Abstract

There are some variety of investment instruments that exist as an alternative option for investors to invest their assets, one of it is a mutual fund. Mutual funds are a solution for the investors who have problems such as limited capital, information, capability and time to invest. This research conducted to examine the relationship between the performance of equity mutual fund with Sharpe’s measure with variables that affect it includes stock selection skill and market timing ability using two methods, which are Treynor-Mazuy method and Henriksson-Merton method. The data used in this research are monthly data on Net Asset Value (NAV), SBI and IHSG of 16 sample of equity mutual funds for 2010-2014.             The reasearch shows that partially stock selection skill and market timing ability using the Treynor-Mazuy method have a significant positive impact to the performance of equity mutual fund. So as partially stock selection skill and market timing ability using the Henriksson-Merton method also have significant positive impact to the performance of equity mutual fund.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the role of Batak leadership style in the  company, which waslead by Batak’s leader. The purpose of this research was to know the understanding and view of the owner of the company to Batak’s leadership. Starts from identifying leader and employee perception on the practice leadership based on the values in the Batak’s culture.Batak’s culture which was the root of the Batak society, had essential part in the character building of the leader in Indonesia. The practice leadership based on the value in the Bataks culture become an integral part in the Bataks leadership practice in company.This study uses qualitative methods in which data collection was the role of Bataks leadership. The sample in this study were workers who have work experience of minimal 5 years at Ganesha Operation Medan. Results obtained from this study states that of the three elements of Bataks culture those are somba Marula-ula, Elek Marboru and Manat Mardongan Tubu already   reflects   the   role   of   Bataks   culture   in   the Ganesha Operation Medan

Abstract

The competitiveness of mobile phone stores and phone deposit outlets in Semarang are not attractive enough to the writer’s opinion. Owners should know and understand the need of their consumers. They choose Supply Chain Management as a strategy to enhance outlets’ operational and performance. The strategy is also aimed to increase the competitiveness of the business in the market. The research is aimed at analysing the impact of independent variables such as Information Sharing, Long Term Relationship, Cooperation and Process Integration to the dependent variables of the outlets’ performance.The population of the research consists of 171 outlets. The samples used in the research are 120 outlets owners in Semarang. Doubled linear analysis is used on this research. The writer used SPSS 16 for Windows as data processor tool.The result of the research explains that Information Sharing positively giving no significance toward outlets’ performance. In other hand, Long Term Relationship gives positive impact and significant to the outlets’ performance. The better Long Term Relationship between a mobile phone outlet and a distributor will improve the performance of the outlets. However, Cooperation positively giving no significance toward outlets’ performance. The better Integration Process between a mobile phone outlet and a distributor will help increasing the outlets’ performance.

