Abstract

Violence against women continues to increase every year, Komnas Perempuan hopes for the ratification of the RUU PKS (Constitutional’s Draft of Eliminating Sexual Violence) to protect victims. But in reality RUU PKS continues to be pros and cons, one of the ways that can be done to voicing minorities is through mass media such as films. Influenced by patriarchal social conditions, it needs to be seen how Indonesian films presenting the theme of violence against women, it is necessary to see how Indonesian films present the theme of violence against women, whether it is told from the point of view of women or men. The study entitled "Representation of Violence Against Women in " 27 Steps of May "aims to describe the depiction of violence against women in the film 27 Steps of May and see the dominant ideology in the text. The theory used in this research is Standpoint Theory to see whether there is women's resistance shown in scenes of sexual violence. This research is descriptive study using a qualitative approach with John Fiske's semiotic analysis method through 3 levels of analysis, the level of reality, the level of representation and the level of ideology. The results of this research at the reality level showing stereotypes of women so that they can become objects of sexual violence. At the representation level, it shows that rape scenes were made using a male perspective and objectifying women's bodies.At the ideological level, patriarchal ideology is seen with the assumption that women can be owned by men and are part of men, there is also gender ideologies that shape social values by generating discrimination primarily on women. The researcher suggests to provide variations on similar research to see audience acceptance on the issue of violence, then the community can reflect on it to see gender construction. Through this study, researchers also saw the need for film workers to explore the roles of women not only under male domination.

Abstract

Along with the development of the internet, most people from any stage of ages used social media more than ever. As the growth of social media users, the number of cyberbullying cases had also increased. Social media as a disseminator of information that can be reached by all the people in the world had become the main place for cyberbullying. Among all ages, young people are the most engaged in cyberbullying. Not only had done alone, this behavior also had done in group. The purpose of this study is to know how much the influence of intensity of social media use and peer group conformity level towards the level of cyberbullying behavior. This study had been explained by Uses and Gratification Theory by Elihu Katz, Herbert Blumbler dan Jay G. Gurevitch. This study was used probability sampling technique and multistage random sampling. The population in this study was the people of Banjarnegara City who are active user of social media around age 18-24 years old. Data analysis was used simple linear regression for the first and the second hypothesis and multiple linear regression for the third hypothesis. The results of this study show a hypothesis about the positive influence between intensity of social media use towards the level of cyberbullying behavior with 0,448 of coefficients correlations value, the positive influence between peer group conformity level towards the level of cyberbullying behavior with 0,310 of coefficients correlations value, and the positive influence between intensity of social media use and peer group conformity level towards the level of cyberbullying behavior. With a strong enough level of adherence with 5,145 of significance and a large influence on intensity of social media use and peer group conformity level by 21,7% towards the level of cyberbullying behavior.

Abstract

Pesantren or Islamic Boarding School is one of education alternative institution for children. Based on regulations that is applied in Pesantren as general, children are required to live there without any contact from outside pesantren and also not allowed to use communication technology. Change in communication experienced by parents and children can cause consequences for the relationship between both of them. This research aims to describe the experiences of parents and children living in Islamic boarding schools in maintaining intimate relationships. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with interpretive paradigm and phenomenological approach. The theories used include Relational Dialects Theory, Relationship Maintenance Theory and Family Relationship Scheme Theory. Data in this research is collected through in depth interviews to three pairs of parents and children from different pesantren. The research showed that parents and children maintain relationship by maintaining communication via telephone provided by pesantren and commiting face to face meeting during parents-child visit. Parents and children share news and feelings each other regularly to maximize parents-child interaction time. Children ever experienced upleasant feeling whaen they are far away from parents and tried to run away with several plans made. Parents do not just let kids alone but also keep an eye on their children by maintaining communication with each other and asking how their condition in Pesantren. Parents constantly provide support, advice and attention so their children feel cared and motivated in their education. In addition, famalies open up each other by conveying news, feelings and their development of the latest activities carried out by each member. Parents and children also commit acts of affection by expressing directly, kissing, hugging and expressing love in their own way to maintain relationship between parents and children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of the use of online media and brand image with Consumer Loyalty of Suara Merdeka Newspaper. The population in this study is Semarang residents who subscribe to the Suara Merdeka newspaper. The results showed that the intensity of the use of online media does not have a significant effect with the consumer loyalty of Suara Merdeka newspaper as indicated by the significance value 0,295 (>0,05) so the first hypothesis is rejected. Then the second hypothesis test was obtained that the brand image have a significant effect with the consumer loyalty of Suara Merdeka newspaper because the test results showed a significance value 0,028 (<0,05) so that the second hypothesis was accepted

