Abstract

Muslimah teenagers play a vital role as the nation’s future generation while also carrying the responsibility of preserving Islamic values in the midst of modern challenges. This study aims to analyze the understanding of Muslimah students at SMAN 1 Sangatta Selatan regarding faith, health, and education, as well as to examine the influence of the Friday Rohis (Islamic Spiritual Program) activities in enhancing their spiritual awareness and religiosity. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews with Muslimah students and Islamic teachers, and documentation of activities. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the Friday Rohis program significantly contributes to shaping students’ understanding of the importance of balancing faith, health, and education. The success of the program is supported by the school’s strong commitment, adequate facilities, and learning approaches that are relevant to teenage life. However, challenges remain in terms of teaching methods and classroom management, which need improvement to create a more conducive learning environment. In conclusion, the Friday Rohis program serves as an empowerment platform for Muslimah students to build a religious, intelligent, and well-characterized identity, enabling them to face the demands of modern times without losing their Islamic values

Abstract

Digital citizenship has become a fundamental competency for students navigating increasingly complex digital environments. Nevertheless, its integration into Islamic Religious Education remains underexplored. This study aims to develop a conceptual model for integrating digital citizenship education with Islamic ethical principles to foster responsible digital behavior among Muslim students. A mixed-method design was employed involving surveys of 436 students, interviews with teachers, and focus group discussions with educational experts. Quantitative data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling, while qualitative findings were examined through thematic analysis. The results reveal that digital citizenship education integrated with Islamic values significantly enhances students’ digital responsibility, media literacy, online ethics, cyber safety awareness, and respectful digital communication. Students also demonstrate greater critical evaluation of online religious content and increased resistance to misinformation and hate speech. The novelty of this research lies in proposing the Islamic Digital Citizenship Education Model, integrating digital competence, Qur'anic ethics, civic responsibility, and media literacy into a unified framework for Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

The development of the metaverse introduces new possibilities for immersive, interactive, and collaborative educational experiences. However, scholarly discussions regarding its application in Islamic Religious Education remain scarce. This study aims to explore the pedagogical potential of metaverse technology in creating meaningful Islamic learning experiences while preserving religious values. A design-based research methodology was implemented through prototype development, expert validation, pilot implementation, and user evaluation involving teachers and university students. Data were collected through usability testing, interviews, learning achievement assessments, and user experience surveys. The findings indicate that metaverse-based learning enhances student engagement, collaborative interaction, experiential understanding of Islamic history, and practical learning of religious rituals through virtual simulation. Nevertheless, issues related to accessibility, digital ethics, infrastructure readiness, and religious authenticity require careful consideration. The novelty of this study lies in introducing the Islamic Metaverse Learning Ecosystem, an instructional framework integrating immersive technology, Islamic pedagogy, collaborative learning, and ethical digital engagement for future Islamic education.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 paradigm emphasizes the harmonious integration of advanced technologies with human-centered values to address increasingly complex societal challenges. Islamic Religious Education is expected to contribute not only to students’ religious understanding but also to the development of competencies required for sustainable human civilization. This study aims to formulate a human-centered Islamic learning model aligned with the principles of Society 5.0. A qualitative conceptual research design was adopted through literature synthesis, policy analysis, and expert consultation. The findings demonstrate that Islamic Religious Education can effectively promote creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, digital competence, ethical leadership, and social responsibility when integrated with contemporary pedagogical innovations. Furthermore, Islamic values provide a strong ethical foundation for balancing technological advancement with human dignity and environmental sustainability. The novelty of this study lies in developing the Society 5.0 Islamic Education Framework, integrating future competencies, technological literacy, sustainable development, and Islamic moral values into a comprehensive educational paradigm
