Abstract

Investment activity in Indonesia steadily increases as more people become aware of the investment's value and potential returns. This study aims to determine the impact of status quo bias, herding behavior, representation, and mental accounting on the investment decisions of millennial investors in Surabaya. This study is conclusive because it used purposive and snowball sampling techniques to obtain samples by distributing online questionnaires”the research sample as many as 241 respondents. The analysis technique uses Structural Equation Model (SEM). This study focuses on millennial investors registered with the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) and securities firms in Surabaya. The findings suggest that the variables status quo and regret aversion significantly bias investment decisions, whereas herding behavior, representativeness, and mental accounting do not affect investment decisions. Thus, this study can assist various parties, particularly millennial investors, pay more attention to their biases and be more cautious when making investment decisions

Abstract

Working in the financial services sector, such as assurance and banking, can be stressful for employees. However, employees who have organizational attachments and coworkers support will reduce turnover. This investigation intends to analyze the impact of coworker support on turnover intention through organizational embeddedness as an intermediary variable at PT. BCA KCP Kapas Krampung Surabaya. The sampling technique used saturated samples with a total of 34 employees. Data were gathered by conducting interviews and spreading questionnaires to employees, then processed using SmartPLS 3.3.3 software tools. The finding proves that coworker support has a significantly positive effect either on organizational embeddedness and turnover intention. Furthermore, organizational embeddedness also holds a significant and negative influence on turnover intention. This result supported the existing theories based on a thorough analysis of the literature.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many sectors, one of which is the capital market. The Coronavirus has claimed lives and can shake the order of life of a country. From an economic point of view, almost all countries experience a recession, a reduction in economic activity, increased unemployment, and a decline in people's purchasing power. This research examines the effect of the BI interest rate, exchange rate, inflation, SSEC index, KLSE index, SET index, and DJIA index on the Composite Stock Price Index. The research population is daily data during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia from March 2020 to November 2020. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The number of samples is 111 data. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS 25 software tools. The results show that the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar has a negative effect and the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange has a positive effect on the Composite Stock Price Index, while the BI interest rate, inflation, SSEC index, the SET index and the DJIA index have no impact on the Composite Stock Price Index. However, all independent variables simultaneously affect the Composite Stock Price Index.

Abstract

PDAM Giri Tirta of Gresik Regency is a Regional Owned Enterprise engaged in distributing clean water to all areas of Gresik Regency to meet the basic needs of clean water for all communities. The impact of the pandemic's environmental change has affected the work-life of employees and has an impact on the level of job satisfaction and employee performance. This study aimed to determine and explain how work-life balance affects employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research is a type of quantitative research. The object of the research at PDAM Giri Tirta, Gresik Regency, Menganti Branch. Sampling technique using the saturated technique, namely all populations of the research object, totalling 32 employees as the research sample. This study uses Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis with the help of SmartPLS 3.3.2 software. The results showed that work-life balance had a significant positive effect on employee performance. Work-life balance has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has no significant effect but is positively related to employee performance, and work-life balance does not significantly affect employee performance through job satisfaction. So that job satisfaction does not have a mediating role between work-life balance and employee performance

Abstract

This study examines the influence of job resourcefulness on individual crafting and collaborative crafting through work engagement as a mediator variable. This research uses a quantitative approach, using a survey to collect data. The sample in this study amounted to 100 employees from 4-star hotels throughout Surabaya who are registered in the Traveloka. This research used Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the assistance of Smart PLS 3.0 software as the statistical analysis. This research shows that job resourcefulness has a significant positive direct influence on individual crafting and has a significant and positive individual influence on individual crafting through work engagement on 4-star hotel employees. Job resourcefulness is found to have a significant and negative direct influence on collaborative crafting. Job resourcefulness has a significantly direct indirect influence on collaborative crafting through work engagement with 4-star hotel employees. The implications of this study need to increase the collaborative crafting employees by involving all employees in the procurement of discussion forums, so they can harmonize the thought between employees in the company so that the existence of the forum there will be similarities of perceptions so that work collaboration can be well established.