Abstract

The problem communication such as misunderstanding, there is no feedback, and the ineffectiveness of a message often occurs while the company communicates or interacts with stakeholders, moreover runs the CSR program. The problems of communication above affected one of the CSR goals that cannot achieve in the maximum. It is CSR can improve the living standards of people that are living in the region around the company like happened in the District of North Semarang because it has the highest poverty rate in the Semarang city. Not achieve the CSR objectives will because residents who live around the company have poor judgments against the company and have no trust against the company and so, causes a poor reputation against the company. Moreover, if the company has excessive gas emission and one of them is PT. Indonesia Power Semarang PGU. The research has a purpose determines if there is a relations between the effectiveness of interpersonal communication done by the facilitator of CSR and the level of trust beneficiaries with the reputation company of PT. Indonesia Power Semarang PGU. This research is a quantitative research using the theory of the effectiveness of communication interpersonal and theory of reasoned action (TRA). Sample this research is Group guidance of PT. Indonesia Power Semarang PGU that the Joint Business Group (KUB) Prima Indosutera in the District of North Semarang. Based on the results of the research is, the effectiveness of interpersonal communication and the level of trust beneficiaries have significant relations to the company’s reputation. The things above showed through the significance value of the hypothesis test performed, more effective the communication interpersonal has done so, the company’s reputation is better (positive) that such a hypothesis has a significance value of 0.000 (0,000 s of 0.01).

Abstract

iNews TV Semarang is a local television station under the corporation of the MNC Group along with RCTI Network Jawa Tengah and MNC TV Semarang. The MNC Group’s desire to decrease the operational costs of its local television station in Central Java then brought up an integration system for local television in Semarang that consists of iNews TV Semarang, RCTI Network Jawa Tengah, and MNC TV Semarang. This integration system means that those local television stations have to share their newsroom in the same building. With the high demand for news on third television, the commodification of news has emerged as a solution to limited resources owned by the integrated newsroom of iNews TV Semarang. The form of news commodification can be seen from some similar news that are broadcasted on the three televisions. In principle, this commodification practice violates the principle of diversity of content, which demands a content diversity from various televisions. The existence of local television which is regulated in Undang-Undang Nomor 50 tahun 2005 concerning Private Institution Broadcasting is actually intended to create diversity of content on various existing private television stations. In this case, the news as the object of commodification and similarly displayed on the three MNC Group televisions shows that there is no diversity of content, so the principle of diversity of content is not fulfilled. This study was designed to describe the process of news commodification in the integrated newsroom at iNews TV Semarang. In analyzing the process of commodification, this study uses the concept of commodification in the Political Economy Theory by Vincent Mosco. This research uses a critical theory paradigm with a descriptive type and uses a case study method. The results of this study were obtained by conducting interviews with 6 informants involved in the news commodification process in the integrated newsroom iNews TV Semarang. In addition, the results of this study were also obtained from researchers' observations to the media routines of iNews TV Semarang, specifically in the news production process. The results showed that there are four patterns of commodification that happened in the integrated newsroom at iNews TV Semarang. First, the commodification of content as an effort to increase use value, where news can be used by all three televisions at once which are iNews TV Semarang, MNC TV Semarang, and RCTI Network Jawa Tengah. Second, the commodification of content as an effort to increase the exchange rate where news is transformed into something that can provide benefits for the newsroom. Third, immanent commodification as an effort to combine some different commodities, which are the news, into a new commodity or news.

