Abstract

ABSTRACT Hearing impairment made the speech ability disturbed which caused a complex development problem one of them was little information accepted by the children so that it had impact to their writing ability. It was needed a learning which helped the children in writing by concerning the children’s characteristics. The scientific approach was learning approach which prioritized visual sense and helped to process the information obtained during learning. This research had purpose to analyze the influence of scientific approach in learning writing especially in writing concept to Science learning. This research used quantitative approach of pre experiment research kind and one group pre-test – post-test design. The subject in this research was hearing impairment children of class V numbering 8 children. The research location was in SDLB-B Karya Mulia I Surabaya. The data collection technique was test with the data analysis technique of statistic non parametric using Wilcoxon match pair test formula. The result of analysis data indicated that the usage of scientific approach significantly influenced toward learning writing to hearing impairment children of class V in SDLB-B Karya Mulia I Surabaya. Abstract

ABSTRACT A fine motoric ability required to be developed for the autism children because it required in doing learning activity and daily activity. The fine motoric aspects that should be developed in this research were handling, pinching, holding, rolling, and attaching things. The learning activity used to enhance the fine motoric ability was by three dimensions collage activity through activity steps from the start till the end. The subjects in this research were autism children who were five to seven years old numbering seven children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo. The purpose of this research was to prove whether there was influence of three dimensions collage activity toward fine motoric ability to autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo or not. The method of this research was quantitative kind and the data which was collected using participant’s observation was used to obtain the data of fine motoric ability to autism children before and after giving treatment. The research result was obtained from the pre-test result and post-test result. It was obtained that the pre-test result was 41,33 and the post-test result was 79,08. In this way, it could be concluded that Z counted = 2,28 was compared to critic value 5% Z table = 1,96. The result showed Z counted was greater than Z table (Zh > Zt) which meant that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted so it could be stated that there was significant influence of three dimensions collage activity application toward fine motoric ability to autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo.   Keywords: three dimensions collage, fine motoric ability

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hearing impairment students experienced disturbance to their hearing. As a consequence they were difficult to master language and low vocabulary. One of the aspects which should be obtained by the hearing impairment children was reading comprehension ability. The purpose of this research was to know whether there was influence of using snowball throwing method toward reading comprehension ability to hearing impairment students of class V in SDLB-B Karya Mulia I Surabaya or not. The research kind used was pre experiment using “one group pre-test post-test design”. The subjects in this research were hearing impairment students of class V numbering 7 students. The data collection technique used test. The technique of data analysis used statistic non parametric wilcoxon match pair test. The result of data analysis indicated that the average value of pretest was 43,21 and the average value of posttest was 88,56 so it produced Z counted 2,52 greater than Z table with critic value 5% i.e. 1,96. So, it was obtained that the usage of snowball throwing method significantly influenced toward reading comprehension ability to hearing impairment students of class V in SDLB-B Karya Mulia I Surabaya.   Keywords: reading comprehension, snowball throwing

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hearing impairment had impact to the students’ speech ability. As a consequence, the hearing impairment students had hindrance to the communication process especially in arranging sentence ability which tended not to be suitable with SPOC pattern causing the sentence difficult to understand. This research purpose was to observe whether there was influence of inductive pictured words model toward arranging jumbled sentence SPOC ability to hearing impairment students in SDLB-B Karya Mulia I Surabaya or not. This research used quantitative approach of pre experiment research kind and this research arrangement was one group pre-test post-test design with 6 hearing impairment students of class III in SDLB-B Karya Mulia I Surabaya as the subjects. The data collection technique was in the form of test with the data analysis technique i.e. statistic non parametric using sign test formula. The result of data analysis indicated that there was significant influence of inductive pictured words model toward arranging jumbled sentence SPOC to hearing impairment students in SDLB-B Karya Mulia I Surabaya.   Keywords: Inductive pictured words model, arranging jumbled sentence SPOC

Abstract

Abstract In adolescent phase various changes happened either physic or psychic. The changes happened would make the autism children confused. The autism had hindrance in communication side and social interaction side which caused the changes need some counseling, explaining, and directing so that it required sexual education for autism children. The learning strategy of sexual education was conveyed so that it prevented negative sexual behavior to autism children and supplied them entering their adolescent age. This research used qualitative approach and this research kind was qualitative behaving descriptive. The methods used in collecting data were observation, interview, and documentation while to analyze data used data condensation, data presentation, and taking conclusion. The research result and the data analysis indicated that the learning strategies used were group-individual learning and direct learning. The learning procedure of sexual education in SMPLB Cita Hati Bunda Sidoarjo involved pre instructional step, instructional step, and evaluation / follow-up. Pre instructional steps were deciding the learning purpose by doing assessment activity first, making learning program (individual or classical) in the form of PPI (AP form) or RPP, and preparing media and material needed in learning sexual education. Instructional and follow-up steps involved presenting material (demonstrating knowledge and skill), connecting (correlation, association or guiding training), concluding and giving feedback, and training of concept application. The learning methods of sexual education used in SMPLB Cita Hati Bunda Sidoarjo were demonstration method, drill method, telling story method, simulation method, assignment method, communication method through pictures and videos. The disturbance factors in applying the strategy of learning sexual education in SMPLB Cita Hati Bunda Sidoarjo were the mild and severe hindrance of the students’ behavior, the students’ intelligence level, and less sufficient learning media used.   Keyword :  The learning strategy,  sexual education