Abstract

Purchase Decision is an act that begins with the perception of a product and aninterest in buying the product. In this modern era of increasingly fierce competition among products, this is what causes the decline in purchasing decisions due to the effectiveness of advertising and brand equity is less effective at LUX products. This decline marked by the decline in market share. This study aimed to analyze the influence of variables advertising effectiveness, brand equity and buying interest on purchasing decisions and are expected to increase the return rate LUX product purchasing decisions. Methods of data collection were performed using non-probability sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires from multiple data sources responder community in Semarang, using the data  of  192  respondents.  And  the  results  of  data  processing  using  SEM  (Structural Equation Modeling) through AMOS program.The test results from these studies show that the variable attractiveness of advertising has influence positive and significant impact on the advertising effectiveness , the variable advertising effectiveness also has the effect of positive and significant impact on brand equity. And variable advertising effectiveness and brand equity, positive effect on the variable purchase interest, followed by a variable Brand Equity and Purchase Interest also significant and has positive influence in intreasing the purchasing decision.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect arising from the brand ambassador, product quality and price of brand image and its influence on purchase decisions of face care Garnier. Variables used in this study are brand ambassador, product quality and price as the independent variables, then brand image as intervening variable and purchase decisions as the dependent variable. The sample in this study of 200 respondents is derived from consumer face care Garnier in Semarang city. The method used is accidental sampling by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. In this study developed a theoretical model to propose six hypotheses to be tested using analysis tools Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which is operated through a program AMOS 22.0Based on the results of data processing for the SEM full model has met the criteria of goodness of fit as follows, the value of chi-square = 97.759; probability = 0.099; RMSEA = 0.032; CMIN / DF = 1.207; GFI = 0.939; AGFI = 0.909; TLI = 0.990; CFI = 0.993; NFI = 0.959. The result of this research prove five hypothesis are accepted and one is hypothesis rejected. The five hypothesis accepted are show brand ambassador positively affect to brand image, product quality positively affect to purchase decisions, product quality positively affect to brand image,  price positively affect to purchase decisions and brand image positively affect purchase decisions and 1 hypothesis rejected is show price is not significant but positively affected to brand image.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) of the Banking Profitability (ROA). The population in this study is the object of all commercial banks in Indonesia which consists of banks go public and non go public banks listed in the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan in 2014. While the number of samples used by 69 commercial banks, comprised of 23 banks go public and 46 bank non go public. Samples were taken by purposive sampling system with the criterion that the banking companies whose financial statements have been published by the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan in the period 2011-2014. The method used in this study using multiple regression analysis with the hypothesis test tools t test and F test. Through the simultaneous hypothesis test (test F) note that the CAR, NPL, LDR, NIM and ROA have significant effect on the profitability of banks, both banks go public and non bank go public with a significance level of 0.000. While based on the partial hypothesis test (t test) on commercial banks to go public indicates that the variable NPL, NIM and BOPO significant effect on bank profitability(ROA). While the variable CAR and LDR no significant effect on bank profitability. The value of adjusted R2 in regression models go public bank obtained at 0.869. This shows that the influence of independent variables namely CAR, NPL, LDR, NIM and BOPO to dependent variable (ROA) of 86.9% while the remaining 13.1% is influenced by other factors. On the results of partial hypothesis test (t test) on banks non go public indicates that the variable CAR and BOPO significant effect on bank profitability. While variable NPL, LDR and NIM no significant effect on bank profitability (ROA). The value of adjusted R2 in the regression model non go public bank earned 0.637. This shows that the influence of independent variables namely CAR, NPL, LDR, NIM and BOPO to dependent variable (ROA) of 63,7% while the remaining 36.3% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The problem in this research is a decrease in the amount of third party funds (savings) are decreased and the high number of closing the savings account of Islamic banking. This research aims to test the power of perceived service quality and perceived value to religious satisfaction to improve consumer resaving interest in an Islamic Banking in semarang (study in BNI Syariah). This study using three independent variable is perceived service quality and perceived value , variable resaving intention consumer as a dependent variable and variable religious satisfaction as intervening.A method of this research technique using probability sample that is random sampling and clusters of sampling to sample as many as 100 of respondents in the middle class and over who had bought an apartment in semarang .A method of data analyst using a technique double regression analysis , the analysis includes: test the validity of , a test of reliability , test the assumption of the classics , linear regression test doublet test , test f , test the coefficients determined and test sobel.The results show significant and positive effect perceived service quality to religious satisfaction and resaving intention, significant and positive effect perceived value to religious satisfaction and repurchase intention, and then significant and positive effect religious satisfaction to repurchase intention.

Abstract

This study aims to examine islamic bank’s insolvency risk in Indonesia. Insolvency risk is measured by Zscore method. Factors are used in this study which influence islamic bank’s insolvency risk are fee based income, cost inefficiency, loan asset ratio and size.            The population are islamic banks in Indonesia. This study use purposive sampling technique and select 5 (five) islamic bank for the sample. Characteristic of the sample are islamic banks in Indonesia which have periodic accounting data published by Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) in 2008-2014. The analisys method is multiple linier regression analysis.             The result show that fee based income, cost inefficiency and loan asset ratio have significant and positive influence on islamic bank’s insolvency risk, but size has no significant influence on islamic bank’s insolvency risk. Judging by the value of adjusted R square was 31,3% which means the independent variabel is able to explain 31,3% variation of dependent variabel.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, service quality, brand image and perception of price on purchase decisions of insurance services at AJB Bumiputera 1912 and analyze the most dominant factor in influencing the purchasing decisions of insurance services at AJB Bumiputera 1912.This research was conducted at AJB Bumiputera 1912 branch offices Cibinong. Methods of data collection in this study is a questionnaire filled out by the respondents AJB Bumiputera 1912 Cibinong customers who have made purchases insurance premiums, samples were taken of 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this research is non probability sampling with purposive sampling method. The analysis used in this study include the analysis of index numbers, validity, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear analysis and hypothesis testing that includes t-test, F, and the coefficient of determination ( ).Regression test results showed that the variable product quality, service quality, brand image and perception of price positive influence on purchase decisions of insurance services AJB Bumiputera 1912. Variable service quality has the greatest influence in the amount of 0.327%. Adjust R Square Results showed that 73.1% of purchase decisions variation can be explained by four independent variables in the regression equation, while the remaining 26.9% is explained by other variable not include in this study.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of product quality and brand image on purchasing decisions continuous form printing with using brand trust as mediator variable study on consumers Jadi Jaya Group, Semarang. The quality of continuous form products is to be considered consumers in making a purchase at Jadi Jaya Group. The strategy used by Jadi Jaya Group to maintain brand image is new innovations with printed paper-based Security Printing design that makes the company different from competitors and increase brand trust.This study used non-probability sampling is used for judgmental sampling. Data were collected from 197 respondents selected using criteria that should have made a purchase of continuous form at least twice. The method analysis used in this research was Maximum Likelihood test using the program of AMOS version 21.0.The results show that the product quality and brand image has positive influence on brand trust. But, brand trust did not positive influence on purchasing decisions. Then, product quality and brand image has positive influence on purchasing decisions continuous form at Jadi Jaya Group, Semarang.