Abstract

The toll road development is a government program in an effort to equalize development in Indonesia. The development of toll road infrastructure, one of which is the Yogyakarta - Solo Toll Road, it is an important element in accelerating population mobility, and has a positive impact on economic development and growth. This study aims to describe what the team and community responses are doing in the process of disseminating compensation for land acquisition for the construction of the Yogyakarta - Solo Toll Road, and describing the community feedback to see what the team and the community are doing in socialization of the Yogyakarta – Solo Toll Road. The research method uses descriptive qualitative with primary data sources from interviewees as many as 6 people, secondary data was taken from relevant documents, as for data analysis used ethnography. 2 The results of the study show: (1) Socialization was carried out by the preparation team without discussing the price of compensation. (2) the community is very enthusiastic and has approved the construction of the Yogyakata - Solo Toll Road. (3) Community feedback on the socialization of the construction Yogyakarta - Solo Toll Road

Research perception to know the audience to channel video on youtube Kimi Hime. Theory used for this study is a theory reception analysis Stuart Hall. Type research qualitative study used is the type 5 people from one subject men and women having intensity often also accessed the interaction youtube video providers, or seen channel game on youtube was 20 and 25 years with age has included adult and not youth. Then analysis data was undertaken to find preferred reading. Based on the research and analysis undertaken, so the audience Kimi Hime to video that is on youtube are mostly respondents position himself as oppositional-reading, because vulgar an impressed in her appearance. Limitations in this study is the theory used in this research only one that is the reception analysis theory Stuart Hall. For the next research, required to be added other theory as a supporter of reception analysis theory Stuart Hall.

Abstract

Basically, the therapeutic relationship between doctor and patient must be managed in such a way as to provide good health outcomes to patients. To make it happen, good communication competence is needed by doctors besides only relying on their knowledge to treat. This research is motivated by the existence of communication problems found in the scope of health, such as cases of malpractice due to a lack of explanation for the provision of health information by doctors, lack of humanist character of doctors to unidirectional communication models by doctors which ultimately lead to bad perceptions regarding communication services provided by doctors. doctors in Indonesia. This study aims to understand how the patterns of interaction in the therapeutic relationship between doctors and patients and to understand what are the obstacles that often occur in the therapeutic relationship between doctors and patients. This research refers to an interpretive paradigm with a phenomenological approach. The theory used in this research is the (Expectacy Violation Theory / EVT) theory by Judee Burgoon and the theory of Relational Dialetics by Lexlie Baxter and Barbara Montgomery. The data collection technique used in this study was indepth interviews with research subjects doctors and patients. The results of this study revealed that there are four stages in the therapeutic tangle between doctor and patient that is, pre-interaction, orientation, work(working)and termination, where the stages of working is at the core of the fabric of the therapeutic. The relationship between doctors and patients is created because of the attraction so that the pattern of therapeutic interactions in this study refers to the principle of complementarity. In this study, there are 5 main aspects that are the key to how the relationship between doctor and patient can be managed properly, namely empathy, trust, openness or openness, unconditional positive attention and also equality. Meanwhile, the obstacles to the therapeutic relationship felt by doctors and patients in this study were in certain contexts and situations, such as when discussing complaints and during the doctor's visit.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of each variable, sales promotion exposure (X1), brand image (X2) and customer value (X3) on consumer loyalty in the OVO application (Y). In this study using quantitative research methods. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling with a total sample of 50 respondents using the OVO application in Semarang. The analysis used to test the hypothesis is a simple linear regression test. Hypothesis testing shows sales promotion exposure to consumer loyalty is 0.000 (<0.05), so there is an effect of sales exposure on consumer loyalty. The result of the significant value of brand image on consumer loyalty is 0.001 (<0.05), so there is an effect of brand image on consumer loyalty. While the significant value of customer value on customer loyalty is 0.037 (<0.05), so there is an effect of customer value on customer loyalty.
