Abstract

Several factors can be used to determine the success of consumer purchase intentions. In this study, the factors that can influence purchase intention are formed from social media marketing, e-commerce, and in-store displays. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of social media marketing, e-WOM, and in-store displays on purchase intention of skincare products (study on consumers of Rena beauty store-Tuban). This research is quantitative. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with judgmental methods. The sample used was 100 people. The respondent in this study has seen the contents of Tiktok owned by Rena beauty store and has never purchased skincare products at Rena beauty store, with an age range of 17-35 years. The measurement scale uses the Likert scale. The measurement method used is a questionnaire, data analysis using multiple linear regression equation models. The data is processed using SPSS version 26. The results of this study indicate that social media marketing has a significant effect on the intention to buy skincare products for consumers in Rena beauty store-Tuban; meanwhile, e-WOM has no significant effect on the intention to buy skincare products for consumers because beauty store-Tuban, the in-store display also does not affect. Significantly on the intention to buy skincare products to consumers of Rena beauty store-Tuban.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze the impact of work stress on job satisfaction with social support as a moderating variable. This research method is quantitative, using Simple Random Sampling for its sampling technique. There were 60 employees as samples”the data collected by observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The statistical analysis used in this study was descriptive analysis and data analysis by utilizing Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS 3.0 as the tool and Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) software. The result shows that work stress has a negative and significant influence on job satisfaction. Work stress will result in a decrease in job satisfaction felt by employees. As well as social support did not moderate the relationship between work stress and job satisfaction. Social support does not decrease the impact of work stress on job satisfaction that occur within the company. The company should manage the work stress level to fulfil workers' job satisfaction and avert adverse effects to the company's activities.

Abstract

On March 2nd 2020, the first case of Covid-19 was found in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the reaction of the Indonesian capital market to the first case of Covid-19 using average abnormal return (AAR), cumulative abnormal return (CAR), and trading volume activity (TVA) before and after the event. The observation began seven days before and seven days after that event. The population of this research uses the data of mining sector companies listed in February and March 2020 on the BEI. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a total of 41 mining companies. This study uses quantitative research and the comparative method the research testing by Wilcoxon Signes Rank Test. The result showed no differences in AAR, CAR, and TVA of mining sectors between before and after the announcement of the first cases of Covid-19. Investors are expected to be more careful in making investment decisions because this pandemic has occurred for a long time and around the world.

Abstract

The research of this study investigates financial management behaviour among the user of the Paylater in Surabaya. It also analyzes the relationship between financial socialization, financial knowledge, financial experience, and locus of control as a mediating variable. This research is conclusive causality, used purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The total number of respondents obtained was 234 respondents by distributing questionnaires online. Data analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique in the AMOS software. The results show that financial knowledge significantly impacts financial management behaviour, while financial socialization, financial experience, and locus of control do not affect financial management behaviour. The mediation testing result shows that locus of control cannot mediate between financial knowledge and financial management behaviour. Because the sample dominant is the student and age range between 15 and 24, almost all of them still have income from their parents, so they can not manage financial independence to the greatest extent and do not have much experience related to finance. It was also caused by female respondents who often engage in impulsive buying. This study could be helpful to references for various parties, especially Paylater users, to be responsible for making financial decisions and wise in managing their finances.

Abstract

This study is a quantitative study that aims to determine the effect of the current ratio, debt to asset ratio, return on assets, and firm size on financial distress. Logistic regression method was used to test all relationships between independent variables and dependent variables with nominal/ordinal data scales. The dependent variable in this study is financial distress. The independent variables in this study are liquidity, leverage, profitability and firm size. This study uses secondary data from annual reports of trading, service, and investment companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2018. The population used is companies in the trade, services, and investment sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). from 2016 to 2018 with a total of 162 companies selected using purposive sampling technique. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that the current ratio, debt to asset ratio, return on assets, and firm size have no effect on the company's financial distress. From research conducted by researchers, for management to be used as a basis to take corrective actions if there are indications that the company experiencing financial distress. For investors, to be used as a basis in making the right decision to invest in a company.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the capital market experiences very rapid growth. The increase of the IDX Composite in 2016 was an indicator of capital market developments and affects investment activities. The investment activities related to the investment judgments of investors are affected by many factors. This study discusses the impact of financial literacy, herding behaviour, risk perception, overconfidence, experience regret, and the illusion of control on investment decisions. This study used 100 equity investors registered in an investment gallery at the Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri as samples. The analysis technique is SEM PLS. Results show that financial literacy, overconfidence, and illusion of control affect investment decisions. Besides, herding behaviour, risk perception, and experience regret do not influence investment decisions. The significance of these findings is to provide knowledge about the aspects and factors that influence investment decisions. Financial literacy allows investors to gain more information and learn about investments to avoid and prevent risks. Overconfidence gives investors sufficient certainty and information in making decisions by paying attention to the risks to prepare themselves to receive returns from the undertaken investments. The illusion of control makes investors believe in their abilities which can trigger investment results. Students with better financial knowledge can make better investment decisions.

