Background: The elementary school years constitute a critical period for the development of competence, aligning with the psychosocial stage of "industry versus inferiority." Self-confidence serves as a protective factor against mental health disorders; however, data from Berau Regency indicates the presence of children falling into "borderline" and "abnormal" mental health categories. Methods: This study employed a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 105 fourth and fifth-grade students from SDN No. 002 Sambaliung, selected using consecutive sampling. The Lauster Self-Confidence Scale, comprising 19 items, was used as the research instrument. Data analysis was conducted using univariate analysis to determine frequency distributions and percentages. Results: The findings revealed that the majority of respondents (59 students or 56.2%) possessed a good level of self-confidence, while 46 students (43.8%) fell into the low category. The respondents were predominantly aged 10–11 years, and almost all (98.1%) lived with their biological parents. Conclusion and Recommendations: While most students demonstrated strong self-confidence, the prevalence of low self-confidence remained notably high. It is recommended that schools and community health centers (Puskesmas) conduct periodic screenings and develop psychosocial interventions based on expressive communication to strengthen the children's self-concept.

Background: Cataracts are a leading cause of global blindness that has a wide impact on the lives of sufferers. Cataract surgery is the main solution for restoring vision, but its success needs to be studied through post-action quality of life measurements. This study aims to describe the quality of life of patients after cataract surgery in the work area of the Sambaliung Health Center in 2025. Methods: This descriptive quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was carried out in December 2025. All post-cataract surgery patients in the work area of the Sambaliung Health Center were sampled (n = 37) through total sampling. Data were collected using the Indonesian version of NEI VFQ-25 which has been validated (Cronbach's α = 0.961). Quality of life was categorized as Good (≥75), Adequate (60–74), and Poor (<60), analyzed univariately using SPSS. Results: The majority of respondents were late elderly (56–65 years, 45.9%), female (51.4%), high school educated (32.4%), and self-employed (32.4%). A total of 28 respondents (75.7%) had a good quality of life, 6 respondents (16.2%) were adequate, and 3 respondents (8.1%) were poor. Perfect scores were achieved on the dependency and color vision subscales (100%), while social function and role difficulties recorded the highest proportion of poor quality of life (27.0% each). Conclusion: Cataract surgery has a real positive impact on most dimensions of patients' quality of life in primary health care. However, the psychosocial aspect especially social function and role difficulties still require special attention. Holistic nursing care, including patient education and family support, is essential to optimize comprehensive recovery after cataract surgery.

Confidence in elementary school children is a belief in a positive attitude, and an individual's mental ability to understand their potential to act, be independent, make simple decisions, and adapt to the environment and achieve the desired results. Elementary school-age children are a group of 6-12 years old who are experiencing rapid development in various aspects, such as physical, cognitive, social, language, and emotional. This study aims to analyze the level of confidence in elementary school-age children at SDN 008 Lempunah, Jempang District. The study used a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique is consecutive sampling. The sample in this study consisted of 106 students. The instrument in this study is in the form of Lauster's confidence questionnaire, which is compiled based on five indicators of confidence on the Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out univariate to describe the characteristics of respondents and the distribution of student confidence levels. The results showed that most of the respondents were in the high category, namely 61 respondents (57.55%). Furthermore, respondents with low confidence levels amounted to 45 respondents (42.45%). The results of univariate data analysis showed that the confidence level of elementary school-age children at SDN 008 Lempunah was mostly in the high category. Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a global health issue that significantly impacts patients' quality of life. In the end stage, patients require routine hemodialysis therapy. Irregularity in treatment frequency can lead to a decline in clinical condition and quality of life. Methods: This study employed a quantitative, descriptive-correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 43 respondents were selected using a total sampling technique from among CKD patients undergoing routine hemodialysis twice weekly at Samarinda Medika Citra Hospital. The instruments used were a hemodialysis frequency observation sheet and the Kidney Disease Quality of Life-36 (KDQOL-36) questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman Rank test. Results: The study results showed a mean hemodialysis frequency of 23.6 and a mean quality of life score of 63.35. A significant correlation was found between hemodialysis frequency and quality of life (p=0.002; r=0.459), characterized by a moderate, positive correlation. Conclusion and Recommendations: There is a significant correlation between hemodialysis frequency and the quality of life of CKD patients. Adherence to the hemodialysis schedule plays a crucial role in improving patients' quality of life. Healthcare professionals are advised to enhance patient education and the monitoring of treatment adherence.

Delusions are false beliefs resulting from impaired judgment of reality, inconsistent with the individual's intellectual level and cultural background, and persist despite being contrary to facts and common sense. Delusions cannot be corrected and often occur in patients with mental disorders, one of which is delusions of suspicion. This study aims to apply psychiatric nursing care through guided imagery therapy to address the nursing problem of delusions of suspicion. This study used a descriptive design with a case study approach that illustrates the comprehensive nursing care management process. The subject was one patient with a nursing diagnosis of delusions of suspicion. The study was conducted at Menur Mental Hospital (RSJ) Surabaya, East Java, over three weeks. Data collection was conducted through a comprehensive nursing assessment, determination of the nursing diagnosis, formulation of interventions, implementation of nursing actions, and evaluation of nursing care outcomes. The case study results indicate that Mrs. N experienced a nursing problem of suspicious delusions. After receiving guided imagery therapy, her Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) score decreased from 92 to 76. Guided imagery therapy is a relaxation method that involves imagining pleasant situations to provide positive physical, emotional, and spiritual effects. The application of this therapy has been shown to help reduce the intensity of suspicious delusions in clients with mental disorders.
