Abstract

A research application of life skills-oriented worksheets on circulatory system materials has been conducted. The study aims to describe the increase of cognitive learning outcomes of students. This study used a pre-experimental design of pre-test and post-test group. The population of this study is all students of class XI IPA SMA. The sample in this research is the students of class XI IPA 1, SMAN 1 Ngoro Jombang. The results show that there is an increase of student learning outcomes from pre-test to post-test that are indicated by the results of classical mastery of 11.1% to 82.3%. These show that the application of life skills oriented worksheet on circulatory system matter can be done well and was be able to increase student learning outcomes. Abstract

The objective of this research are to produces a genetics substance interactive slide media that feasible theoretically. Theoretical feasibility got from a validation media. This research is a development research especially slide interactive development based on Ms. Power Point. The data was collected by using media and materi sheet validation. The results of this research is a genetics substance interactive slide media was feasible theoretically. Abstract

Joyful learning can be performed by using appropriate media and learning resources. Comic is a visual media which contain of illustration, text, color, and paragraph that joined in a plot of story. The purposes of this research were to develop comic Arthropoda as educational media in grade X Senior High School and to describe theoretical feasibility of comic based on the expert’s validation. This research was development research which used 4D models, which consisted of four steps, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, the step of disseminate was not be done. The result showed that the theoretical feasibility got average scores 3,77 (very good). Key words: joyfull learning, comic arthropoda, 4D models, Senior High School Grade X

Abstract

Writing biology tests for Grade X, the biology teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Mejayan do not perform a qualitative review maximally before they apply them as a test instrument for their students. This shows that the biology teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Mejayan do not apply the procedure of how to write tests in accordance with the standard. This thesis is aimed to know the logical validity dealing with the aspects of materials, constructions, and languages, and revise the tests to make them more valid. This thesis took use of Deskriptive Qualitative Method. The samples of Biology-Test Bank were determined by Purposive Sampling Technique. Meanwhile, data were collected using Documentation Method. The logical validity was qualitatively reviewed based on aspects in the instrument. The review reveals that most multiple-choice tests are suitable to the aspects of materials, constructions, and languages. Some items need revision for the aspect of constructions. All of essay-tests meet all the aspects of review. Therefore, most test items have good logical-validity because they fulfill standard needs, but some items need to be revised for the aspect of constructions. The revision have been done, so that all test items are valid and suitable to an acceptable standard Keywords: qualitative analysis, test bank, logical validity.

Abstract

The rule of education ministry and BSNP strengthen that the curriculum of formal and non-formal educations have the importance to develop learning which is oriented to life skill. The skill has its purpose to reach the students’ competence for their survival and adaptation in order to be successful in their life. Based on this explanation, the researcher developed a student worksheet which is oriented to life skill using 4-D model. The goal of the development of the student worksheet oriented to life skill which is practiced and can be prepared at school. The results showed that the worksheet valid from identity component, technical, construction, content and the life skill characteristics. The students’ positive response to the student worksheet which is oriented to life skill reach 84% with a good category. Keyword: Student Worksheet, Life skill, Human Sense

Abstract

Implementation of curriculum 2013 had a lot constraints, namely some material requires learning media to reach the goal of basic competencies, for example chromosome mutation material. Biology teacher of SMAN Kesamben stated that they facing difficulty in presenting the chromosome mutation material. Observation indicated that 84.3% of students said it was difficult to learn complex concepts and 100% of students required the learning media to help concepts understanding. Karyotype magnetic board is kind of learning media that able to solve that problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of karyotype magnetic board media theoretically based on the results of the media validation and empirically based on student responses and student learning outcomes. Research and Development (R&D) method was used in this study. The media development was started on November 2013 to April 2014 in the Department of Biology, FMIPA, State University of Surabaya. Media trial was conducted in SMAN Kesamben Jombang on March 18, 2014. The results showed the quality aspect of media got a percentage of 98.25%, the effectiveness aspect of the media got a percentage of 93.25%, the material aspect of the concept got a percentage of 97.5%, and aspect of language got a percentage of 100%. All of them included into very well criteria. Overall the karyotype magnetic board media is good based on theoretical feasibilty with a percentage of 97.8%. Empirical feasibility got percentage of 95.48% and 100% based on student responses and learning outcomes, respectively. Classical completeness average score is 89.25. Abstract

The development of one stay two stray learning package on vertebrate topic has been conducted. This study aimes to produce learning package using cooperative learning model with One Stay Two Stray type which is feasible and describe the theoretical and empirical feasibilities of the package. This research was done using the 4-D model. However, it was done for the first three stages. The results show that the lesson plan gets 3,71 of score, and the Student Worksheet gets 3,83. Lesson plan implementation get the score of 3,87. In addition, student’s activities were different for every meeting, and there was no irrelevant activity. Score of spiritual competence was 3,6 and social competence was 3,5. The mastery of knowledge competence was 100%. All of the students gave positive responses to the lesson that used One Stay Two Stray type of cooperative learning model. Based on all of the results, it can be concluded that the learning package is feasible theoretically and empirically. Abstract

The learning process requires media that helps in understanding the concept in this topic of matter. To learn cel’s organelles requires more than simply memorizing it need variation in the learning process. One of these variations to using a medium of learning. The purpose of this research is to produce a model of cell’s organelles. This research intends to knows the theoretical viable of organelles cell model that was make from XIth grade student mix flour dough as a learning medium. The developing model was make use of ASSURE development procedure. The research instrument used one validation sheet. The results showed that this is theoretically high viable as much as 92%. Abstract

Traditional game that consistently follow the development of period which going modern is combine traditional aspect in technology, there is tiger biology game using computer program application. The research was conducted to produce tiger biology game as learning media in environment pollution matter and to describe the theoretical and empirical feasibility. The development of tiger biology game using visual basic windows. This media design research using ASSURE method. The research result showed that tiger biology game worthy theoretically feasibility based on the validation from media in aspect of media format, language and design of media got value about 95,13% and got score in very feasibility category. Abstract

Flash media is a media that can visualize something which is abstract into concrete and tangible. Development of research aims to produce flash learning media in the topic of growth and development in plants which is feasible theoritically. The feasibility of media based on the feasibility of material and media. This development research used ASSURE model which consist of six phases, starts from analyze learner until evaluate and revise. Then, the media tested limitedly toward students. The result of media feasibility theoritically consist of topic and media. The topic and material very fasible and feasibility got the same value about 3,64 and 3,62. Based on the result of theoritically feasible, flash media of growth and development in plants is feasible to be used in the learning process.