Abstract

The focus in this study is to discuss the effect of employee resilience on employee performance with life satisfaction as a mediation variable. The object of this research is the nurses at Rumah Sakit Islam Surabaya with the respondents is 71 nurses. This study used quantitative methods to process questionnaires that have previously been distributed online. Then used statistical analysis Partial Least Square with smartPLS 3.3 program. This study shows that there is a positive and significant influence between employee resilience to performance and employee life satisfaction. However, there was no significant influence found between satisfaction on employee performance. Furthermore, the relationship between employee resilience and employee performance through life satisfaction variables as a mediation was not found to have a significant effect. The implication of this research is that to maintain and improve the performance of nurses, it is necessary to have adaptive and resilient nurses in facing various challenges in the world of work, regardless of the level of life satisfaction of nurses.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze the effect of teamwork on employee performance through employees' job satisfaction at PT. Jasa Raharja Cabang Jawa Timur. This research is causality research with a quantitative approach. The population in this research is 159 employees. The sample was collected through a random sampling technique and obtained 62 respondents”the statistical analysis using Partial Least Square with SmartPLS 3.0. The results show that teamwork has a positive and significant influence on employee performance, teamwork has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Teamwork has no significant influence on employee performance through job satisfaction. Companies can encourage employees to do teamwork by creating teams to complete tasks.

Abstract

The sustainability of a tourist attraction is reflected by the experiential satisfaction of visitors to tourism objects. One of the influencing factors is to create engaging experiential marketing and make an impression on the visitor's mind and the image attached to the company. Experiencing engaging experiential marketing and a good image from the company makes visitors feel experiential satisfaction and revisit intention. This study aims to determine the effect of experiential marketing and zoo image on revisit intention with experiential satisfaction as an intervening variable. This study used 200 samples with a non-probability sampling technique using the purposive sampling method. Data were collected using an online questionnaire. The analytical tool in this research is path analysis using AMOS and IBM SPSS. Based on the study results, experiential marketing positively affects experiential satisfaction and revisit intention directly, unlike the zoo image, which positively affects experiential satisfaction but not revisit intention. As a suggestion, Surabaya Zoo can improve visitors' image, such as improving the services provided and adding engaging experiential marketing to attract visitors' engagement again in the future.

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus that spreads globally has an impact on economic growth in Indonesia. Several business sectors have experienced a decline in performance due to the government's restrictions on outdoor activities to prevent the spread of this virus. For this reason, SMEs must be able to adjust their marketing channels from offline to online to optimize marketing performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the online marketing tools is social media. This study investigates the use of social media on marketing performance with innovation capability and branding capability as mediating variables. This study uses 200 samples of respondents who are the owners of SMEs that collected through an online questionnaire. We use the Partial Least Square (PLS) method to test the hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that social media has a significant effect on innovation capability and branding capability and helps SMEs improve their marketing performance. This research also proves that innovation capability and branding capability successfully mediate the influence of the relationship between social media use on marketing performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of empowering leadership on teachers performance with psychological empowerment as a mediating variable. Research object at SMPN 1 Pacitan and SMPN 2 Pacitan. This study uses quantitative methods with a population of 101 teachers and uses a simple random sampling technique with 81 respondents. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with analysis method, namely Partial Least Square (PLS). Data processing used Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results of this study conclude that empowering leadership has a significant positive effect on teachers performance, empowering leadership has a significant positive effect on psychological empowerment, psychological empowerment has a significant positive effect on teachers performance, and psychological empowerment as a mediating variable affects the relationship between empowering leadership and teachers performance. Principals must increase the effectiveness of empowering leadership by applying high work discipline so that the psychological empowerment of teachers will also increase and have a good impact on the teacher's performance. Local government support in the provision of learning support infrastructure also needs to be improved, thus making it easier for teachers to improve the quality of teaching to students.
