Abstract

The aims of this study are to analyze the effect of Earning per Share (EPS), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Price to Book Value (PBV), dan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on Stock Prices. This study was taken because there are still differences between the research study with each other and there is a difference between the real of research data with existing theory. This research was conducted using secondary data. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The criteria that needed are mining company whose shares are still actively traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, has a data independent and dependent variables for this study, and has a complete annual report for the year 2012-2014. Of the thirty-nine companies, only taken nineteen companies as research samples. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there are simultaneously influences between Earning per Share (EPS), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Price to Book Value (PBV), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on stock prices. Partially, Earning per Share (EPS), Price Earning Ratio (PER), Price to Book Value (PBV) has a positive and significant impact on stock prices and the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has a negative and significant impact on stock prices.

Abstract

The capital structure is one of complex financial decision as it relates to other financial decision variables. This study aimed to examine the effect of firm size and liquidity to capital structure by using profitability as an intervening variable. Log Natural Total Assets (SIZE) is used as a proxy for the size of the company, Current Ratio (CR) is used as a proxy for liquidity, Return on Assets (ROA) is used as a proxy for profitability and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) is used as a proxy for capital structure.This study uses 40 manufacturing companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange during the period 2010-2014 as the sample. Determination of the samples was done by purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is path analysis using computer software programs such as AMOS 20.0. Next, sobel test is used in the interest to test the strength of the indirect effect of independent variables on the dependent variable through intervening variable.The results showed that SIZE have no significant effect on ROA, while CR have significant positive effect on ROA. SIZE have significant positive effect on DER, while CR and ROA have significant negative effect on DER. Furthermore, sobel test results showed that ROA can not mediate the effect of SIZE to DER, while the ROA may mediate the effect of CR to DER.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the background on the phenomenon of the amount number of complaints. Increased number of complaints will lead to dissatisfied customer and will affect to customer loyalty.            The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of product quality, service quality, and brand image in influencing customer satisfaction, in order to increase customer loyalty of Klinik Kecantikan Cosmedic’s Semarang customers.            The research was conducted by taking samples using non probability sampling technique, which has ever visited and brought product/taking treatment in Klinik Kecantikan Cosmedic Semarang. The collection of data obtained from 150 customers of Klinik Kecanikan Cosmedic Semarang by filling questionnaire. Test method is a Maximum Likelihood analysis with Amos program version 21.0.            The analysis showed that quality product, service quality, and brand image are giving positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction.As well as the quality product, service quality, and brand image are giving positive and significant influence on customer loyalty.And customer satisfaction is also giving positive and significant influence to customer loyalty.

Abstract

This research aims to test the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio, Non Performing Loan, Loan to Deposit Ratio, Growth Deposit, and Bank Ownership to Net Interest Margin, with using Bank Size as control variable to compare the difference between using Bank Size as control variable and not using Bank Size as control variable.Research population in this paper is Banking listed in IDX 2010-2014 period and the amount of the banks is 30 not-liquidated banks by IDX and Bloomberg. Analysis technique used by this research is Pooled Panel OLS (Ordinary Least Square) with F-statistic test, t-statistic test, classic assumption test such as Normality test, Autocorrelation test, Heteroscedasticity test, and Multicolinearity test. Results show that CAR  and LDR have positive and significant to NIM, NPL and Growth Deposit have negative and significant to NIM, Bank Ownership has positive and not significant to NIM.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of credit risk, banking intermediation, liquidity risk, and management efficiency to banking profitability. The dependent variables in this study are Return On Assets (ROA) and Return On Equity (ROE). Meanwhile, the independent variables in this study are Allowance for Impairment Losses Ratio (CKPN), Loans to Deposits Ratio (LDR), Liquidity Gap, and Operating Expenses to Operating Incomes Ratio (BOPO).  The sampling technique is conducted by purposive sampling method. The number of total samples in this study is 9 conventional commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2010-2014. Data processing was performed using multiple linear regression analysis through classic assumption test beforehand. The results using ROA as the dependent variable showed that CKPN and LDR have a positive and significant effect on ROA, BOPO has a negative and significant effect on ROA, and Liquidity Gap has a positive but insignificant effect on ROA. Meanwhile, the results of this research using ROE as dependent variable showed that LDR and BOPO have a negative and significant effect on ROE, CKPN has a positive but insignificant effect on ROE and Liquidity Gap has a negative but insignificant effect on ROE. The results concluded that the profitability of banks can be influenced by CKPN, LDR, and BOPO.