Abstract

Financial management behavior is organized, regulated, managed, and saved funds to achieve financial well-being. The study aims to effects of financial literacy, income, hedonistic lifestyle, self-control, and risk tolerance on financial management behavior. The object used in this research is the millennial generation based in Surabaya with a monthly income. This study focuses on the millennial generation since they are stigmatized for their excessive consumption and inability to conserve money. This study employs quantitative research and the Structural Equation Model as a method of analysis (SEM). A total of 200 people responded to the survey. According to this study, financial management behavior is influenced by hedonistic lifestyle and self-control, but not by financial literacy, income, or risk tolerance. This finding is because most respondents are still in college, and the study's limitations include the inability to include other variables such as intention and social standing. This study could be helpful to reference for various parties, especially the millennial generation, to be better at self-controlling their consumption and increase their financial literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and explain the effect of authentic leadership on service recovery performance and customer-oriented organizational citizenship behavior (Co-OCB) through job crafting and HR flexibility at a telecommunication company, PT. Telkom Indonesia in Surabaya region. This research is causality research with a quantitative approach”the sampling technique used non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. Statistical analysis used Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS 3.0 software. This study explains that authentic leadership does not affect customer-oriented OCB and service recovery performance. Then Co-OCB does not have any effect in mediating the relationship between authentic leadership and service recovery performance. However, job crafting has been shown to mediate the relationship between authentic leadership and Co-OCB and service recovery performance. HR flexibility is not proven in moderating the relationship between authentic leadership and job crafting in the context of high flexibility.

Abstract

The Pandemic Covid-19 makes many people have to live their lives by starting new habits. The form of activity to maintain the health of the body is to exercise. Cycling is one of the trending sports that people love during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was noted that there was a demand for the domestic bicycle market. Bicycle manufacturers are experiencing intense competition. They compete to provide bicycles of good quality at competitive prices. The existence of this tren raises the community's hedonic lifestyle, such as shopping activities and hunting bicycles for fun. The purpose of this research to analyze the effect of hedonic lifestyle, price, and product quality on United's bicycle purchase decisions in Tulungagung Regency. This study uses a sample of 220 respondents who live in Tulungagung Regency with male and female genders of at least 16 years. The sampling method was judgmental sampling with a Likert scale as a measuring instrument. The analysis in this research uses multiple linear regression equation models with SPSS 26. The results showed that the variables of hedonic lifestyle, price, and product quality significantly and positively influenced purchase decisions. As a suggestion, United can increase sales by offering affordable prices and still provide the best quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of trust, comfort, and security on purchasing decisions at Shopee. With the development of an online shopping system that uses the internet, people are now following developments by having a mindset of consumer behaviour from conventional shopping to shopping digitally and online. Consumer confidence in online shopping through the system is very concerned about avoiding things that are not desirable. Therefore, it is necessary to ease of use of the system and strict security to conduct transactions online. The sample in this study were 200 respondents who were Shopee application users, both men and women aged 19-27 years. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques through the analysis tool IBM SPSS statistic version 26. This study indicates that the variables of trust, security, and convenience affect purchasing decisions. The Shopee application is expected to further improve the quality of service through what consumers feel through reviews about the Shopee application in terms of the trust, convenience, and security or other things if it is deemed unsatisfactory. This study recommends marketers to maintain customer loyalty. The Shopee application must also maintain the ease of use of the application, such as the development of the latest features that are more attractive and practical to make it easier for consumers to search for products until they decide to make transactions.
