Abstract

AbstractIndustrial Park BSB City, Mijen-Semarang has concept as green technology industrial park. There’s 11 industry producting wastewater in existing area at this time. The industrial wastewater flow to drainage without any treatment which make odours at industrial park area. PT Karyadeka Alam Lestari as developer industrial would be like to build wastewater treatment plant which treat all wastewater industries therefore it needs Masterplan Management System Wastewater Industry At Industrial Park BSB City, Mijen-Semarang. This masterplan designing based on industrial park masterplan finished 2025.

Abstract

Rain water is one source of raw water that can be utilized to fulfill the basic needs of communities clean water. Essentially, rain water has good quality, but it is not the case if it is housed in a rain water storage. However, by using a combination of processing technology Gravity and Horizontal Roughing Filter (GRF-HRF) is expected to increase the value of the feasibility of rainwater that can be utilized. The research was conducted to determine the feasibility of water in rainwater storage qualify as a source of clean water or drinking water, determine the level of turbidity and total suspended solids (TSS) that contained in the rainwater on the rainwater storage, determine the ability of roughing filter combination of gravity and horizontal flow capable of processing water in rainwater storage to be able to meet water quality standards. The research method used in this study by conducting a literature review and analyzing data by using Microsoft Office Excel and SPSS 12.0. From the analysis of the data it is known that the quality of rainwater samples in the rainwater storage on Seruni Village, Musuk, Boyolali, do not qualify as a source of clean water or drinking water. It is based on a large sample test results in five different locations showed the highest level of turbidity of 76.84 NTU NTU and the lowest 23.25. While the content of total suspended solids showed the highest value of 380 mg / l and the lowest 180mg / l. Large decrease in the efficiency of turbidity in the flow variation 5ml / s is 90.67%, the variation of flow of 10 ml / s was 98.30%, and the variation of flow 15 ml / s was 87.88%. Removal efficiency of total suspended solids (TSS) on the variation of flow 5ml / s is 90.91%, the variation of flow of 10 ml / s was 98.45%, and the variation of flow 15 ml / s was 88.23%. There is the influence of variations in flow of the roughing filter efficiency performance in reducing levels of turbidity and total suspended solids.

Abstract

AbstractHeavy metal contamination of waste containing lead (Pb) and chromium (Cr) is a serious problem on the current environmental conditions. Many industries that lead to increased pollution of water sources from waste discharged into waters without first processing. One of the processing environment is contaminated with lead and chromium phytoremediation technology. Plants absorb Pb and Cr potentially one of the plant water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica). The study was conducted to determine how much decrease in the concentration of lead (Pb) and chromium (Cr) and for analysis of wet plant water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) and the long residence time of optimum to reduce waste containing concentrations of lead (Pb) and chromium (Cr) . Results of the study was a large decrease in Pb concentration of 0.5 mg/l and 0.8 mg/l by the swamp water, reaching 0.001 mg/l and 0.034 mg/l. While the decline in the concentration of Cr 1.5 mg/l and 2 mg/l was 0.25 mg/l and 0.623 mg/l. Analysis of wet kale optimum water is 100 grams. The method of absorption of Pb and Cr concentrations by water spinach is rhizofiltrasi and fitoekstraksi.

Abstract

Leachate concentration for Pb and Mn parameters from TPA Ngronggo, Salatiga  are exceed equal to Perda Jateng No. 5/ 2012, consentration of this parameters are  0,75 mg/l and 14,1 mg/l. Contamination of heavy metals are spreads from water soil current to landfill region. This landfill used controlled landfill method. Formation of lining system are gravel, geotextile, geomembrane, compacted clay, and soil. The result from monitoring well are suspicion because of transport contaminant from landfill are attain to 7,1m of depth. Simulation of this phenomena can use Pollutev.7 software, we can see 1,5 dimensional of the result. Prediction consentration for 15 years are Pb 0,6728 and Mn 12,5 mg/l.

Abstract

Sanggrahan landfill is a final processing contained in Temanggung County and is located in the village district Sanggrahan Kranggan with ± 2.6 ha of land. Existing condition Sanggrahan landfill has 2 zones of active landfill conditions now beginning to fill because the garbage has already reached 80%. The condition is caused by the use of the concept of waste management at the Sanggrahan landfill still use the concept of Controlled Landfill. The limited land, and reduction and infrastructure support in the landfill resulted in less optimal waste management, so that it will cause a negative impact on the environment around the landfill. This is the main problem with increasing waste generation from population growth and has not found new land instead. To reduce the negative impact and optimizing available landfill and extend the use of the landfill, it is necessary to waste management with the concept of Sanitary Landfill, and the addition of landfill infrastructure.