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This research about the influence of SAVI approach toward beginning reading ability to mild mentally retardation children was formed background by the hindrance of beginning reading of mild mentally retardation children. It was caused by less interesting learning in the school so that they were given fun learning through SAVI approach which had never been done before. The purpose of this research was to observe the influence of SAVI approach toward beginning reading ability to mild mentally retardation children. The research method used in this research was quantitative approach of pre experimental design kind with the arrangement of one group pre test-post test design. The statistic technique in the data analysis of this research was Wilcoxon matched pairs test. The data collection technique was in the form of test, observation, and documentation. The research indicated that before giving treatment the beginning reading ability of mild mentally retardation children had average value 39,28 and after giving treatment it enhanced to be 62,50. The research indicated that the value of Z counted (Zh) = 2,5 was greater than critic value of Z table 5% (Zt) = 2 (Zh > Zt) so Ho was refused Ha was accepted so that there was influence of SAVI approach toward beginning reading ability to mild mentally retardation.   Keywords: beginning reading, SAVI

Abstract

ABSTRACT In whatever activity it was surely required good concentration ability in order that the activity done would obtain maximum result. Autism children generally experienced disturbance in concentration especially focusing attention.With the disturbance in concentration ability the children’s activities in learning would be disturbed. This research purpose was to enhance the concentration ability to autism children through bowling game in SDLB PGRI Singojuruh Banyuwangi. This research was experiment with Single Subject Research (SSR) with A-B design. The subject of this research was autism children in SDLB PGRI Singojuruh who experienced concentration disturbance.Based on the analysis done it indicated that baseline phase (A) was done 4 sessions and intervention phase (B) was done 8 sessions meeting.According to the data analysis and discussion it could be concluded that there was enhancement of concentration ability to autism children after giving bowling game activity. Abstract

ABSTRACT One of the deaf students disorders in mathematics lesson was their understanding toward the material of the concept of multiplication of numbers count mathematics so that it had less good impact to learning mathematics result. Based on the problem, this research applied cooperative learning of Think Pair Share (TPS) type with the purpose to analyze the influence of cooperative model of TPS type toward learning the concept of multiplication of numbers count mathematics result to hearing impairment students before and after going treatment. The approach used was quantitative with pre-experiment kind and the design was one group pretest-posttest design. The data was collected by test method, observation, and documentation. The results of data analysis, shows that the use of implementation influence of cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share (TPS) type approach significantly to learning the concept of multiplication of numbers count mathematics result to deaf students in SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.   Keywords:Think Pair Share, learning mathematics result

Abstract

Abstract One of the obstacles of deaf children is the ability to speak. Language skills include listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Efforts to overcome these obstacles in the form of the use of tools (ABM) and the installation of cochlear implants. This study aims to determine the language skills of deaf children who use cochlear implants, barriers experienced, as well as the intervention provided. The research used qualitative research approach case study type. Technique of collecting data using observation, interview, documentation study and test. Data analysis techniques use source triangulation, technique, and time. The results showed that the ability to listen and speak initially just by looking at the motion of the lips and has not spoken, now the ability to listen and speak simple sentences, complex and semi-complex can only be heard. The obstacles experienced are concentration problems, and also very active students. Interventions for inclusion in the form of classroom learning, tutoring reading, writing, arithmetic and AVT (Auditory Verbal Therapy). The conclusions of this study is to use cochlear implants language skills of deaf children develop properly in accordance with the curriculum of language skills of deaf children with cochlear implant (adapted from notes Shepheard Center Intermede AVT Course 2013). Abstract

ABSTRACT This research purpose was to observe whether there was influence of using direct learning model based modification monopoly game toward recognizing money value ability to autism children in SDN Sambikerep 1 Surabaya or not. This research used pre experiment kind with one group pre test – post test design.From the research result it was then analyzed using sign test formula. It was obtained that Zh value = 2,05 > Zt = 1,96 to significant level 5%. So, it could be concluded that there was influence of direct learning model based modification monopoly game toward recognizing money value ability to autism children in SDN Sambikerep 1 Surabaya.   Keywords: Direct learning model, modification monopoly game, money value.