Abstract

Employee performance is one of the most important factor in assessing the progress of a company. Performance is influence by several factors, one of them is employee engagement. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of employee engagement  and power distance as the moderator variable to employee performance.             This research was done in Patra Jasa Convention Hotel Semarang. The samples number determined in this research are 89 respondents and used purposive sampling method. As independent variable is employee engagement, moderating variable is power distance and dependent variable is employee performance. This research using simple regression and moderated regression analysis to verify and to prove the research hypotesis.            The results of analysis showed that employee engagement has a positive significant influence to employee performance and power distance may moderate relationship between employee engagement to employee performance.

Abstract

The food industry lately become a reference glimpsed by employers because its potential is quite large. Food entrepreneurs are always competing to build the public perception. Many companies implement specific strategies to influence consumer purchasing decisions. These activities aim to influence consumer purchase decisions so as to achieve the maximum profit in the sale.The population in this study were all employees of Special Warung Bebek Goreng mainstay Semarang. In this study, the study population refers to consumers who never make purchases at the point Deals Fried Duck mainstay Semarang unknown number. In consideration of the population is too much, this research is based on sampling.The result of this study showed that perception of price variable has positive and significant effect on employee purchasing decisions and promotion variable has positive and significant effect on employee purchasing decisions. Good price and good promotion will be able to improve purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Foreign currency derivatives are commonly used by companies to hedge foreign exchange risk. This study aims to examine the effect of Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Interest Coverage Ratio (ICR), liquidity, growth opportunity, firm size, foreign debt, and managerial ownership on hedging decision using foreign currency derivatives. Using purposive sampling, 93 non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2014 are selected as sample. Sample data are collected from annual report published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. Logistic regression analysis is used in this study to examine the effect of independent variables on dependent variable. The result of this study proves that ICR, growth opportunity, firm size, and foreign debt have positive and significant effect on hedging decision using foreign currency derivative. Liquidity has negative and significant effect on hedging decision using foreign currency derivatives. Whereas DER and managerial ownership do not influence hedging decision using foreign currency derivatives. The value of Nagelkerke’s R Square is 35,4% which means the variability of the dependent variable that can be explained by the variability of independent variables in the model amounted to 35,4%.

Abstract

Pantene is a shampoo well-known brand from PT. Procter & Gamble. Pantene became the market leader of category Shampoo over the last four years. But the high competition make a Brand value indexs of Pantene shampoo has  decreased, which means there is a decline in the performance of the brand. It is characterized by the decline in TOM Brand, Satisfaction, and Brand Share. As a market leader Pantene need to be careful because it is an indication of decreased in repurchase Intention. This study aims to determine the effect Selebrity Endoser and quality of repurchase Intention by Brand Trust and satisfaction as an intervening variable.This study used data on 197 young female respondents aged 17-35 in the city of Semarang who had used Pantene more than twice, Thus, this study can not be generalized to the context of other studies, both gender and age. This study used six variables: Celebrity Endorser, Quality, Satisfaction, Brand Trust, and Repurchase Intention. The analysis technique used in this research is Structural Equation Model (SEM) of AMOS 22.0. Research shows that to improve repurchase intentionof Pantene to young female in Semarang can only be done through one process, namely improving the quality of Pantene that will increase satisfaction and ultimately increase Interests repurchase intention of young female in city Semarang

Abstract

This research is motivated by intense competition in the modern retail industry in Indonesia. That is because a lot of new faces emerging modern retail players. However, there is one thing on consumer purchasing behavior in modern retailing that steal the show. Most consumers in major cities in Indonesia experiencing unplanned purchase ehrn shopping.The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of variables Availability of Money and Time, Store Environment, Hedonic Shopping Value, and Positive Emotions. Variable Availability of Money and Time, Store Environment, Hedonic Shopping Value, and Positive Emotions as an independent variable; and Impulse Buying as the dependent variable.The population used in this research is the consumer of Lottemart Jakarta. This research method using a non-probability sampling technique by purposive sampling method. Used as a sample 100 respondents. Data obtained from the questionnaire which is then processed and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis through SPSS program.The results showed that all four of independently variable has a positive influence on impulse buying. Of the four independent variables influence the Positive Emotions has the greatest impact on Impulse Buying.
