Abstract

In radiation utilization, the regulation should be applied to minimize radiation dose received by the officer in order not to exceed the provision of Dose Limit Value based on BAPETEN Regulation No. 4 of 2013 that the average of equivalent dose is ≤50 mSv/year and ≤20 mSv for five-year period. The purpose of this study was to analyze the external radiation dose received by each officer at Radiotherapy Installation RSUP dr.Hasan Sadikin Bandung based on the NBD that has been determined. The equivalent dose values were obtained from the Thermoluminisence Dosemeter (TLD) of each officer over a five-year period from 2012 to 2016 that had been read by using a TLD reader. Then the radiation exposure measured by using a surveymeter with a distance of 3 meters from each teleterapi aircraft with radioactive sources to predict the distance factor between officers and radiation sources. The results showed that teleterapi operators received the highest equivalent dose in a five-year period with a dose value of 0.206 mSv/year, then in 2013 the external radiation dose received by officers and medical physicists reached the highest value when compared to another officers, with the average value of equivalent dose was 0.085 mSv/year and 0.55 μSv/hour. If observed from the distance factor, in 2013 each officer tends to come near to the source of radiation at every working hour. All radiotherapy officers at RSUP dr.Hasan Sadikin Bandung from 2012 to 2016 received a safe radiation dose and not exceed the NBD determined by BAPETEN. Keywords: Dose Limit Value, External Radiation Dose, Equivalent Dose, Distance

Abstract

The research was done to process 2D seismic data by Pre Stack Depth Migration (PSDM) method on Field “AV”. The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriate interval velocity model for PSDM methods work. Interval velocity model obtained from the initial estimate using coherency inversion velocity model is usually not convergent. Interval velocity model should be improved through several stages in order to speed the estimated value closer to the value of actual speed. Some initial interval velocity model parameters should be improved to be more sensitive to lateral velocity variations for PSDM. The method used to improve the velocity model is horizon-based tomography with the concept of ray tracing. These methods made improvements to the speed and geometry of the reflector layer to produce a new interval velocity model. Model errors must be corrected by residual moveout analysis. The best analysis obtained from the fifth iteration to eliminated errors and increased depth value gathers. The exact value of the speed made a good quality image. The results of this research was PSDM Section or PSDM cross-section. The quality of PSDM cross-section was good enough to represented geological structures in the earth's sub surface. Keywords: PSDM, interval velocity model, horizon-based tomography, ray tracing, residual moveout analysis.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relation between changes of polarization angle and increased levels of cholesterol and triglycerides on palm oil (expired palm oil, edible palm oil) to the change of polarization angle. Samples were placed on a polarimeter with a light source of 100 W incandescent lamp. The results showed that the increase in the cholesterol is directly proportional to the change in polarization angle. The greater increase of cholesterol levels result in the greater of the change of polarization angles that showed in the non linier graph. The value of the change of polarization angle in expired palm oil, edible palm oil are θ cholesterol = 0,26⁰; 0,25⁰ for cholesterol and θ triglycerides = 1,19⁰ ; 0,6⁰ for triglycerides, respectively. So it can be seen that the increase of each change of polarization angle of triglyceride which is the difference of θ total with θ cholesterol are affected by the increase of cholesterol levels in the cooking oils. The volatile property of the solvent and the less stabil environment temperature also could affected the result of the study.

Abstract

A thin layer of ZnO:Co was deposited on a glass substrate using a spray coating method with the addition of Co doping variations of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. The ZnO:Co thin film is further used to degrade the Direct Blue 71 dye solution under sunlight irradiation. ZnO:Co solution was synthesized by dissolving Zinc acetate dehydrate (ZnAc) into isopropanol and then added monoethanolamine (MEA) and cobalt nitrate at room temperature with concentration of ZnAc 0.3M and molar ratio of MEA and ZnAc of 1:1. Then the stirred solution used a magnetic stirrer at a temperature of 70oC for 30 minutes to obtain a clear and homogeneous gel. Gel ZnO:Co is placed on a spray hole and then sprayed on a heated glass substrate at 400oC. The optical properties of the ZnO:Co coating were characterized using UV-Vis spectroscopy. The results showed that the addition of Co doping on a thin layer of ZnO resulted in an increasingly high absorbance in the Co doping sample at a concentration of 15%. In addition, the greater concentration of Co will decrease the value of the energy band gap. The results of photodegradation test of Direct Blue 71 dye solution on ZnO:Co photocatalyst were able to degrade dye by 16% of entire samples .Keywords: Photocatalyst, Thin film ZnO:Co, Spray Coating, Direct Blue 71
