aims to enhance students’ self-confidence through mentoring-based muhadaroh training. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving stages of observation, material delivery, communication exercises, muhadaroh practice, and evaluation. The program involved 25 students of TPQ Al-Musyahadah. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in students’ confidence, communication skills, and courage in delivering Islamic messages orally. Therefore, muhadaroh training proves to be an effective strategy for character development and strengthening students’ communication competencies.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge of 5th and 6th grade students at SDN 2 Marga Agung regarding the dangers of smoking and vaping. The low level of student understanding regarding the harmful substances contained in cigarettes and the risk of becoming a passive smoker was the background for the implementation of this educational program. The activity was carried out on October 17, 2025, using interactive counseling methods, visual media, and question-and-answer sessions. Evaluation used pre-test and post-test administered to 98 students on questions 11–15 covering knowledge of nicotine, lung damage from cigarette smoke, passive smoking, and diseases caused by smoking. Results showed significant improvement in all indicators. Understanding of passive smoking increased most sharply from 61.2% to 87.8%. Overall, the average student score increased from 79.5 in the pre-test to 86.8 in the post-test. This program proved effective in improving students' health literacy regarding the dangers of smoking and vaping.