Abstract

Black water in Indonesia most still not yet been done  processing. Therefore needed the existence of a research about effectiveness processing of black water use UASB. This research, parameter to check only BOD, COD, and TSS. Parameters is based on some parameters dominant existing in waste water domestic. Variation HLR  is 0,06 m³/m²/jam, 0,04 m³/m²/jam, and 0,03 m³/m²/jam, COD concentration variation is 2347 mg / l for low concentration, 3000 mg / l for the mid concentration and 3800 mg / l for high concentration. From result of analysis got result of degradation BOD, COD, and TSS. Its Result, For the BOD degradation efficiency ranges 27,71 - 53,58%, for the COD degradation efficiency ranges 35,26 - 52,71%, and for the TSS degradation efficiency ranges 35,38 - 76,36%.

Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya pertumbuhan industri dari skala kecil hingga skala besar mengakibatkan peningkatan pula terhadap jumlah buangan yang dihasilkan. Pada studi kasus ini adalah limbah industri pembuatan tahu. Salah satu bahan pencemar yang terdapat di dalam limbah tahu ini adalah kandungan TDS. Teknik yang digunakan adalah  pembentukan biofilm menggunakan media biofilter kerikil hasil letusan gunung merapi dalam bentuk random. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan  aplikasi dari proses biofilm dalam penurunan kadar TDS dalam limbah tahu serta efisiensi penurunan dari konsentrasi tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan 4 buah reaktor dengan sistem kontinyu serta memvariasikan waktu tinggal dalam reaktor. Adapun waktu tinggal yang digunakan adalah 60, 45, 30, dan 15 jam. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, didapatkan hasil bahwa penurunan konsentrasi TDS mencapai 91,23%. Dengan nilai penurunan untuk TDS dari 975 mg/l menjadi 73 mg/l.

Abstract

Pasar Jati Banyumanik is a market which located in the middle of Perumnas Banyumanik area. The development of Banyumanik area increased resident and so the  level of consumption from year to year. With the increasing level of public consumption then the amount of organic solid waste in Pasar Jati Banyumanik increased too. The vegetable solid waste growing need more attention  so it can be utilized. As an alternative organic solid waste is using worm or vermicompost technology. The purpose of this study is to determine the content of macro nutrient from the vermicompost with vegetables used as worm food.

Abstract

This research is taken by sample of Banjir kanal Timur. It is conducted by research in order to know the effect of fluctuations in salinity on nitrification, in this research, separating ammonium is conducted by  giving variations of salinity content which is different on each bacteria and reactor. It would be returned to the source of orifice, that is 0,5% of the result. In high salinity, bacteria cannot degrade  ammonium fast, but it can be fast if when it is returned to the source salinity, so by that experiment, we can say characteristic of salinity toxic is temporary in process separating ammonium. In even 0%-3% salinity, bacteria can degrade ammonium well so bacteri which is taken of banjir kanal Timur can be applied to recycle waste which has 0%-3% salinity fluctuation.

Abstract

ABSTRACTNowadays the society of Middle Semarang, East Semarang, Gayamsari, and Genuk subdistrict are using on site system with water closet for sanitation infrastructure and throw away the grey water to drainage. Domestic waste water management isn’t in line with growth population and city function development, and as the concequence is environment quality degradation. This research is for knowing domestic waste water management condition from four subdistricts with investigate five aspects (organization, operational, funding, legal, and society participation). The result of operational aspect analysis is off site system for Middle Semarang, East Semarang, Gayamsari, and partly of Genuk. Whereas on site system with septic tank can be applied at Trimulyo, Terboyo Wetan, and Terboyo Kulon (Genuk subdistrict). Funding aspect alternative is  partly of APBD and partly of society toll and organize local independent group which controlling finance management. The result of organization aspect analysis alternative is a organization concept from city level till RW. Based on SWOT analysis for legal and society participation is produce an legal concept, increase socialiszation to society and involve private participation.
