Abstract

This study aims to analyze the excellent service practices applied by Bank Tapin employees and their influence on customer experience, perception, and trust. The method used is a qualitative approach with a type of case study through observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that excellent service at Bank Tapin in general has been running well, characterized by a friendly attitude, effective communication, empathy, and the ability to build positive interpersonal relationships with customers. Customer experiences and perceptions of service quality also tend to be positive, especially in the initial impression of service, information transparency, and transaction security guarantees. However, there are still several obstacles, such as long queue times, limited facilities, less than optimal digital services, and uneven employee competence in understanding complex banking products. The implementation of excellent service has proven to have a significant effect on building and maintaining customer trust, where professional attitude, service reliability, and transparency are the main factors. Despite some shortcomings, the quality of humanistic interaction is able to maintain the level of customer trust. Therefore, improvements are needed in the operational, technological, and human resource competencies to optimize service quality and strengthen customer loyalty in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of improving the quality of service and reliability of electricity distribution at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Mataram in the midst of increasing public demands for effective, efficient, and customer satisfaction-oriented public services. Total Quality Management (TQM) is one of the management approaches that is considered to be able to improve the quality of organizational performance through continuous improvement, customer focus, employee involvement, and overall quality control. This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of TQM on the performance of the distribution department at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Mataram and to find out the extent to which the implementation of TQM is able to improve the quality of electricity distribution services. The implementation of TQM affects the achievement of distribution performance indicators and service effectiveness at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Mataram which is the main focus of this research question.  A descriptive qualitative approach was applied in this study and data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interview activities as well as documentation and literature studies. The stages of data reduction and data presentation and conclusion drawing are used systematically to conduct data analysis. The positive impact on improving the performance of the distribution section is shown by the results of the research on the implementation of TQM. The decrease in the value of SAIDI from 161.65 to 130.52 minutes/customer and the decrease in the value of SAIFI from 2.06 to 1.79 times/customer as well as the decrease in the value of ENS from 728.22 MWh to 240.82 MWh show clear evidence of the improvement in operational performance. A significant decline was also experienced by negative feedback ratings and repeated complaints of disturbances in the field. Increasing operational effectiveness and the quality of electricity distribution services can be achieved optimally through the application of TQM principles such as continuous improvement and customer focus as well as teamwork and consistent quality control based on these scientific findings. The conclusion of this study shows that the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) has a positive effect on improving the performance of the distribution department at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Mataram. The implementation of TQM not only improves the quality of service and reliability of electricity distribution, but also strengthens customer satisfaction and operational efficiency of the company. This research contributes to the development of quality management and operational management science, especially in the public service and electricity sectors. The next study is recommended to use a quantitative approach or mixed method with a wider coverage of the area and add other variables such as organizational culture, leadership, and digital quality management to obtain more comprehensive result.

Abstract

The growth of social commerce makes home snack MSMEs need to organize offers that not only attract attention, but also be able to encourage an increase in the value of shopping carts in the transaction process which is greatly influenced by content and interaction. This article is compiled to summarize and synthesize the literature on product bundling and the mechanisms that explain its relationship with shopping cart value in the context of social commerce. Literature searches were conducted through the National Library, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect with keywords related to bundling, shopping cart value, live shopping, perceived value, and impulse purchases. The selection of sources is carried out in stages through the study of titles, abstracts, and full texts with publication limits for 2021-2025, in the form of relevant journals and books and the contents can be traced. The collected data is compiled into a matrix containing definitions, indicators, contexts, approaches, and key findings, then analyzed using a thematic-comparative synthesis. The results of the study show that bundling functions as an offering design that strengthens perceived value and simplifies consumer choice; The live shopping environment features the roles of social presence, trust, and flow related to impulse buying; and there is a difference in research outputs between purchase intention and the size or value of the shopping cart. This article confirms that bundling has the opportunity to help increase the value of the shopping basket when positioned as a value booster in the social shopping experience. The implication is that MSMEs need to maintain clarity of package value, suitability of composition, and consistency of promotional messages, so that bundling not only looks more economical, but is also easy to choose and really felt useful by consumers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze traders’ strategies for maintaining family financial stability in the digital age from the perspective of Islamic business ethics through a comparative study at the Central Market and Senenan Tanggul Market in Jember. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive-comparative method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation of purposively selected active traders. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that the financial stability of traders’ families is determined by three main factors: digital adaptability, effective financial management, and the application of Islamic business ethics. Traders at Pasar Induk demonstrate a higher level of digital adaptability through the use of social media and digital platforms, enabling them to expand their market reach and increase income by approximately 20–25%. In contrast, merchants at Senenan Tanggul Market are still dominated by conventional systems, which result in limited market access and stagnant income. Furthermore, the application of Islamic business ethics principles—such as honesty, fairness, and trustworthiness—has been shown to increase consumer trust and support business sustainability. This study concludes that the integration of digitalization and Islamic business ethics is an effective strategy for maintaining the financial stability of traders’ families. However, the digital literacy gap, limited capital, and access to technology remain major obstacles that require policy intervention through training and the empowerment of traditional traders.

Abstract

E-commerce has changed the way people shop, and among the many factors shaping a buyer's final decision, price and promotion are usually considered the two that matter most. This study examines how price and promotion, both individually and jointly, influence the purchase decisions of university students who use the Shopee application in Denpasar City, with students of STIMI Handayani as the research subject. A quantitative associative approach was used, and data were gathered through a Likert-scale questionnaire completed by 151 respondents, then analyzed with multiple linear regression in SPSS 25. The results show that price has a positive and significant partial effect on purchase decisions (B = 0.477, p = 0.000), and so does promotion (B = 0.510, p = 0.000). Considered together, the two variables also show a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions (F = 132.187, p = 0.000), with promotion coming out slightly ahead of price in relative influence. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.641) shows that price and promotion together account for 64.1% of the variance in purchase decisions, leaving 35.9% to factors not captured in this model.

Abstract

Human capital development and labor law protection are essential components in building a fair, productive, and sustainable employment ecosystem. In Indonesia, rapid economic transformation, technological advancement, labor market flexibility, and the emergence of new employment models have created opportunities as well as challenges for workers and employers. This study aims to examine the relationship between human capital development and labor law protection in Indonesia and to analyze how both dimensions can contribute to the establishment of a fair and sustainable employment ecosystem. This research employs a qualitative approach using normative juridical and conceptual analysis, focusing on Indonesian labor regulations, human capital development policies, and relevant academic literature. The analysis indicates that human capital development should not be limited to improving workers' knowledge and technical competencies but must also encompass access to decent employment, social protection, equal opportunities, occupational safety, and legal certainty. Meanwhile, effective labor law protection serves as an institutional foundation for ensuring that investment in human capital generates equitable benefits for workers, employers, and the broader economy. Weak regulatory implementation, disparities in access to skills development, informal employment, and the changing nature of work remain significant challenges. Therefore, stronger harmonization between human capital policies and labor regulations is required through competency-based education, lifelong learning, effective labor inspection, social protection, and adaptive legal frameworks. The study concludes that integrating human capital development with labor law protection can strengthen worker productivity, reduce employment inequality, enhance legal certainty, and support an inclusive and sustainable labor market in Indonesia.
